On September 19, 2002, three fishing boats in Qiongxi County, Nanhai Province were driven away and shot at by two Vietnamese coast patrol boats while they were operating normally in the waters near Bailongwei Island. The three fishing boats were trying to avoid the Nanhai Island.  During the process, a distress signal was sent out. It happened that a frigate sailing from a military port in western Guangxi to the military port in Tianya City to change defenses happened to meet and dealt a decisive blow to the Vietnamese patrol boat that had chased the Chinese fishing boat into Chinese waters, sinking it on the spot.  A Vietnamese patrol boat and another patrol boat were injured and fled to Bai Longwei Island.

The Vietnamese troops stationed on Bailongwei Island engaged in a fierce artillery battle with the frigate. Both sides fired dozens of cannons and each suffered damage.  After hearing the news, the guided-missile destroyer Yangcheng of the South China Sea Fleet, which came for reinforcements, joined the battle group and used its powerful firepower to destroy the Vietnamese army's permanent military facilities on Bailongwei Island.

Subsequently, a Biejia-class frigate, a BPS-500-class light frigate and two other light frigates arrived from Vietnam's Haiphong Port for reinforcements and joined the battle group. The two Chinese ships struck preemptively and concentrated their superior firepower in a short period of time.  Within five minutes, the only BPS-500-class missile frigate of the Vietnamese army that threatened our ship was seriously injured and withdrawn from the battle. Three Vietnamese frigates tried to approach the Yangcheng, so that the Yangcheng could not take advantage of long-range attacks. As a result, China's  Another frigate made perfect tactical cooperation with the Yangcheng even though it was slightly injured. A C803 anti-ship missile launched by the Yangcheng hit the ammunition bunker of the Vietnamese Army's Bejia-class frigate. The explosive ammunition directly destroyed the ammunition bin.  A Bejia-class frigate was torn into two pieces and sank into the sea before the BPS-500-class frigate.

Under the strong visual impact, the other two surviving light frigates abandoned the bps-500 frigate that had been severely damaged and lost power and fled in a hurry towards Da Nang.

    ???????????????????????????????????????????????????¡

The Chinese warship changed its usual gentle attitude. The Yangcheng and another frigate followed closely behind the two escaping frigates, using anti-ship missiles and large-caliber artillery in response to their unauthorized entry into China's territorial waters to attack our Chinese fishing boats.  , two Vietnamese frigates did not escape the fate of being sunk in the end, and were sunk by our ships in waters less than 10 miles away from Vietnam¡¯s territorial waters.

This is the largest naval battle between China and Vietnam since 1988, and the military strength of both sides has reversed.  Back then, China was able to defeat the Vietnamese warships with four small-tonnage patrol boats and minesweepers. Now it uses the 7,000-ton Yangcheng to fight against the Bijia-class frigates with only a thousand-ton displacement and the several-hundred-ton class warships.  The disparity in combat power between light frigates is like that between a cat and a mouse. The strength of the two sides is not at the same level at all.

In this battle, one of the only five Biejia-class frigates of the Vietnamese army, which is also the largest warship in the Vietnamese navy, was sunk. One of the only two BPS-500-class light missile frigates was sunk, and another one was sunk.  Two small frigates were sunk simultaneously.  It was an extremely heavy blow to the Vietnamese navy, which made them clearly aware of the huge gap in strength between their navy and the Chinese navy.

China only sent a guided missile destroyer to participate in the war, which dealt a devastating blow to the Vietnamese navy. If China sends any of the three active aircraft carriers to the South China Sea, will the Vietnamese navy be able to huddle in the harbor?  Can¡¯t come out?  If the navy cannot play any confrontational role in front of the Chinese navy, then the Chinese navy can impose a naval blockade on the entire Vietnam.  Considering Vietnam's pitiful strategic depth, wouldn't China's navy, land and air forces be able to launch targeted attacks anywhere in Vietnam?

After the naval war, Vietnam¡¯s extravagant international intervention did not arrive as expected. Although Asian countries responded strongly to the Sino-Vietnam naval war, the direction of public opinion pushed Vietnam into an embarrassing position.

Although Vietnam suffered heavy losses in this naval battle, the focus of people's attention made it impossible for the Vietnamese to argue. The battle between the two sides took place within the waters of China from beginning to end.  Not even in any of the disputed waters between the two countries.

In other words, it was the Vietnamese navy that invaded China¡¯s territorial waters. Although it was only a short one or two nautical miles, it was an indisputable fact.

Conspiracy, this must be a long-planned conspiracy.

Why did Chinese fishing boats appear in the waters near Bailongwei Island for fishing operations soon after Chinese Defense Minister Zeng Anbang inspected the Diaoyu Islands and the South China Sea?  That sea area has always been one of the focuses of dispute between China and Vietnam. Vietnam claims that the fifteen nautical miles around Bailongwei Island is Vietnam¡¯s territorial waters based on the relevant provisions of international maritime law.  However, China believes that Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai only assigned Nightingale Island (Bai Longwei Island) to Vietnam for use.  The territorial sea was not handed over to Vietnam. Isn't this an unreasonable statement?

According to the Vietnamese military¡¯s understanding, when the patrol boats drove away the Chinese fishing boats, the fishermen on those fishing boats actually attacked the patrol boats with automatic weapons, which led to the two patrol boats being lured away.It entered the Chinese waters, and the Chinese frigate happened to pass by there. What's even more coincidental.  While the frigate was engaged in an artillery battle with the garrison on Bailongwei Island, the guided-missile destroyer Yangcheng 'happened' to arrive near Bailongwei Island. With the power of its ship and artillery, it destroyed Bailongwei Island and was unable to attack it at all.  The Yangcheng produced threatening coastal defense batteries.  The ensuing naval battle seemed to be the Chinese navy deliberately guiding the Vietnamese navy step by step into the urn. After being beaten, there was no room to reason.

The timing of this naval battle happened to coincide with the U.S. election. Vice President Michael, who had temporarily stepped down from power, was in charge of the U.S. President, and was competing with Reginald, another black presidential candidate who had suddenly emerged.  Fierce confrontations broke out between the two sides in several states, and their respective supporters spared no effort to cheer for their supporters. Since the United States crushed that terrorist attack, Michael has directed the anger of the Americans towards  Afghanistan, but the US military operations in Afghanistan were not as smooth as imagined. Those Afghan farmers holding "fire sticks" actually stuck the powerful US army to that barren land, making the Americans unable to advance or retreat.  , domestic anti-war voices grew louder and louder.

Michael's campaign platform this time is mainly to speed up the end of the US war in Afghanistan, and Reginald has held high the banner of peaceful development. They will not be concerned about this small-scale regional conflict currently taking place in Asia.  Those who express any opinions on the war will not express any personal opinions on the naval war between China and Vietnam, at least until the election is over.

Americans have no hope. The Vietnamese government is trying to arouse common hatred among ASEAN countries, especially India, ASEAN's only strategic partner. It has increased its lobbying efforts.

There is also an old grudge between India and China over territorial issues. The two sides once had a Sino-Indian war, and they are still arguing in the Ngari area. The slogan "fight to Beijing" once appeared on the Indian military's propaganda board.  promotional slogan.

But at this time, India's financial market was hit hard by international venture capital funds. India was caught off guard and suffered a heavy loss. Fortunately, the Indian financial system had already formulated policies to deal with the impact of venture capital funds several years ago.  After taking a set of precautionary measures, India was currently engaged in a bloody fight with the crazy influx of small and medium-sized venture capital funds, and had no time to care about his Vietnamese brother. However, he morally shouted twice to cheer for his Vietnamese brother.  It's still ok.

Brother, I support you spiritually and realize your great wish. Didn¡¯t you say that wherever there are kapok trees, all the places with kapok trees belong to you? Why don¡¯t you just go all the way to their country and occupy western Guangxi, eastern Vietnam, and  South China Sea, occupation,,, hey, leave Beijing to us, that is ours.

India¡¯s attitude is like this. As for the attitudes of Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia, don¡¯t even ask. Damn it, you have all benefited from China in the past year or so.  , I guess I can¡¯t count on you, especially Cambodia. They still remember the hatred we had for supporting a puppet government in their country. As long as you don¡¯t stab me in the back by then.

Several other ASEAN countries remained silent on the dispute between China and Vietnam at almost the same time. They only advised both sides to treat it rationally and peacefully resolve the dispute between the two sides through communication, making it clear that they would sit on the sidelines.

China's military strength is getting stronger and stronger. No one is willing to provoke a powerful China. The Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia, and Indonesia have already restrained their behavior while preserving their vested interests.  You group of desperate Vietnamese monkeys are still provoking China's authority in the South China Sea time and time again. Not long ago, you also claimed sovereignty over the entire Nansha Islands.  Damn, if you have sovereignty over the entire Nansha Islands, doesn¡¯t that mean that all the islands and reefs we occupy also belong to you?  Since you are the one looking for a fight, please don¡¯t drag us into the water.  Your country alone occupies 29 islands in the Nansha Islands. I am afraid that you are the one that the Chinese hate the most. If they don¡¯t attack you, who will they attack?

The Vietnamese could not seek international assistance, so they aggressively issued a war mobilization order and gathered 70% of the country's troops on the Sino-Vietnamese border. Since we have no strength to confront you at sea, then we will be on land.  See the real chapter.

The militarist fanatics in Vietnam shouted slogans: "Follow the highway to invade western Guangxi, invade eastern Vietnam, invade Sichuan and Guizhou, invade Shaanxi-Gansu, and continue to attack Beijing."

The Chinese people only responded lightly to the clamor of the Vietnamese militarists: "Can you afford the highway tolls?" (To be continued.)
