The Provincial Propaganda Department is a government department. Compared with other departments, its power is not great. In the early years of the Republic of China, this department did not exist at all. Its work duties were mainly handled by other departments until Fang Zida reported to the then Prime Minister Song  Jiaoren suggested that Song Jiaoren felt that a country really needed to have a counterpart department dedicated to controlling public opinion and propaganda, so he set up a non-cabinet member non-staff department in the State Council, which is now the Propaganda Department.

As Song Jiaoren's confidant, Fang Zida was also responsible for the organizational work within the kmt party. After the establishment of the Propaganda Department, he took the lead without much effort. Later, he successively set up branches in various provinces and cities according to the model of later Propaganda Departments.  It took several years for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to establish a national propaganda channel.

Compared with some power departments, the Propaganda Department, which only focuses on propaganda, is inconspicuous in government agencies. It is neither a fertile position nor has much real power. Its main job on weekdays is just to deal with major newspapers and reporters.  , to outsiders it seems like it is just a place for leisure people.  But no one knew that as early as the establishment of the Propaganda Department, Fang Zida had instructed Zhou Yuanliang's Secret Service to add people to the Propaganda Department. Later, the Secret Service was divided, and Zhou Yuanliang also kept an eye on it while handing over various intelligence agencies in the country.  Secretly, the Propaganda Department has been concealed, so now some "special employees" of the Propaganda Department appear to be government officials, but in fact they have another identity, that is, they are members of the Intelligence Bureau.

Gong Shuge is such a person. His public identity is an officer of the Provincial Propaganda Department, but he is also a member of the Intelligence Bureau, and he is directly subordinate to Zhou Yuanliang, the former Director of the Intelligence Bureau.  Although Yang Yongtai is the current director, the people in the Propaganda Department are still in Zhou Yuanliang's hands, and the identities of these people are kept secret.  Moreover, the number of people was small, so it was natural for Yang Yongtai not to pay attention.

After get off work that day, Gong Shuge was the last one to leave the office as usual. After locking the door, he first went to a barbecue shop near the provincial government to buy a bag of barbecued pork, and then walked slowly towards home.

Just walked near home.  Gong Shuge saw his 5-year-old son squatting on the ground and playing in the mud with two little guys. The three kids made it look like mud monkeys and shouted happily.

"Ming'er! What are you doing? It's time to go home and have dinner. Look what I brought."

"Dad!" The little clay monkey looked up when he heard the shout, and ran over laughing, fearing that he would fall, Gong Shuge hurriedly helped him.

"Barbecued pork! GeezI'm eating barbecued pork today!" The little clay monkey wrinkled his nose and smelled the aroma.  He clapped and applauded happily.

"Hello, uncle!" The two little guys who were playing with the little clay monkey just now also ran over and greeted Gong Shuge with a smile.

"Youbig stones and small stones! Haha, my uncle almost didn't recognize you when you were covered in mud. Why are you here? Where are your parents?" After taking a closer look, Gong Shuge suddenly became happy.  Aren't the two boys the children of my brother-in-law? No wonder they looked familiar before.  They were the ones who had been making trouble for a long time.

"It's in the house!" Xiaoshi stretched out his hand and pointed toward Gong Shuge's house.

"Let's go home together. Look at what you are like. Take a shower and change clothes first." Pulling the three boys, Gong Shuge took them home. After a few steps, he heard a sound from his wife in the house.  He and his sister-in-law came out and handed the barbecued pork to his wife, asking her to take the children to take a shower.  As soon as he entered the house, he saw his brother-in-law Zhao Shiru sitting in the house.

    "Agg!"

"Aru, when did you come? Sit down and smoke a cigarette" He said hello to Zhao Shiru with a smile, took out a cigarette and handed it to him, and then lit it with the fire that Zhao Shiru came over.  Take a breath.

"It's been a while" After lighting himself and extinguishing the match in his hand, Zhao Shiru stretched his neck and looked outside the house.

"Adi and the others took the children to take a shower."

"Oh, oh" Zhao Shiru nodded, dragged Gong Shuge to the corner and whispered: "Age, I came today to ask you something."

"What do you want from your relatives? What's wrong? Are you inconvenient? Tell me, how much do you want to borrow?" Zhao Shiru looked mysterious.  Gong Shuge couldn't help but laugh.

"It's not borrowing money." Seeing the misunderstanding, Zhao Shiru quickly shook his head and said, "Actually, this is not mine, it's my uncle's no no it's my uncle's employer's business. In fact, I didn't want to come, but my uncle asked me to come.  Someone gave me a message saying that I must see you, and he seemed very anxious."

"Your uncle? Is your uncle a loyal uncle of the Chen family?"

"Yes, yes!" Zhao Shiru nodded repeatedly.

Gong Shuge understood immediately.  The owner Zhao Shiru is talking about should be the famous Chen family in Guangzhou City, that is, the current head of the Chen family, Chen XUncle.  However, he had never had any contact with Chen Lianbo. Even he had only met Zhao Shiru's uncle Zhongshu a few times. There was no friendship between them and they were just distant relatives with a relatively weak relationship.  What's the point of having Zhao Shiru suddenly come to find him out of nowhere?  Gong Shuge is self-aware. Although he is a government official, he is only a small officer in the Propaganda Department. In Guangzhou, whether it is money or power, not to mention Chen Lianbo, even Uncle Zhong's words carry more weight than himself.

"Uncle Zhong is looking for me? What do you want from me?"

Gong Shuge asked in surprise. Zhao Shiru shook his head and said he didn't know, but he told Gong Shuge that Uncle Zhong told him that he must meet with Gong Shuge today to bring the news, and he must ask Gong Shuge to keep this matter secret.  Can't tell the third person.

Gong Shuge is not an ordinary person. His first feeling was that Uncle Zhong must have something big going on, and it was not a big deal.  Due to his special status, Gong Shuge did not inquire into the details and just agreed casually.  Then, he and Zhao Shiru made some inquiries around the house, and after confirming that the other party did not know anything, he couldn't help but think deeply.

One day later, on the morning of the second day, Gong Shuge went out early and went straight to a teahouse near Xiguan for tea.  When we arrived at the place, we entered a private room as Zhao Shiru said. Not long after we sat down, the side door of the private room next door opened, and an old man of short stature and ordinary clothes walked in from the side door of the two private rooms.

"Uncle Zhong!" Gong Shuge knew this man. He was Uncle Zhong, an old man from the Chen family and Zhao Shiru's uncle.

"Age, I'm sorry for causing you trouble." Uncle Zhong looked at the closed door first, and then bowed his hand to Gong Shuge apologetically.

"What are you talking about? We are all relatives. It is not troublesome to talk about it. But Uncle Zhong, what are you doing today?" Gong Shuge pointed to the side door and asked with a puzzled look on his face.

"Hey my old man has no choice." He sat down and poured himself a cup of tea. Uncle Zhong drank the tea and shook his head and sighed: "I'll tell you, Ag, my master has encountered something big. Not only can this  I came to see you this way, for the sake of my relatives, I need your help!"

"Big event? You mean President Chen? This is impossible, right? President Chen is a prominent figure in our Guangzhou! What big event can he encounter? Besides, I am just a small employee of the Propaganda Department, how can I  What can I do to help President Chen? President Chen knows more people than I do, whether he is a foreigner or an official, so I¡¯m afraid this will be too busy"

Waving his hand, interrupting Gong Shuge's words, Uncle Zhong sighed: "You are right, but it is not convenient for President Chen to come forward in this matter, and he cannot trust those people outside. I remember Aru mentioned to me that you  Are there any classmates working in the State Council in Beijing?"

"Yes, yes, but he is just a little shrimp" Gong Shuge nodded, but still explained.

"It doesn't matter how big or small, as long as there are people!" Uncle Zhong said: "We are all on our own, so I will say it bluntly. My master has indeed encountered a big problem. To talk about it, we have to start talking about it some time ago  "

Uncle Zhong told Gong Shuge the situation in detail. Of course, in his account, Chen Lianbo was completely forced. Everything was Chen Gongshou's conspiracy. This ungrateful Chen Gongshou has now brought the entire Chen family to  They are forced into a desperate situation, and the Chen family is definitely a good citizen who supports the government. However, the current situation is unclear, and it is difficult to ensure that the Guangzhou government does not have Chen Gongshou's eyes and ears, so they can only save the country in a detour and ask Gong Shuge for help. Through him in the capital  classmates reported the incident.

As Uncle Zhong told his story, Gong Shuge's expression became more solemn. He had learned some information about the situation of Chen Shaobai and others through insider information, and various places, including Guangzhou, had also made certain arrangements.  However, he did not expect that things would develop to this point. Chen Shaobai and others actually colluded with people like Chen Gongshou, and even tried to drag the Chen family, a business leader, into trouble. If they really succeeded, the previous intelligence  I'm afraid the bureau's response will be extremely troublesome.

    "Agg! Agg!"

"Oh, I'm sorry, Uncle Zhong, it's too big, I was frightened for a moment." Gong Shuge, who was fascinated by the thought, quickly explained in order to cover up his gaffe.

Of course Uncle Zhong understands the seriousness of this matter. No matter who hears this matter, he will be shocked. It is normal for Gong Shuge to have such a reaction.

"After much thought, your loyal uncle has no choice but to ask you for help. I'm really sorry, Age. I shouldn't have bothered you in the first place. It's actually not a good thing to get involved in this matter."

Gong Shuge smiled bitterly and said: "Isn't it a good thing, but Uncle Zhong, once this happens, the entire Guangzhou will be in ruins! I am from Guangzhou, and I will also be one of the sufferers. How can I sit back and do nothing?  What? Besides, we are all relatives, so I can¡¯t do anything that will not save you. So, I¡¯ll try my best to contact you.??My classmates, but there is no guarantee when the above will reply, so we have to make other arrangements in advance.  "

"Of course! Of course!" Uncle Zhong's words were enough. He said gratefully: "I haven't said anything yet. As long as the government doesn't treat our Chen family as rebels, it's enough. They will naturally make arrangements for us. Besides, this matter  After you pass, my master will be very grateful!" (To be continued.)
