Traveling with Mina saved Reno a lot of trouble. She knew far more about the magic tribe than she imagined.

They chose the fastest route, taking an airship from the City of Angels to the southernmost developed city in country A, and then transferred to a train to leave the country.  They had to pass through seven countries, large and small, to reach the magic tribe at the southernmost tip of Padea continent. There have been wars in the south in recent years. For ordinary people, such a trip is troublesome and dangerous.

Traveling also allowed Reno to truly enjoy the benefits of a licensed hunter. The rights enjoyed by a licensed hunter made him, who was cash-strapped, not worry about expenses.  They are in most cases exempted from the cumbersome formalities that ordinary people need to go through when crossing the border.

They successfully arrived in the southern city of country A and changed trains. That is, from the moment they were in the waiting room, they realized that someone was following them.

They have to take a three-day train to reach the small town on the border of country A. I heard that the two teams of AB are fighting fiercely there, and the people in the town have almost evacuated.  Many trains are terminated in cities fifty kilometers away from the town.  This train was changed into a special train for transporting military supplies, and it will reach the town directly.  Mina used the puppet ARM to get the train pass from the duty officer - although this behavior is not recognized by people, it can save them a lot of time.

"I don't know how many times I will encounter this kind of trouble. If I just arrive outside the town, I have to go through inspection before entering the town, and then I can leave the customs." The war made everyone nervous, and some levels would  Hunters are subject to very strict inspections because some of them may take on missions that endanger national security - this is a relative term and depends on the hunter's position.  Mina was lying on Renault's upper bunk, and through the car window, she observed the few people on the platform.

"Hey, look at that." Renault was the first to spot a little girl in a pink princess dress in the corner of the platform. She was staring at the car they were in with a pair of cold green eyes.  "She's following us."

"I started to be interested in the content of that letter." Mina simply closed the car curtains. Her move made Renault feel uneasy.  "Don't worry, she's just following for a while. She needs to rest. If she doesn't get enough rest after each mutation to rebuild the damaged tissues in her body, she will shrink again. She is already very small.  I won¡¯t take any more risks easily.¡±

"Then her next attack, isn't it?" A bloody picture flashed in Renault's mind, and he grinned.

"Yes, we are two people again. She will definitely be more ferocious than the wolf next time she transforms. We also have to be prepared to fight. If the letter is taken away, we will become the laughing stock of the hunting world. After all  It's just a B-level mission." Mina adjusted the pillow under her head and closed her eyes to rest.

"B-level? S-level is about the same. If you don't do it, your life will be in danger." Renault felt that the person who released the information was too damaged.

"It is precisely because it is important and does not want to attract too much attention that I deliberately downgrade the task. I am also worried that the person who takes over the task will not be qualified, so I conduct a test before confirming the candidate." Mina closed her eyes and yawned.  "So afraid of death, you shouldn't have tried to take on this hot potato when you realized something was wrong."

Renault pursed his lips and stopped talking.  Mina was right. After the middle-aged woman died, if he was afraid, he could have withdrawn immediately. Why did he have to continue to move forward and wade in this troubled water?  The real self is definitely much 'smarter'. He and the young Renault have become one, and the young man's lust often gets the upper hand unknowingly and does things he doesn't want to do

The further south you go, the more intense the war becomes.  The power of the Sun Empire kept the people away from the war. Apart from the information they got from Le Monde or TV, how could they truly understand the suffering of the people in the war.  There are people fleeing everywhere, and it is getting harder and harder to take the train. Those fleeing the war zone are pouring into the station like a tide. The order that should be there has long been disrupted. Some places have no choice but to send troops to maintain order.  Only in this way can overcrowded trains run normally.

The next city they were heading to had fallen, and newspapers reported that the enemy had carried out a brutal massacre, with dead bodies and burned-down houses everywhere.  The train stopped halfway, and the people who had just escaped from a place and fled with a glimmer of hope were once again desperate.  The trains were impassable, so the refugees could only leave in small groups. The news they got was not as fast as the war progressed, so they could only flee everywhere in confusion.

They saw too many unfortunate things along the way. Although Renault and Mina felt sad and sympathetic, they seemed so helpless.

"The train is unavailable, and we have to go around the occupied city. Even so, we still have to pass through the areas under the jurisdiction of the army." Renault has gradually become accustomed to this kind of thing. He unfolded the country map. They traveled for nearly a month and already  Once you reach the border of this country and leave the country, you willWe entered the Devil's Forest, which is the territory of the "Devils". They like to plunder and kill, and the country's army failed to repel them in the end.

"According to the people who escaped earlier, the 'Devils' did not station troops in the captured towns. Their numbers are not large. They can only rely on fighting and robbing along the way, and then they will bring the loot back to the Devil's Forest." Mina  She took out a thick stack of money from her pocket and returned home. She was so poor that she could only rely on Renault and Cole for financial support, and she immediately became a rich woman.  "We have to find transportation, a car or a horse or something. We can't walk. I can't bear the distance."

It¡¯s obvious that the trip down there won¡¯t be easy again.  Renault felt that at this juncture, it was harder to buy transportation than to reach the sky. The fleeing people needed these things more than they did, and it would be difficult to buy them no matter how much money they had.  But he didn't say anything. Luck cannot be ruled out. There are always a group of people who are making money in troubled times.  Maybe they can find someone like that.

When Renault was at the train station, he picked up a city travel guide from the service desk in the waiting room. There were always maps of famous cities in it.  He rummaged for a while and finally found a small town called "Sakura Town" famous for its cherry blossoms near the occupied city. There was no report in the newspaper that there was an attack by a "demon" there.  "Let's take a detour to Sakura Town. Maybe we can buy what we need there."

Mina looked at the sky. The sun was already heading west. Sakura Town was not too far away from where they got off the bus. If they walked, they should be able to reach it before dark.  And they can't take a longer detour, otherwise they won't be able to reach the magic tribe until who knows when

In the evening, Renault and Mina finally arrived at Sakura Town.

The setting sun slanted over from the Western Mountain, and everything on the ground was covered in a blur of rose color.

Walking on the cobblestone avenue of the town, Renault looked around. The scenery of the town was beautiful, with fiery red roses blooming everywhere. Even the thick cherry trees on both sides of the avenue were entangled with blooming rose vines.  The flowers looked even more gorgeous in the rosy sunset.

It is midsummer now, and the cherry blossom season has long passed. There are not even half a cherry on the originally fruit-bearing tree.  Renault was a little confused. Even if it was harvested, it wouldn't be so clean, right?  After all, it is a tourist town famous for its cherry blossoms, so some should be left for tourists to pick.  But then I thought about it, when the war is raging, who is still in the mood to come here to pick cherries?

¡°It¡¯s so quiet, there¡¯s no one there.¡± Mina slowed down slightly and scanned the closed shops on both sides of the road.  "Has everyone evacuated?"

"It's possible that the nearest big cities have been lost. Who can guarantee that the demons will not pass by and loot the place." Renault found a car repair shop ahead, "Maybe we can find a car to drive there.  "

"Well, I have to find a place to stay after that." Mina agreed and followed Renault.

The door of the car repair shop was also closed, but it was not locked. Renault easily opened the door.  Like all small-scale car repair shops he was familiar with, in addition to a variety of repair tools and spare parts, there were naturally a few cars.  Renault and Mina went to check the cars separately, hoping that one of the cars had been repaired before the store staff evacuated, and its owner happened to not pick it up in time.

Of course, it is not allowed to take advantage of others, but Mina has already thought that if she drives the car away tomorrow, she will leave enough money to buy a new car - if things go as they expected, the whole town will  If everyone evacuates.  If the situation had been different and there were still people in town, they would have thought of another solution.

"Hey, this one is good." Renault found a jeep, and when he spoke to Mina, he stepped on the accelerator, slowly drove the car out of the small temporary parking lot, and drove into the maintenance room.  .

"Great." Mina also found a few tanks of gasoline and moved them to the back seat simply.

"We have to check the situation again. There may be someone. Maybe we can find a shop selling cars in the town." Driving the cars here is the last resort. They still have time and are not in a hurry to make a decision so early.  Renault suggested, turning the Jeep off.

"There was a convenience store where we walked. We went there to get some food and then walked around. It is impossible for a small town like this to have a car shop. It is a luxury product. Only big cities can have such things.  Shop. You're lucky to find a car repair shop in a small town." Mina shrugged and walked out of the car repair shop first.

As night falls, the street lights in the town are lit up, shrouding the quiet town in a warm dusk.  The shops in the town did not turn on the lights to drive away the darkness. The street lights shone weakly through the closed or half-open windows. The furnishings in the houses were gray and there was a dead silence.??

"These street lights should be set by the street lighting system and will automatically light up at the set time." Renault analyzed.

The night wind blows from the sky, accompanied by the rich fragrance of roses.

Mina raised her hand to rub her nose and complained: "The floral fragrance is too strong. It's obviously Sakura Town. Why are there so many roses? Just change the name to Rose Town."

Renault doesn¡¯t like such a strong floral fragrance either. The square garden at the bottom of the underground city is also full of roses. When the air is not as circulated as in a small town, why don¡¯t you feel the floral fragrance is so strong?
