"No matter what problem you have, you can deal with it. But there is another question. Assuming these are true, since Ye Fan is already on the horse, why doesn't he ride the horse directly to the reef? He is the same there  You can ride the horse over and tie it up.¡±

"Yes, Director, I think the lifting ring was his original plan. But I observed the sea cliffs in that area today and noticed that the location I found is one kilometer away from Pingtie, and the road is very far away from the edge of the sea cliffs.  Close, looking down at the beach on the road to see clearly. When they thought about this plan, they may have thought that a person riding a horse alone on the unprotected beach looked a bit suspicious. So Ye Fan  Hiding the horse where the barrier blocking the view ends, and swimming the rest of the way, thinking this will draw less attention to others.¡±

"Yes, this does make some sense. But it's all based on the time it took Ye Fan to pass the checkpoint. We have to check this. You have to understand, I'm not saying that you haven't considered it carefully. In fact, I like to hear it.  To your own unique insights and opinions; but we cannot make any inferences without factual basis."

"No, Director, it certainly won't be. But Director, if it's not Mark, it doesn't mean there's no one else doing the same thing."

"What is there no one else?"

    "Complicit, Director."

    "You're starting again."

    "Yes, Director."

"Okay, then go check it out and see what results you can get."

    "Okay, Director."

When the police officer left, the chief touched his chin while lost in thought.  This bothered him greatly.  Things started to get ugly when the city bureau chief pressed him that morning about the status of the case.  The city bureau chief is an academic and feels that this case has caused too much trouble.  In his opinion, this couldn't be more obvious. The dirty foreign gigolo must have cut his own throat. This is something even a sleeping dog can figure out.  The director really hoped to put this case down, but he believed from the bottom of his heart that this case must not be that simple.  There was no peace in his mind, ever.  There were too many strange things: razors, gloves, Jiang Tiansheng's incomprehensible whereabouts, Lao Bai's silence, horseshoes, rings, Li Feng's lies on the tide, and even stranger things, those coded letters and mysteries  The picture of Annina¡ªperhaps there is some trivial explanation for all these things taken apart, but together they are different; yes, taken together they are different.  He reported these suspicions to the city bureau chief, who reluctantly allowed them to continue the investigation, but was obviously unhappy.

He was wondering what Gu Pengfei was doing now.  I heard that Gu Pengfei and Xia Xiang were going to the Imperial Capital together. Their trip would only push the case further into confusion.  The Li Feng incident is also disturbing.  According to reports, Li Feng is heading to the imperial capital.  It would be a difficult task for the Imperial City Police to monitor him, not to mention that the director could not find a good reason to monitor him yet.  After all, what did Li Feng do?  He was unlikable, and he made it sound like the tide was low when it was actually low - but otherwise he seemed to be telling the truth.  The chief realized that the police officers in the six districts were beginning to get tired of him because of these trivial matters.

He dismissed the case from his mind, turned to a large number of ordinary cases about thieves, and spent the evening like this.  But after dinner, he found that questions about Link began to invade his mind again.  Gu Pengfei reported the results of a routine investigation into Ye Fan.  There is only one thing that is interesting, but when it is linked to the coded letter, it seems to have some importance.  He was wondering when the original copies of the letters found on Link would come out. He was very troubled, lost his temper with his wife, stepped on his cat, and finally decided to go to the hotel to meet Xia Xiang.  .

Xia wanted to go out. After some inquiries, the director went to the landlord.  There he not only found Xia Xiang, but also met Sheriff Gu Pengfei. They and Zhiqiu were sitting on the sofa in the living room, where Link once lived.  The three of them seemed to be playing a crossword contest, with books thrown everywhere. Zhiqiu held a dictionary in his hands and read out the words to his companions.

"Hello, Director!" Xia Xiang shouted, "Come here! Our president will be very happy to see you. We are investigating."

"Really, Xia Xiang? We are also doing this - at least, there is a young police officer who has been struggling."

He told the story, happy to tell it to others.  Gu Pengfei muttered.  Xia Xiang took out a map and a piece of paper and began to draw distances and events.  They discussed it and discussed it again. The speed of the horse's running - Xia Xiang felt that he underestimated the speed of the horse.  He would go and borrow the horse for a test.

    Zhiqiu said nothing.

"What do you think?" Xia Xiang asked him suddenly.

¡°I don¡¯t believe this is the case at all.¡± Zhiqiu said.

    The director smiled.

¡°Zhiqiu¡¯s intuition¡ªthat¡¯s the word they used¡ªobjected to this inference,¡± the director said.

"This is not intuition," Zhiqiu retorted, "There is no such thing as intuition. This is common sense, this is the art of detective work, if you want to say it. All these inferences are wrong, made up, and  They painstakingly conceived it.¡±

    The director laughed again.

    "I just can't understand this."

"Men," Zhiqiu said, "let yourself be led by these numbers and schedules, and forget what you are supposed to be doing. But it's all mechanical, and every level creaks. It's like¡ª  -It's like a terrible storyline, completely made up around an idea, but in fact, that idea simply won't work. You are thinking in your mind that you must arrange Jiang Tiansheng, Ma and Ye Fan into it,  When you have a conflict you say, 'Oh, this - we'll work it out. We let him do this, we let him do that.' But you can't let someone else do it just to fit your reasoning.  What can't be done in real life? Why do you have to bring all these people in?"

"There are indeed many things that need to be explained here, and we cannot deny it." Gu Pengfei said.

"There's certainly a lot to explain, but your understanding is even more incredible than the question itself. There's no way anyone could have planned a murder like that. You've made them incredibly smart in one way and horrifyingly stupid in another."  . No matter what the explanation for the doubts is, it must be simpler, more reasonable, and not difficult to understand than what you said. Do you understand what I mean? You are making up a case on your own."

"I understand what you mean." Xia wanted to say.
