Chapter 1,349 The Mysterious Ark of the Covenant

History often hides many secrets, and in many cases, secrets are equal to wealth

Not only the wealth that Germany robbed from Europe, but also the wealth that Japan robbed from China during its invasion of China. An ancient civilization with thousands of years of history. The wealth accumulated over many generations includes gold, silver, pearls, jade, gems, and various types of cultural relics.  These are hard currencies that will never depreciate, and can even be compared to the gross national product of the entire country.

In the original time and space, there was once a "Golden Warrior" that revealed some of the secrets. However, in this time and space, the Chinese Federation took back these wealth from the Japanese and used them for its own reconstruction and development.     It even includes a lot of wealth that Japan looted from Southeast Asia, and this amount of money is extremely huge, far beyond the imagination of ordinary people.

It¡¯s a pity that most people¡¯s education, experience and vision limit them to a very small framework, making it difficult to access these secret information

In fact, the reason why all modern countries are keen on archeology and interpretation of ancient historical documents is not just for cultural considerations, but more driven by practical interests."

For example, in the past, China only regarded Western religious classics such as the Bible as reading materials for faith. However, now, both the Ancient Literature Society and the Chinese Federation are systematically understanding and analyzing ancient documents such as the Bible and looking for valuable information.  and information

Just as everyone is keen to find the wealth left by Germany and Japan during World War II, there is also unparalleled wealth in the Bible

Even though the Chinese people always have a vague rejection of the Bible due to their national stance and personal emotions, if you read it carefully, you will find that the part that praises the Bible without religious fanaticism is actually a scientific work

Yes, the Bible is a scientific work, and its content has no conflict with modern science at all, at least in the field of knowledge that humans have discovered.

The remaining knowledge is the part that humans cannot yet understand or prove. This shows the scientific research value of this book.

Among them, the most interesting thing is that the contents of the ¡®Ark of the Covenant¡¯ often trigger debates in the scientific and theological circles, and have aroused the curiosity and exploration of countless people.

The Jewish Ark of the Covenant, the Ark of the Covenant and sacrifices are directly related. The Ark of the Covenant is a sacred object of the ancient Israelite nation. "Covenant" refers to the contract between God and the Israelites, and the Ark of the Covenant is where the covenant between God and the Israelites is placed  contract cabinet

This covenant is the two tablets of the Ten Commandments that the prophet Moses received from God on Mount Sinai.

What is the relationship between the Ark of the Covenant and the priests?

The Ark of the Covenant has a direct relationship with the priests. It must not be turned into an indirect relationship. If human beings do not carry the Ark of the Covenant themselves but use other methods to transport the Ark of the Covenant. According to the world, it seems that they can transport the Ark of the Covenant. But if they touch the cross, it will be immediately obvious.

"Brothers and sisters, today in front of God, let us who have been saved by grace rise up and fulfill our obligations and rights as the firstborn sons, and also fulfill our responsibilities as priests and Levites. Let us not pay attention to methods in the future. It does not mean that methods cannot  Useful, but methods are of no use when we come to the Ark of the Covenant! God wants people, and we must put ourselves in and carry the Ark on our shoulders so that the testimony can be lifted up and carried to Zion  Mountain, make our Lord king and may the Lord be gracious to us.¡±

Regarding the size, style and decoration of the Ark of the Covenant, there are very detailed records in the Bible Book of Exodus. In the Book of Exodus it is written: "They are to make an Ark of acacia wood, one hundred and ten centimeters long and sixty centimeters wide.  Six centimeters and sixty-six centimeters high. You need to cover the cabinet with pure gold, covering both the inside and the outside. The top is also surrounded by a gold border. You need to cast four gold rings and set them above the four legs of the cabinet. Two rings on this side.  In the two rings on the other side, make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. Thread the poles into the rings on both sides of the ark. The poles used to carry the ark must remain in the rings. Do not take out the tablets of the oracles that I have given you.  , you have to put it in the cabinet.¡±

¡°You shall make a lid of pure gold, one hundred and ten centimeters long and sixty-six centimeters wide. Then hammer out two cherubim images of gold and place them on the lid, one cherubim on one end and one cherubim on the other end.  One of the cherubim shall be placed on each end of the lid. The two wings of the cherubim shall be spread upward so that the wings of the cherubim shall cover the lid of the ark, with their faces facing each other. The cherubim shall have their faces toward the ark.  Put the lid of the ark on the top of the ark and place the tablets of the Oracles that I have given you. You are to put them in the ark and I will appear to you there and give my command from the lid of the ark between the two cherubim that are on the ark.  I tell you all the things you should preach to the Israelites.¡±

Someone has peeked through the door of the Holy of Holies and found that clouds and mist often accumulate above the Ark of the Covenant. There is also an object called the mercy seat. It is said that it will be placed on the Ark of the Covenant during the ceremony of the Day of Atonement.

When IsraelWhen people wandered in the wilderness, the Ark of the Covenant remained in the Holy of Holies of the Mobile Tabernacle until King Solomon built the temple in Jerusalem.

The Ark of the Covenant is a sacred object of the Israelites, symbolizing the presence of Jehovah. According to the Law of Moses, only Levites as priests can carry the Ark of the Covenant, but no one is allowed to touch the Ark of the Covenant. According to the Bible,  Uzzah violated God's law while transporting the Ark of the Covenant and touched the Ark without authorization and was executed.

The knowledge in this must be analyzed in detail after reading about Christianity, Catholicism and Judaism. The amount of religious knowledge is quite large, and it is not as simple as most people think.

A certain dynasty in a certain time and space denounced this kind of knowledge as feudal ignorance, and I don¡¯t know who it is. Everyone has seen the disadvantages of closing the country in isolation, and closing down the exploration and research of a certain field is not a kind of self-isolation.  ?

In the days of the prophet Samuel, what happened to Shiloh greatly affected the religious sentiments of the Israelites. They thought that the sacred ark could save them from being defeated by the Philistines.

So they took the ark out of the Holy of Holies of the tabernacle at Shiloh, and the lawless priests, the two sons of Eli the high priest, brought the ark to the battlefield.

But the ark did not protect them from the consequences of their wanton violation of Jehovah¡¯s law.

Unfortunately, the Ark of the Covenant fell into the hands of the pagan Philistines, and Eli¡¯s two priestly sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were killed on the battlefield.

When the fat high priest Eli learned the unfortunate news, he fainted and broke his neck bone and died. The Israelites continued to be oppressed by the Philistines.

Although the idolatrous Philistines later sent the Ark back because of the disasters they suffered, the sacred Ark, which symbolized the presence of Jehovah, never returned to the sacred tabernacle in Shiloh.

About 70 years later, David attempted to transport the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem. The Ark was placed on an ox cart and Uzzah and his brothers led the way.

The Bible says: ¡°When they arrived at the threshing gate of Nakham, the oxen almost overturned the cart. Uzzah stretched out his hand and grabbed the ark of God. The Lord was angry with Uzzah. God struck Uzzah because of his disrespectful behavior, and he died on the spot in the presence of God.  "Beside the Ark of the Covenant"

A few months later, David carried the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem in the manner designated by God. The Levitical Kohathites carried the Ark to Jerusalem. This time, the journey went smoothly.

How did the Ark of the Covenant disappear? The Lord warned through Jeremiah that He would treat Jerusalem as He treated Shiloh, which had once been so honored. So He allowed the Babylonians to destroy Jerusalem in 607 B.C. and even the one built by King Solomon.  The temple, which housed the Ark of the Covenant, was also razed to the ground

The Ark itself disappeared. After the disaster struck Shiloh, the Philistines allowed the Israelites to stay there. However, after the Babylonians destroyed Jerusalem and its temple, they exiled most of the remaining Jews to distant Babylon.

The few remaining Jews finally panicked and fled to Egypt, leaving the entire Judah area uninhabited.

The Bible does not explain the whereabouts of the Ark of the Covenant. It was probably destroyed after the Babylonians captured Jerusalem. However, Josephus, a Jewish historian in the 1st century AD, believed that the Ark of the Covenant was destroyed along with the temple when the Roman Empire destroyed Jerusalem.

There is a legend that someone smuggled the Ark out of Jerusalem. It is said that it is now stored in St. Mary's Church in Aksum, Ethiopia.

The Discovery Channel once sent a film team to Ethiopia to track down the missing Ark of the Covenant. However, the local priests have always refused to let the film crew watch it. Therefore, whether the Ark of the Covenant still exists is still a mystery to this day.

It is said that the person who stole the Ark of the Covenant was Minirik, the illegitimate son of Solomon and the Queen of Sheba in the south. When Queen of Sheba visited Solomon, Solomon made the Queen of Sheba thirsty at night with spicy food, so she drank it by mistake and placed it on the table.  of water

In the name of violating the rules, Solomon punished the Queen of Sheba for sleeping with him. Later, the son born to the Queen of Sheba was Menelik. Menelik grew up and studied in the land of Israel. He was very familiar with the Levites who guarded the Ark of the Covenant.

When King Solomon was old, he and several priests stole the Ark of the Covenant and returned to his mother's country. This statement is still there today. This statement is not recorded in the Bible.

The Church of Santa Maria on Mount Zion in Axum is actually a monastery, consisting of three churches. As soon as you enter the door, the first thing that catches your eye is the Church of Santa Maria on Mount Zion.

Facing this church, adjacent to this church on the right is the Holy Martyrdom Chapel, which houses the Ark of the Covenant. On the far right is the old church of Santa Maria of Mount Zion, a slightly older stone building with obvious  religious style

In the first half of the 4th century AD, a Greek Christian named Flumentius introduced Christianity to Axum. He later became the first master of the Kingdom of Axum.??

In 331 AD, King Aizana of Aksum converted to Christianity and established Christianity as the state religion. The coins excavated from Aksum recorded the process of his conversion to Christianity: early coins had the pattern of the crescent and full moon;  A cross is printed on the coins

Christianity began to spread only among the ruling class. In the second half of the 5th century AD, the "Nine Saints" from Syria came to Ethiopia to preach.

With the assistance of local monks, these monks translated the Greek Bible into Giz language and built churches and monasteries. As a result, Christianity spread to all walks of life in the Kingdom of Axum.

In Ethiopia, the inner sanctum of all Orthodox churches enshrines "Tabot", a replica of the Ark of the Covenant. What people go to church to pay homage to is not the church itself, but the "Tabot" in the church.

Without "Tabot", the church is just an empty shell, a building without life and soul.

The priest who presided over the Church of Santa Maria on Mount Zion in the past held the title of Nebozeid, which was awarded by the Emperor of Ethiopia. He was not responsible to the bishop but directly to the emperor. Neboreid was equivalent to a prince. He was not only responsible for the affairs of the monastery, but also for  Administration of the city of Aksum and its affiliated villages and towns

After the revolution of 1974, Aksum separated church and state, and the power to confer the title of Nebzeid was transferred to the imam. The title became purely religious in nature, and the administrative affairs of Aksum city were managed by the mayor.

In the future, the religious conference will make a special decision to upgrade Aksum to an archdiocese, and Aksum will also become the seat of the first archbishop of Ethiopia. The Archbishop of Aksum will become the Patriarch of Ethiopia.

The Church of Santa Maria on Mount Zion has the title of "Head of Monasteries". It is the highest-level church in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. It is also the cemetery of Ethiopian Emperor Yohanes IV and his descendants.

Let¡¯s talk about a concept, what is a priest?

A priest is someone who serves God

If you ask the priest, "What is your profession?"

He would say, ¡°My profession is to serve God.¡±

"Today I hope that brothers and sisters will be clear about this matter. Every one of us who has been saved by grace is the firstborn. We are all priests. This is our right and our obligation. We live on earth to serve God and live as priests.  There is no other purpose on earth than to serve.¡±

"We who belong to God must realize that serving God is our bounden duty. How to serve God and in what way to serve God are another question. We can be housewives, employees, teachers, doctors, etc.  While working, we also perform the duties of priests. The English Bible makes it very clear that our vocation is to be priests and to serve God. Our sideline is to do those bits and pieces.¡±

The power of faith can be seen. In a certain period of a certain country that was extremely money-worshipping, this was unimaginable. As a human being, we always need faith and ideas. Although religion makes people blind, it at least persuades people to do good.

But today, religion is more of a restraint than a spiritual sustenance. Therefore, the Ancient Literature Society tries its best to prohibit the spread of similar religions in China, and instead promotes a traditional Chinese cultural philosophy and morality.

Tao is the foundation, virtue is the function

? Exploring the universe is seeking Tao, and being beneficial to people is practicing virtue, thus deriving some traditional ideologies and restoring the etiquette, order and benevolence of China, instead of restricting and flogging with dogma and precepts

Under the current productivity conditions, what the world needs is the whistle of soul and wisdom, not religious brainwashing, even if this brainwashing is to persuade people to do good.

But as knowledge itself, theology and religion are of great significance to human beings and are worth studying

Based on the content of the Bible, we can know that the Ark of the Covenant was empty and was used to hold things.

The Bible records that the Ark of the Covenant contained two tablets inscribed with the Ten Commandments. God asked Moses to go up the mountain to receive the tablets, and God himself wrote them with his fingers on the two stone tablets.

But when Moses received the tablets of the law, the Israelites violated the Ten Commandments at the foot of the mountain. They made a golden calf to worship. The first of the Ten Commandments says: You shall have no other gods before me; the second says: You shall not  What image should be made to worship? The third article says: You shall not take the name of the Lord in vain; but they have broken the commandment!

When Moses came down from the mountain and saw this situation, he broke the tablets of the law into pieces.

    duyidu.

    Read it

¡°This shows us that God¡¯s law has not yet come to His people, but they have already broken it! Therefore, no one can keep the law, no one can do good, not even one of us. We all turn to our own way, and no one can rely on it.  Justification by keeping the law¡±

This is what happened to Christ for thousands of years. The Lament of the Disciples

"Although we are not Israelites and we have not received the tablets of the law, Romans says that the law of God is written in our hearts, and we have a heart to know right and wrong. But we have broken the tablets of the law that are written in our hearts. So  No one can be justified by the works of the law. Everyone in the world has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Therefore, they are all under God¡¯s judgment and have been condemned! We are really people without hope.¡±

How can God¡¯s law be preserved?  God has a way. God said to Moses: Make two tablets and come back to the mountain. I will write the Ten Faithful Tablets on the stone tablets with my fingers. Moses received the tablets for the second time and placed them in the Ark of the Covenant.  Saved"

"How can the law of God be preserved? God has a way. God said to Moses: Make two tablets of the law and come back to the mountain. I will write the ten truths on the stone tablets with my finger. Moses received the tablets for the second time.  Put it in the ark of the covenant so that the tablets of the law are preserved.¡±

Arthur Leonard Andrew, a man who had worked as a furniture maker in his youth, built a replica of the Ark of the Covenant exactly as detailed in the Bible. He and others came to the conclusion that the design of the Ark of the Covenant was  , essentially turning it into a giant capacitor capable of storing electrical energy

"Gold is one of the best conductors of electricity, and wood is the best insulator,"

Later, Andrew expressed his opinion in the British "Weekly Mail": If the Israelis had begun to make primitive batteries, they could not have a better design than the Ark of the Covenant.

The next series of tests proved that Andrew¡¯s Ark of the Covenant could accumulate and release electric charges.

Is the Ark of the Covenant really some form of primitive capacitor?  (To be continued
