"No, there is no need for a war. The Rifle Association has freedom of speech. They are very powerful, but as long as we unite, our power can be stronger." Barbara Burns waved her fist and said firmly,  Got a big round of applause.

In fact, she avoided the question raised by Wang Lei. The influence of the Rifle Association is too great. Without defeating them, it is impossible for the gun ban bill to be passed in Congress.

The speech did not officially end until half past five, but Barbara Burns did not leave immediately. Instead, she stood in front of the podium, answering questions or signing autographs for the enthusiastic audience.

Wang Lei and Barbara Merlo followed the exiting crowd and walked out. He suddenly felt someone pat his arm: "Hi, hello, are you Braddock's Rex?"

Wang Lei turned around and looked over. The person speaking was a middle-aged man in his thirties with a bit of baldness on his forehead. He had a smile on his face, very fake and professional.

Wang Lei nodded and extended his hand to the other party: "Yes, Rex King, from Braddock, nice to meet you."

"Oh - hello, my name is Aroni Saeki. I work in a consulting company and am studying for PMP at Carnegie Mellon. I plan to become an excellent campaign manager." Saeki smiled and shook Wang Lei's hand.  Shakes hands and introduces myself.

Wang Leido glanced at Saeki: "So, you are here to learn the experience of campaigning instead of listening to the speech?"

"No, no, no, I have experience running campaigns. I was a member of Thomas Murphy's campaign team and served in the Allegheny County branch of the Democratic Party. I was the director of Al Gore's Allegheny County campaign office.  "I think Gore will successfully win the primary and win the White House." Jaroni Saeki said enthusiastically.

Thomas Murphy is the current mayor of Pittsburgh and is serving his second term.

As they talked, they followed the flow of people out of the classroom and stood in the open space on the roadside, waiting for Barbara Burns.

"I think so too." Wang Lei said with a smile. Gore's image is positive and healthy, and he is significantly ahead of his opponents within and outside the party in the polls. He has great hope of winning the election.

The two chatted casually for a few more words, and Saeki suddenly said seriously: "Rex, I must say, you have a bright future, but as a politician, you must pay attention to your remarks."

"I mean, even if you support gun bans, you shouldn't say it in public, as it will be detrimental to you."

Wang Lei¡¯s feelings towards Saeki cannot be said to be good. He is like a politician, but it cannot be said that he is disgusted. After all, he is very enthusiastic.  He smiled and said: "Did I say something? In fact, I am eager to own a rifle, but every time we hear about a school shooting, my classmates and I will be very worried whether someone will have a gun.  Suddenly broke into our campus"

    "You know, that's terrible."

"Yes, I feel very sad about this too, but it was just an accident. Not everyone will kill people with a gun." Aroni Saeki shook his head and said in a sad tone.

"Of course, everyone will have their own opinion on whether guns should be banned, and it will be difficult to convince the other party."

Jaroni Saeki was obviously unwilling to debate this issue with Wang Lei. He quickly changed the topic: "I just want to remind you that as a political figure, you must be careful about topics that may affect your political prospects.  Be cautious about expressing your stance, otherwise, no matter how many years have passed, someone will dig up your past and use it to attack you."

"Thank you, but I never worry about others knowing my position." Wang Lei said with a smile.

"Aha, I know, the world of selflessness is broad." Saeki touched his nose awkwardly: "But our enemies will not have any scruples, so sometimes we have to pay attention to some methods."

"You're right, I think I'll pay attention." Wang Lei had to admit that Saeki was right, this was really a worse topic.

Yaroni seemed to realize this, he smiled and clapped his hands: "Politics is such a boring topic, let's not talk about it anymore, Rex, you like guns, then let's make an appointment to go hunting together.  How about it?"

Wang Lei's heart was pounding, but he still shook his head and said, "This is a good idea, but I'm afraid I don't have time. You know, I have to go to school and deal with things in the town."

"That's such a pity." Yaroni shrugged, not sure whether he was really sorry or secretly relieved.

At this time, Barbara Burns finally walked out of the classroom. She was accompanied by several assistants and enthusiastic listeners. Barbara Merlo stepped forward to say hello. The two Barbaras were very enthusiastic.  hugged each other, and then? Came over.

"Oh, hello, the famous Rex, I very much support your approach. The government should be as streamlined as possible, not the other way around." Barbara Burns smiled and greeted Wang Lei, and came very enthusiastically  Got a face-to-face gift.

Wang Lei expressed his gratitude to Burns for his support. He also smiled and said: "I also support your view on banning guns. We cannot just watch the tragedy happen and remain indifferent. Of course, I am a gun lover.  I think we can find a way to protect the rights of gun owners while reducing gun violence."

¡°I hope so, that¡¯s what I think too.¡± Barbara Burns said with a smile, and then said hello to Aroni Saeki. They already knew each other.

"Those son-of-a-bitch lobbyists and the Republican Party." Barbara Melo said from the sidelines.

Barbara Burns then introduced her assistant to Wang Lei, and then they went to a nearby restaurant together, each ordered a fast food, and after eating, they planned to go to the Tuesday Music Club to participate in the evening fundraising concert.

"Rex, are you a member of the Democratic Party?" Barbara Burns took a sip of soup and asked casually.

Wang Lei shook his head: "Not yet, but I am ready to join."

¡°Excellent, your choice is right. The Democratic Party is more inclusive and more responsible to the people. You can register with Braddock¡¯s Democratic Party branch and participate in more of our events in Pittsburgh. Your political future is bright.  " Burns said with a smile.

Wang Lei nodded, picked up a meatball with a fork, put it into his mouth, and after eating it, he said: "I will. I have not participated in any party activities. Should I buy a ticket?"  Tickets, or a donation to Al Gore?¡±

"We have free admission tickets. The event calls on everyone to donate at least 25 US dollars to Gore, but it is not mandatory. You don't have to donate if you don't have income yet." Jaroni Saeki ate a piece of potato.  He shook his head and said.

"I think I have to make some money as soon as possible!" Wang Lei shrugged. He was indeed short of money, but it cost money to participate in political activities. He now began to understand those disadvantaged groups. It is indeed difficult for them to participate in politics.  Make your own voice heard.

Yaroni made another suggestion: "Rex, you have a good reputation in Pittsburgh. I think you can support Gore's election and help him raise funds. Maybe it will have miraculous results."

"Oh, I don't think I have that ability yet." Wang Lei shook his head and did not agree. He did not want to be tied to the Democratic Party and Al Gore so quickly. He did not know the other candidates well.

After dinner, it was still some time before eight o'clock, so everyone decided to rush to the club in advance to meet the event organizer. There were already people queuing outside the club. Wang Lei followed Barbara Burns and the others and did not go through the main entrance.  Instead, he walked in through the back door.
