Volume 1 Everyone has their own thoughts Chapter 200 Eyes of Fire

Previous page        Return to Catalog        Next page

During the half month that Wang Meng was refining the Tai Chi Pill, Master Xuanqing had already helped Wang Meng prepare the raw materials for the Hollow Pill. After Wang Meng finished refining the ten furnaces of Tai Chi Pill, he took a short rest for a day in order to prepare for this one.  I have carefully summarized my alchemy career over the past few months and learned lessons from it.

The next day, Wang Meng began to refine the Hollow Pill.

According to Master Xuanqing, the important role of the Hollow Pill is to promote the transformation of the "free soul" into the "mind", and its effect of strengthening the mental power is particularly obvious.

If he can successfully break through the realm of Xuan Gong's "heartbeat and small success", Wang Meng's mental strength will become stronger and his courage will become more complete and solid.

Because bile qi is deep in the liver, the liver opens the eyes.  Therefore, once Wang Meng successfully breaks through the realm of "heartbeat", a "Fire Eye" will naturally grow out of Wang Meng's "Free Soul".

This "eye of fire" is born above the soul, but it can see through the obstacles of the five elements and see the true face of things.

At that time, when he heard Master Xuanqing mention the word "Fire Eyes", Wang Meng was quite puzzled. He once asked in confusion: "Senior, why are the eyes that grow in the mind called 'Fire Eyes'?"

Master Xuanqing explained with a smile: "This is because the Five Elements Heart belongs to fire. The mind is so strong that the liver and courage overflow when it is too full, and the mind has to be opened. When the liver is opened, eyes will be formed. Therefore, Xuanqing  This 'mind's eye' is named 'Fire Eye' by the Gongxin method. This is because the five elements of the mind belong to fire."

Hearing this statement from Master Xuanqing, Wang Meng immediately understood why Sun Wukong had a pair of "fiery eyes and golden eyes".

This is not because Sun Wukong¡¯s monkey eyes were smoked by the fireworks of the Bagua furnace.

It is the reason why Sun Wukong¡¯s mental strength reached the limit after he completed the "Nine Transformations Mysterious Art", so that his "Fire Eye" ability to see through the obstacles of the five elements also reached the extreme.

Otherwise, you can let any monkey spirit, or any other goblin, go to Taishang Laojun's Bagua furnace to calcine it once, and see if they can grow "fiery eyes and golden eyes" due to the smoke.

Of course, Sun Wukong's "fiery eyes and golden eyes" do not refer to his pair of physical eyes, but to his "mind's eyes".

However, later on, the Xuan Gong technique was lost, and later generations did not know what it was. In the end, they mistook Sun Wukong's monkey eyes for "Fire Eyes and Golden Eyes".

The so-called "ability to see through obstacles of the Five Elements", according to Master Xuanqing, means that once a person who has mastered Xuan Gong uses the "Fire Eye", he can directly penetrate the Five Elements objects blocking his sight and see what is behind it.

For example, once Wang Meng reaches the level of "Minor Heartbeat" in Xuan Gong, Wang Meng's "free spirit" will automatically transform into "mind", and a "fire eye" will grow on his mind.

With this "Fire Eye", even if Wang Meng is sitting in a sealed cave, as long as he activates the "Fire Eye" to look outside, he can see the world outside the cave through the stone walls of the cave and the obstacles restricted by the formation.

??According to Master Xuanqing, a monk who has initially achieved the level of "Small Success in Heartbeat" of Xuan Gong can see up to 30 feet with his "Fire Eyes".

    That is 100 meters away.

In other words, within a range of 100 meters around Wang Meng, no matter whether it is thick rocks, boundless darkness, or the cover of formation restrictions, Wang Meng's "Fire Eye" can't be blocked from seeing through.

This is called "seeing through the five elements obstacles".

From a superficial perspective, the power of perspective of the "Fire Eye" seems to be quite similar to the power of inspiration.

In fact, there is a big difference between the two.

For example, once you are blocked by a formation restriction, the power of inspiration cannot penetrate it and see clearly what is outside the formation restriction.

But the "Fire Eye" can penetrate directly and see everything outside the formation.

For another example, with Wang Meng¡¯s current power of inspiration, he can scan a vast area within one kilometer, but he cannot see through rock formations that are fifty or sixty meters thick, let alone rock formations that are 100 meters behind.

"The "Fire Eye" can directly see through the rock formations 100 meters behind.

For another example, if you encounter some monks with high cultivation levels who use the "breath gathering technique", ordinary monks may not be able to detect their existence with the power of inspiration.

But under the perspective of the "eye of fire", they have no way to hide.

It can be seen that although the range of perspective of the "Fire Eye" is extremely narrow, its role cannot be replaced by inspiration.

What's more, with the growth of Xuan Gong cultivation, the distance of "Fire Eye" perspective will increase exponentially?

It can be seen that the attraction of cultivating the "Fire Eye" is very attractive to Wang Meng.?? is very huge.

" However, refining Hollow Pills is not as good as refining Demon Feeding Pills and Tai Chi Pills. There are as many as 20 pills in one batch.

There is only one hollow pill in a furnace.

During the time when Wang Meng was refining the Tai Chi Pill, Master Xuanqing had already dried the kongkongcao and other auxiliary medicines, developed them into powder, and divided them into three parts according to their standard portions. Wang Meng could make the pill directly after taking it.

It took Wang Meng more than three days to refine the first batch of hollow pills, but the result turned out to be a waste pill.

Wang Meng was not discouraged. He briefly summarized his experience and discussed it with Master Xuanqing before starting the second batch of hollow elixir refining. The result was still a waste elixir.

Seeing this, Master Xuanqing volunteered to refine the third hollow pill for Wang Meng, but Wang Meng declined.

To be honest, Wang Meng did feel a little uneasy at this time, but he was really not afraid of failing for the third time.

As a result, with Wang Meng's full concentration, the third batch of hollow pills was finally finished.

It is a genuine hollow pill!

With a genuine hollow pill, plus the four furnaces of eighty Tai Chi pills refined earlier, it was enough for Wang Meng to retreat and break through the barrier.

Next, Wang Meng began to retreat and rush through the pass.

At this time, Wang Meng has to use his "Qiankun Ruyi Dragon and Tiger Altar" magic weapon again.

You must know that the secret chamber made of peach sacred wood in the magic weapon "The Great Altar of the Dragon and the Tiger" is of great benefit to Wang Meng in practicing Xuan Gong.

Wang Meng released the altar magic weapon into the cave, and he entered the secret room, first swallowed a Tai Chi pill, and began to practice.

As Wang Meng already knows, practicing Xuan Gong is an extremely easy thing.

According to Master Xuanqing, "Everything is empty when the mind is wandering outside the world", "Because everything is empty, there are no fetters, no worries, no restraints, the heart is as high as the sky, and the audacity is as high as the sky.  Do whatever you want, be free and do whatever you want.¡±

But according to Wang Meng's own understanding, practicing Xuan Gong is what Buddhism says: "Form is emptiness, and emptiness is color. Color is not different from emptiness, and emptiness is not different from color. The same is true for feelings, thoughts, and consciousness." "Seeing that the five aggregates are all empty,  "To survive all hardships", "Relics, all dharmas are empty, neither born nor destroyed, not stained or pure, neither increasing nor decreasing. Therefore, there is no color in the air, no feelings, thoughts, actions, consciousness, no eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind.  Colorless sound, fragrance, touch, no vision, even the unconscious world, no ignorance, no end of ignorance, no old age and death, no end of old age and death. There is no accumulation of suffering to destroy the path, no wisdom and no gain. Because there is no gain."

As long as everything is empty, there will be a day of mystery.

Wang Meng silently recited the "Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra", his heart was full of joy, and he thought: "It turns out that the name Sun Wukong actually implies the method of practicing Xuan Gong! Sun Wukong can 'Wukong', so he can achieve the seventy-two transformations  .Now that I, Wang, can also ¡®Wukong¡¯, I believe God will not let me down!¡±
