When you take refuge in the Buddha, you should wish all living beings to understand the Tao and have the supreme intention; when you take refuge in the Dharma, you should wish all living beings to go deep into the sutras and become as wise as the sea; when you take refuge in the Sangha, you should wish all living beings to rule over the masses so that everything will be unobstructed and harmonious. Southern Saints.
Your Majesty Samantabhadra Bodhisattva Mahasattva said in his own words that he once became the Prince of Dharma with the Tathagata Tathagata Sands of the Ganges River. All Buddhas in the ten directions follow the example of Samantabhadra and teach Bodhisattvas to practice the conduct of Samantabhadra. To practice the practice of Samantabhadra, you must first understand the sea of ??Vairocana nature, and then you can enter the door of Samantabhadra practice.
The Buddha asked about Yuantong, and Samantabhadra replied: The original cause is to use ear recognition and follow the thoughts to distinguish, and you can send out the light of wisdom to illuminate all the machines, and gain great freedom. If there is a sentient being in another place, outside the bounds of Hengsha, who realizes in his mind - Samantabhadra, I, Samantabhadra, will immediately ride on a six-tusked white elephant, with thousands of incarnations, to come to the person who has the intention to meet him. Even if the barrier is deep and you cannot see me, I will secretly rub his head, protect and comfort him, and make his wishes come true.
The Supreme Buddha
Bai Xu: Your Majesty Samantabhadra Bodhisattva Mahasattva is here to gather all the great Bodhisattvas and all the people of the end of Dharma.
The grand solemn Buddha statue in Putian City - Samantabhadra Bodhisattva asked four questions to the supreme Buddha:
(1) If a Mahayana practitioner hears about the pure realm of perfect enlightenment, how can he practice it?
(2) If those sentient beings know that they are illusory, and their body and mind are also illusory, how can they be illusory and still cultivate in illusory?
(3) If all illusory natures are completely destroyed, then there will be no intention, and who will practice?
(4) If all sentient beings, in life and death, always live like an illusion, they have never understood it. If it is like an illusory realm, how can it be freed from delusional thoughts?
The Supreme Buddha answered the first question: Those who practice Mahayana should stay away from all illusions and false realms. Master Yuanying believes that the word "stay away" means practicing the law. It is to use the power of samatha and contemplation to first stop clinging to attachments, stop emotions and thoughts, and then observe all dharmas, which are false and unreal. With this power of tranquility and contemplation, you can stay away from all illusions and false realms.
The Supreme Buddha answered the second question: Those who practice Mahayana should not only stay away from the illusion, but also the "illusion mind" that leaves the illusion with the illusion mind. To reach the state of complete death.
The Supreme Buddha answered the third question: Those who practice Mahayana should get rid of the illusion. We also need to get rid of the ¡®illusory wisdom¡¯ that is used to understand the illusory mind. If you are free from the illusory mind, if you love the illusory wisdom, it will be a disease of the heart, so you should stay away from it.
The Supreme Buddha answered the fourth question: Those who practice Mahayana should stay away from illusionary wisdom. If there is a word "li" (that is, emptiness) in their hearts, they should stay away from it. In the end, there is nothing to leave, that is, all illusions are eliminated.
The supreme Buddha spoke of four kinds of separation in one breath: separation from the state, separation from the heart, separation from wisdom, and separation from emptiness. Peel off the layers. It rises step by step, from shallow to deep, with clear lines, until all illusions are gone and silence appears.
Vow to protect the scriptures
When the founder of Buddhism, Shakyamuni Buddha, preached the Lotus Sutra at the Lingshan Assembly, Samantabhadra came to listen to it together with countless countless hundreds of thousands of billions of bodhisattvas in the kingdom of Precious Majesty King Buddha. Samantabhadra proposed at the meeting: How can a good man or woman obtain the Lotus Sutra after the death of the Tathagata? The answer is: If people can do the following four points. You will definitely get this sutra. (1) Protect the thoughts of all Buddhas; (2) Plant the roots of all virtues; (3) Enter into samadhi; (4) Aspire to save all sentient beings.
Samantabhadra also said at the meeting: Five hundred years after the death of the World-Honored One, if there are people who accept and uphold this sutra, I will protect them and eliminate their decline. Make you feel safe. If a person does this, he will immediately read and recite this sutra. I will ride on the six-tusked white elephant king and go to the place with the great Bodhisattva to make offerings, protect and comfort his heart. If this person sits and meditates on this sutra. I took the elephant king again and went to his presence. This person has forgotten a verse or a verse of the Lotus Sutra. I should teach him and read and recite it together, so that he can see my body and be very happy. If there are monks, nuns, upasakas, and upasikas who accept, uphold, read, recite, and write this sutra with single-minded effort for three or seven days, I will ride on a white elephant and surround myself with countless bodhisattvas. In a body that all sentient beings like to see, he appears in front of them and preaches the Dharma. If a person accepts and upholds it, reads, recites and memorizes it, understands its meaning, practices it as it is said, it is the conduct of the Samantabhadra, and it is for Tathagata to rub his head and give prophecies. If it is written down, it will end a person's life and bring disaster to heaven. If a person accepts, upholds, reads and recites it and understands its meaning, at the end of his life, he will ascend to the place of Maitreya Bodhisattva in Tusita Heaven.
The Buddha greatly praised the spirit of Samantabhadra and Dharma protector: "You have achieved incredible merits and profound compassion. From a long time ago, you have aspired to the anuttarasamyaksambodhicitta, and you are able to make this magical wish and protect this sutra."
The meaning of esoteric teachings
In esoteric teachings, this Bodhisattva expresses bodhicitta, and is regarded as the same body as Vajrapani, Vajrasattva, and the All-meaning-achieving Bodhisattva. A line in Volume 1 of the Mahavama Sutra explains Universal Worthy, saying that "universal" means universal virtue, and "xian" means the most wonderful and good thing. The vows, deeds, body, speech, and thoughts arising from the bodhicitta are all equal and pervade everywhere. They are pure and wonderful and good, and are equipped with many virtues, so they are called universal sages.
This Bodhisattva is listed in both mandalas of the Golden Embryo of Esoteric Buddhism. In the mandala of the Vajra Realm, Samantabhadra is one of the sixteen deities of the Wise Kalpa. He is placed at the lowest position among the four Bodhisattvas in the north. His secret name is Vajra, and his samaya is in the shape of a sword. In the womb realm mandala, it is listed in Zhongtai Bayeyuan and Wenshuyuan. Among them, in the Eight-leaf Courtyard at the middle stage, he is sitting on a lotus flower in the southeast. His body is white and flesh-colored, wearing a crown of five Buddhas. He holds the lotus flower with his thumb and head fingers of his left hand. There is a lotus flower on the lotus. The sword is surrounded by flames. The right arm is extended with the palm raised and the ring finger and little finger bent. The samaya is in the shape of a lotus sword, and the secret number is really like a diamond. In Wenshu Monastery, it is located on the right back of Wenshu Monastery. The left hand holds a green lotus flower with a three-pronged pestle on it. The five fingers of the right hand are extended with the palm facing outward. The big finger is intertwined with the first and middle fingers. The ring finger and little finger are extended in front of the chest. , the shape of samaya is three strands on the lotus, and the secret number is really like vajra.
In addition, there are those who practice the Dharma with Samantabhadra Bodhisattva as their deity, which is called the Dharma of Samantabhadra. Samantabhadra Bodhisattva has the character of increasing life and extending life. When he lives in the state of Samadhi of increasing life and extending life, he becomes Samantabhadra Bodhisattva.
According to the records of Tantric scriptures, if all sentient beings can practice and pray to this Bodhisattva in accordance with the law, they will "never fall into the three evil paths and their life span will definitely be increased." There is no fear of premature death or short life, nor is there the fear of nightmares, evil spirits and curses from evil Rakshasa ghosts and gods. Nor is it harmed by water, fire, soldiers, poison. ¡¯ and can ¡®have great blessings and wisdom, and have victory wishes fulfilled. The official position is high, and the wealth and wealth are all appreciated. If you want a man or a woman who is smart, your wish will be fulfilled. ¡¯ These religious functions are all based on the original oath of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva.
Samantabhadra Bodhisattva also has two different names: "The True Bodhisattva of Great Peace and Happiness and Not Emptiness Samaya" and "Vajrasattva". The former means that this Bodhisattva has the fundamental vow of equality to bestow great benefits and great happiness on all living beings. The latter said that it has "immortal wisdom that can destroy all troubles, just like a diamond." The reason why it has these qualities is not only the manifestation of the power of this vow, but also due to the blessings of the Buddhas in the ten directions. According to esoteric scriptures, the World Honored One once summoned all the Buddhas from the sands of the Ganges River in the worlds of the ten directions. Illuminating Samantabhadra Bodhisattva with light, so that he can obtain the heart seal of all Buddhas and benefit all sentient beings.
There are two types of images of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva: the two-arm image and the twenty-arm image. According to the scriptures, his two arms are like a full-moon boy, wearing a crown of five Buddhas on his head, holding a vajra in his right hand and a summoning bell in his left hand. Sitting on a thousand-leaf treasure lotus flower, there is a white elephant king under the flower. The elephant king steps on the diamond wheel, and there are five thousand elephants under the wheel. ¡¯ The twenty-armed statue is golden in color and wears a crown of five wisdoms. There are ten hands on the left and right, each holding different instruments. He sits on a thousand-leaf lotus flower. There are four white elephants under the flower, which is different from the two-armed statue with five thousand elephants under the seat.

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, who has endless vows, spreads his body in the world, and teaches and transforms all living beings according to circumstances. According to historical records: Chinese Buddhist Master Gu Shide is the incarnation of the Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. Zen Master Fengqian of Guoqing Temple in Tiantai Mountain. One day while walking by Chicheng Road, I heard a child crying in the grass. I stepped forward to inspect and saw a child about ten years old. When asked for his name, he replied: "I have no family, no surname, and no name." ¡¯ Zen Master Fengqian felt that he had no one to rely on, so he took him back to Guoqing Temple and handed him over to the warehouse as a tea boy. Because it was picked up. The name is found.
Because Xi was so smart, he was promoted to the post of incense lamp holder in Zhaitang three years later, and was in charge of serving food and other chores. One day. Seeing no one around, he actually sat down and ate across from the enshrined holy statue, and scolded the holy statue for its small fruit, causing the buds to scorch and lose seeds. The incident was seen by Zen Master Zhiku Lingyi, who accused him of being disrespectful to the holy statues and maybe having a mental problem. He dismissed him from his post of incense lamp and sent him to the kitchen to wash dishes. He often put excess food in bamboo tubes and presented it to his close friend Han Shanzi.
"One time, the food, flowers and fruits in the temple were pecked by birds. When they found the food, they hit the mountain god statue in the temple with a stick, accusing it of not being able to protect the garland, neglecting its duty, and being in vain for the Samana's support. That night, all the monks in the temple dreamed that the mountain god said: "If you find something, beat me and scold me." ¡¯ Zen Master Lingyi went to inspect the statue of the mountain god and saw that there were marks on the statue of the mountain god that he had been beaten with a stick, and he realized that it had an extraordinary origin.
Shi De kept in contact with Han Shanzi from time to time, and he often taught Buddhism to people. But people didn't believe him, so they ridiculed, cursed, and even beat him. Hanshan said to Shide: "People in the world despise me, bully me, humiliate me, laugh at me, belittle me, despise me, hate me, and lie to me. How should I treat them?" ¡¯ Shide replied, ¡®The only way is to tolerate him, let him go, avoid him, be patient with him, respect him, and ignore him. In a few years, you can see him. ¡¯
Later, he was given the job of tending cattle. One day, during the half-moon uposatha in the temple, the lawyer was giving precepts to the monks in the hall. Shide drove the cattle to the Dharma hall and stood leaning against the door. He put his palms together and smiled and said, "You are so leisurely. We gathered together to make a portrait. How about this?" ¡¯ The monk who said the precepts blamed him for being disrespectful and angrily said, ¡®This servant is crazy and breaks my precepts. ¡¯ Seeing his anger rising, Shi De said a verse: ¡®Being free of anger is moral discipline; a pure mind is a renunciation; my nature is in harmony with you, and there is no difference in all dharmas. ¡¯ When Monk Jie saw Shi De¡¯s cheerful face, he was so angry that he came down to the church to beat Shi De and asked him to drive the cow out.
Shide said, "I won't drive the cows anymore. These cows are all governors and monks of the great virtues in their previous lives. They all have Dharma names. If you don't believe it, just watch me call them out." ¡¯ Then he said to the cattle: ¡®Hongjing, the lawyer from the past life, comes forward. ¡¯ Then a white cow made a sound and passed by, and said: ¡®The light from the seat of the previous life came out,¡¯ and a black cow came out in response to the sound. Shide called out again: "Come out Zhi Sui Jingben," and another cow came out in response. Finally, Shide took the cow and said, "In your previous life, you didn't keep the precepts. You had a human face but an animal heart. You are responsible for this. Who do you resent?" Although the Buddha's power is great, you have failed to live up to the Buddha's grace. ¡¯
From then on, the monks began to realize that Shi De was not an ordinary person in the world, and no longer regarded him as a madman. Later, Zen Master Fengqian, who was the incarnation of Amitabha Buddha, said to Prefect Qiu: What I found in Hanshan is Manjusri. The incarnation of Xian, the holy miracle was revealed, and he left Guoqing Temple with Han Shanzi, and ended up unknown.
The two great masters Manjusri and Samantabhadra, one is the mother of all Buddhas, the other is the eldest son of all Buddhas, and they are both Gong and Sun. They are always in front of the Buddhas in the ten directions, performing Buddhist services together, playing in the human world, and always together. During the Chunxi period, when Manjushri Bodhisattva was supposed to be the preceptor of Tusita Temple, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva also transformed into the daughter of the Zhou family, ranking seventh, and everyone called her Zhou Qiniang. He had various supernatural powers when he was born. When he grew up, he refused to marry. He begged in the market every day and often slept under the Puji Bridge at night. He was often with Jieyali. His wonderful behavior was unpredictable. People at the time were puzzled and laughed at her as a crazy woman. Later, a saint sang: "The preceptor Manjusri and Zhou Po Samantabhadra are carrying each other on their shoulders and will be passed down from generation to generation." ¡¯ Later generations came to know that it was the Bodhisattva who came to the world.
