On December 16, 1502 in the Continental Calendar, the War of the Roses reached a turning point.

On the afternoon of the 16th, a Lanling army with only a few hundred men launched a surprise attack on Cole City occupied by the Sunset Empire. The headquarters of the 3rd Division of the Sunset Empire was annihilated. Major General Sidno, the commander of the division, was killed in the battle. More than 800 Sunset defenders were killed.  More than 400 people were captured.

On the evening of the 16th, the Venus Bridge, the transportation chokepoint from the Sunset Empire to the Lanling Principality, was destroyed, and more than a hundred carts of military rations stored in the military camp on the bridge were burned.

On the 17th, the 2nd Regiment of the 3rd Division was ordered to rush to the aid of Cole City. It was attacked midway and the entire army was destroyed. Of more than 3,000 officers and soldiers, no one survived.

Three beautiful attacks were like three loud slaps in the face, which stunned the arrogant Sunset Empire army and made them unable to recover for a while.  Although not many Sunset Empire troops were eliminated in these three battles, the strong confidence and superb command skills displayed by the commander of the Lanling Army made the War of the Roses once again attract the attention of the world.

The two armies that participated in these three battles, the Divine Eagle Mercenary Regiment and the Lanling Tashan Independent Regiment, came into people's sight and attracted great attention from all parties.  The War of the Roses, which was already without any suspense, is developing in an unpredictable direction because of their emergence.  Out of sympathy for the underdog, many people rejoiced and looked forward to the next performance of these two armies.

This sentiment is particularly obvious in the Lanling Principality and Tianmeng Federation.

When Link¡¯s battle report was delivered to Aris, the latter was overjoyed.  Out of caution, he did not tell his father the news.  A few days later, news of the Lanling front reached Patna city.  After confirming that the battle report in his hand was correct, Aris quickly found his father.

"Father, Link has won, and my first step of the plan was successful."

"I know." Duke Charlton smiled slightly, "Every big and small newspaper in Patna City has published this news. He has done a good job. Now everyone in Patna City is guessing who is the employer of the Condor Mercenary Group.  who!"

His father¡¯s approval made Aris feel very comfortable: ¡°I have a detailed battle report here, please take a look.¡±

Charlton took the battle report, walked to the desk and put on his glasses.  Looked at it carefully.

????????????????????????????????????? He put down the battle report, put his hands behind his hands and pondered for a moment, then said slowly: "It seems that this condor mercenary group does have some skills. And it actually has a high-level magician! You must be able to win over it. Don't let it go easily. We have money.  No, what we lack is this kind of fresh blood."

    "Yes, father!" Aris responded respectfully.

"Under a heavy reward, there must be a brave man. Link's money was well spent. Moreover, he made a good move to recruit Lanling's army. You tell him, just go ahead and do it without worrying about the money and food."  We can solve all problems.¡±

    "yes!"

"Also, no matter how this war ends, it won't last long. You tell him that he must try to rescue the princess. Once the princess is rescued, the information that should be disclosed can be revealed!"

"My child understands." Aris was secretly happy.  Once the princess is rescued, it will be time for him to become famous as his employer. At that time, as the behind-the-scenes commander who reversed the situation in Lanling, the entire Tianmeng Federation will look at him with admiration.

"This teacup is said to be an antique from the glorious period. Luo Lin, do you think it looks like it?" In the garden of the Heads of State, Robert picked up the teacup next to him, took a sip of tea, and said with a smile.

Luo Lin, who stood beside him like a sword, nodded.  It was his principle that he would never sit down in front of his superiors.

"I actually don't know whether it is. But I know another thing," Robert looked into the distance and said leisurely: "This antique cost at least two or three people's lives. Money is so harmful, not to mention power.  Woolen cloth?"

Luo Lin did not answer.  He could guess what the F¨¹hrer would say next.

"Have you read the newspapers in the past two days?" Robert asked.

"I saw it. It was very interesting." Luo Lin replied expressionlessly.

"Oh, you think so too?" Robert asked in surprise, "What's so interesting about it?"

"For some people with ulterior motives, the Lanling war is also a priceless teacup worth taking the risk." Luo Lin said coldly.

"Tea cup? It's not the tea cup, it's the position! Alas, I've been sitting in this position for too long. Maybe it's a good thing to change someone! Okay, you go!" Robert said lightly.

"My subordinates, please retire." Luo Lin turned around and strode away.

After returning to the Supervision Office, he immediately summoned the leader of the shadows, Cherno.

"Immediately start collecting all the information about the Condor Mercenary Group, and at the same time send people to sneak into the Lanling Principality to closely monitor every move of the Condor Mercenary Group."

"Yes, Lord Commander!" Cheno took the order and left.

In the palace of the Lord of Cole City, Link was lying on the main seat in the hall, holding an ice fruit and gnawing wildly.

"It's so comfortable, the birds of the Sunset Empire really know how to enjoy it!" After taking a few bites and accurately throwing the core into the pen holder on the table, he let out a contented sigh.

"The two people who have sat in this position are dead, and you actually sit so securely?" Herman looked at him and said angrily.  This guy's determination to remain calm despite a mountain collapse is indeed worth learning.

After Link returned to Cole City, Herman reported to him in detail what happened on the battlefield.  What about martial arts, martial arts, dark magic, and a series of accidents that made Link frown.

After listening, he only asked one question: "Have those men in black seen you?"

After receiving Herman¡¯s negative answer, Link¡¯s mood seemed to improve.

"Damn it, you didn't tell me earlier!" Link suddenly stood up, "I don't want to follow in their footsteps!"

"If you want to follow in their footsteps, you can only commit suicide." Herman rolled his eyes at him.

"Don't look at me with such charming eyes, I have limited concentration." Link's whole body trembled.  He has always felt that Herman's charm, if placed on a woman, would definitely be stunning to a country.

"Boss, can we talk about serious business? It's time to get started. Are you still in the mood to chat?" After spending a long time with Link, Herman gradually became thicker.

"Is it burning? Why don't I feel it? Tell me how to burn it?" Link looked at him with a smile on his face.

"First, the force behind Duis is currently showing up, including Wu Zong martial artists, and they appear in groups. Hidden in the dark, I don't know how many more powerful ones are there. We can't deal with these people, maybe  It will bring disaster to the Condor. If you ask Yuna, you will have a head-on conflict with Duis. How to overcome this hurdle?" Herman analyzed.

"Since the people behind Duis were hiding in the dark, they must have some scruples and did not want to expose their identities. A few masters accidentally appeared in Cole City, and they were all killed with ruthless hands. The meaning of the warning was very strong! So.  I think we can just catch Duis and beat him up. Don't worry about those people." Link replied.

Herman thought for a moment and smiled bitterly: "What you said makes some sense. Okay, let me talk about the second point. Those men in black. The enemy is unknown, and among them are both martial saints and dark magicians.  You don¡¯t care about the potential w¨¥ixi¨¦?¡±

"What do I care about him?" Link said with a smile, "I am naturally close to dark things. I also want to thank them for their help the next time I see them! So, I  Consider them your friends.¡±

"Close?" Herman was speechless: "I just feel terrible. The power these men in black show at will is already top-notch in the mainland. With just one little finger, they can strangle your condor to death several times. Still.  You regard them as friends, if you want to hug them, they might kick you to pieces!"

Link sighed: "My chief of staff, your biggest flaw is that you think about everything too carefully and think too much, which actually kills your extraordinary wisdom. Do you remember me asking you, have they ever seen you?  One look?"

"Of course I remember. My answer is: no." Herman nodded.

Link slapped his thigh suddenly: "Then it's over! They don't even bother to look at you, and they are so full that they come to trouble you? This is enough to show that what they want to do is to come to Lanling with us  There is no conflict in purpose at all, so there is no need to worry at all. I can even boldly infer that Duis and the forces behind him went to Lanling definitely not for Yuna, or to capture some strong men to train dead soldiers. They must have other intentions.  . And these men in black must know the inside story and are here specifically to cause destruction."

"You can analyze so many things from one detail. How does your head grow?" Herman said with emotion.  Link successfully convinced him and dispelled his concerns.

"This is called knowing autumn with one leaf." Link said with a proud smile.

    "A leaf knows autumn?"

¡°It means that when you see a yellow leaf falling in the yard, you know that autumn has arrived.¡±

"It's autumn when September enters. You don't need to look at the fallen leaves to know it!" Herman said curiously.

Link was speechless.  After a long time, he muttered depressedly: "Yes! People in ancient times were so damn stupid"

"Let's get down to business, there is another question." Herman added, "When dark magic appears, the Divine Court must send someone to investigate, and we can't get away from it. How to deal with this matter?"

"Shenting?" Link's brows couldn't help but frown, "We really can't afford to offend these people.  If they come to our door, we must cooperate with them in the investigation in the best possible manner.  If you can avoid offending them, don¡¯t offend them!  "

    "good."

"However, remember to muddy the water. The water in Lanling is not that deep. I want to see what big fish is hidden under the water!" Link said with a smile.

    "How?" Herman asked.

"How can you still ask me this question?" Link said disdainfully.

"Who am I going to ask if I don't ask you?" Herman scolded with a smile, "From the moment we met at Canglan Grand Canyon, I thought you were the biggest bad person in the world."

"Thank you for the compliment! You can sell those two forces directly and lure the people from Shenting to play a cat and mouse game with them. I have been wondering why those guys are so powerful and hide in the dark. What are they afraid of?  What?" Link asked.

"You mean, they are all afraid of the Divine Court?" Herman suddenly understood.

"Of course. The Divine Court is the incarnation of light, and it is perfect to restrain these shady guys." Link smiled and nodded, "In the future, I must find a fucking opportunity and let the Pope give me a canonization or something.  !¡±

"Huh?" Herman looked at him in surprise, "Why?"

"Because with this halo, I can do bad things openly! How happy that kind of life would be!" Link sighed.

"I now believe why you have a natural affinity with darkness. You are not a fucking good person at all!" Herman spat.

"Grandma, you can't blame me for this. It's all forced by this evil society!" Link muttered, "It's so easy for me to have a chance to be a hero and save the beauty. People from all walks of life come out to cause trouble. Who do I provoke?"  In this case, I will turn into a thorn and stab everyone in the asshole hard to see who has a good life!"

"Don't you mind the smell?" Herman sighed.

"Boss, Harry is back. According to him, something big seems to have happened during the battle in Wula Mountain!" Robin hurried in and said breathlessly.  (To be continued.)
