"Rex, to be honest, Braddock is not a good place to film."

Although Braddock received an unusual welcome, people stood on the street and waved to their cars, and the street and visible places were cleaned, but in Paula Wagner's opinion, Braddock  Doc is still not a good choice.

It is not a modern metropolis, nor a pastoral town with beautiful scenery, but a declining industrial town in the metropolitan area. There are too many such towns, and it is difficult for Braddock to be the first choice.

Paula Wagner and her team of seven, in addition to Sally Field, Joseph Sargent, two other directors and producers, and two unexpected figures, the manager of Levi's advertising department, and Liv Tyler.

They took a brand new Mercedes-Benz minibus and, under the guidance of Wang Lei, visited Braddock's main neighborhoods such as Braddock Avenue, Rankin Bridge and Steel Valley, Edgar Steel Works and Monongahela  River piers and railroad bridges, as well as the Braddock Carnegie Library, an abandoned furniture store with a sprawling interior, and an unused cathedral.

Including Paula Wagner, several directors and producers were very interested in these places. Although they made many comments, they were basically full of praise.

Of course, they should be interested. Before that, Wang Lei had already sent them information and photos of these places by email. It was after seeing this information that they made a special trip.

But the final result was that Paula Wagner felt that Braddock was not a good choice for the film set.

Wang Lei looked at this influential Hollywood producer with a smile: "Oh, this sounds bad. Can I know the reason? We can improve it. We have libraries, steel plants and monasteries"

"Yes, Braddock is very distinctive, but we don't need these at the same time. Maybe this film needs a library, and another film needs a steel factory. We can't go all the way just for these.  Come here." Paula Wagner shrugged and said, she is a very easy-going middle-aged woman with an elegant and intellectual temperament.

Wang Lei nodded: "I understand, you mean that there are still too few elements that can make Braddock an image, except for what I just said."

As he spoke, Wang Lei opened an atlas: "But this is not a problem. The elements around Braddock are more abundant. There is a hill opposite the Edgar Steel Plant, and there is a larger one further ahead, as well as a forest.  Parks and golf courses, Pittsburgh is also a big city"

"Rex, you know, that's not enough. Directors are looking for that feeling, the feeling of reaching the extreme" Paula Wagner still smiled and shook her head.

"Oh, I see" Wang Lei patted his head.

"For example, the prosperity of New York, the cowboy style of a small Texas town, the sea scenery of Hawaii" Wang Lei shook his head helplessly. The most distinctive place in Braddock is the steel factory, but this kind of content is inconsistent with  There are still too few films with this style, so there won¡¯t be many opportunities for Braddock to be on the set.

That's what Paula Wagner meant. Seeing that Wang Lei understood, she smiled and patted Wang Lei's arm: "Young man, don't be sad. Although it can't be a popular studio, it can be used to shoot some genre films or select specific locations.  There are still many opportunities.¡±

"Thank you, I'm fine. In fact, that was my original plan. I didn't expect Braddock to make Cameron, Spielberg, Zemeckis and others flock here" Wang Lei shrugged with a smile.  shrugged.

¡°I just hope that one or two movies and TV shows can be filmed here every year, which would be great.¡±

"But today many big directors and producers suddenly came, and my ideas began to expand uncontrollably, expand again, and then get lost, haha!"

"Oh, I'm not a big director." Sally Field said with a smile, and everyone laughed.

"Rex, you don't have to be disappointed. Braddock does have a good filming location. If there is a need for the film, I think we will all choose this place."

"Thank you." Wang Lei looked at Sally Field and nodded seriously.

Paula Wagner and others did not stay in Braddock for a long time. In fact, the entire visit took less than two hours. They did not even stay in the town for lunch. Instead, they visited Edgar  After the steel plant, they drove directly to the Grand View Golf Course north of Braddock, where they would meet with some film producers, company executives and others, and play golf. Otherwise, they would not have made a special trip to Braddock.  go sightseeing.

Wang Lei was about to get off the train at the railway line. At this time, he had been talking quietly with the manager of Levi's Company in the back seat of the carriage.Joseph Sargent suddenly leaned out and said to Wang Lei with a smile: "Hey, Rex, I have two pieces of news. Which one are you going to hear first?"

"Of course it's good news." Wang Lei turned around and looked at him with a smile.

"The good news is that our agreement continues to be valid. I already have plans for my next film. It will be shot in Braddock and may start shooting next week." Joseph Sargent circled his thumb and index finger and said  made an ok gesture.

¡°Wow, that¡¯s really good news.¡± Wang Lei clapped his hands and said happily.

He knew that Joseph would not break his promise, and in the worst case, there would be a movie.  But he didn't expect that Joseph's new film would start shooting so soon, next week?  It¡¯s really resolute.

"So, what's the bad news?" Wang Lei smiled. He had a bad feeling. Could it be that there were only a few shots?  Or, it was simply a commercial that he and the Levi's guy kept muttering together.

Sargent smiled: "That's a commercial, about the pants you're wearing."

¡°Oh¡ª¡ª¡± Wang Lei could hardly help but lament, what impact would a commercial have?  Maybe ten seconds, or just five seconds?

Although he was disappointed, Wang Lei still forced a smile: "That's really bad, but it's also a start, isn't it?"

Joseph Sargent and the middle-aged man next to him looked at each other and couldn't help laughing together: "Yes, this is just the beginning, so Rex, you don't have to be disappointed at all."

Not disappointed?  How is that possible?  Wang Lei wanted to slap his own head in. He and the whole town had been looking forward to it, and they had made enthusiastic preparations, but in the end they only got a five-second commercial, one or two shots?  There's also a comment about being unfit for the set, and there's no worse outcome than that.

The Mercedes-Benz minibus stopped at the intersection next to the railway. Wang Lei stood up and greeted everyone: "OK, I won't be disappointedwell, I am a little disappointed, but I also see hope. I hope everyone will come again next time. Thank you."  ,thank you all."

Joseph looked at Wang Lei with a smile. When he came to the door and was about to get out of the car, he suddenly stopped him: "Rex, I'm talking about a commercial, but not an advertisement."
