no. 262 The mountains are blocked by heavy snow, and nearly half of the Taoism is hidden (End)

It is said that writing a book is difficult, but reading a book is easy.  This is especially true for intellectual books like Daozang. In order to repeatedly confirm a point of view, one often has to read it back and forth many times. Sometimes this sentence has multiple interpretations in different classics.  It would be fine if the various explanations that followed had been taken into consideration before this sentence, but if not, it would be fine.  Then what I wrote before had to be overturned and rewritten, which can be said to be cumbersome and tight.  In addition, the ideas in some classics are slightly contradictory.  How to correct this contradiction is a very troublesome matter, so it is quite difficult to say that nearly half of this Taoist secret has been compiled in the past two years.

"Lao Yuan, do you think we are a little too eager for quick success?" Huang Junming suddenly said to Yuan Tiangang.

Huang Junming¡¯s sudden voice startled Yuan Tiangang, who was looking at the snow scene, to jump.  "Eager for quick success and quick gains? Haha, Immortal Master, you are overthinking." Yuan Tiangang obviously disagreed with Huang Junming's quick success, or he didn't care at all.  "We are eager for quick success and short-term benefits, but we don't think so. We are here to benefit future generations. So doing this is not considered eager for quick success and quick benefits."

Obviously, in Yuan Tiangang's thinking, this kind of practice that is contrary to Taoist ideas is not a bad thing at all, but a good thing that can be remembered in history. No one in this world can escape the word fame and fortune, but everyone knows that this is a certain mountain in the past dynasties.  The orthodox dispute with a certain mountain lasted for hundreds of years, but little did they know that a certain Lin Temple was blushing for the position of an honorary martial arts master. This Taoist indifference.  The tranquility of Buddhism has never been associated with fame and fortune.

Huang Junming understands the utilitarianism of these people, isn't he the same way?  So after Yuan Tiangang stopped answering, he didn't make any reply. He just changed the topic and said to himself: "I don't know how many more days it will snow." After saying that, he walked forward and left.  I walked along the path that people had cleared and walked towards the top of the mountain. I saw that the snow was two or three feet thick, and one foot was deep and the other was shallow when walking.  Fortunately, Taoist priest uniforms require leggings.  I won't put snow into my trouser legs.

Yuan Tiangang followed Huang Junming, staggering step by step, until he followed Huang Junming to the top of the mountain.  Different from Huang Junming.  Yuan Tiangang's body was relatively large, so it was very difficult to walk. Now he reached the top of the mountain.  I was already shaking from fatigue.  It was more out of confusion about Huang Junming's sudden approach to the top of the mountain.  Yuan Tiangang took a breath for a while and then asked: "Master Immortal, why are you going up the mountain in such freezing weather?"

"Lao Yuan, I just feel a little depressed. You can see the lights of thousands of families in Chang'an City here. Isn't it a good place to relax?" The depression that Huang Junming didn't come made him a little depressed. Maybe it had to do with this winter day.  It must have something to do with the dull atmosphere with the dry weather and heavy snowfall.  The heavy snow has been falling for several days, and the silence is a bit eerie. The snow is falling overwhelmingly, and it is already evening.  It made the world gray.  I really can't bring myself to have any good feelings.

And from the top of the mountain, you can see the appearance of Chang'an City in front.  Although it was snowing heavily at this time, it was already approaching the end of the year, and the family had already hung up red lanterns. Although it was not very clear in this snowy day, the city of Chang'an could be seen between the gaps in the snowflakes.  It really does look like thousands of lights.

"Master Immortal, are you feeling sentimental again?" Yuan Tiangang glanced at Chang'an City from a distance, and then said: "I remember a few years ago when I passed through Dongting on the poor road, I saw a couplet on the tower of Baling City. The couplet said  What¡¯s more, the lakes and mountains are all around us, and all the families are filled with joy and sorrow. Now that I think about it, you must be feeling like this, Master Immortal.¡±

Yuan Tiangang still said that Huang Junming was noble, and thousands of families were filled with sorrow and joy. In the Tang Dynasty, this was a great compliment no matter which scholar or high-ranking figure he placed on it.  But in Huang Junming's case, that's really not the case.  "Lao Yuan, you think too much again." Huang Junming said with a wry smile.  "Look, that's Chang'an. The lights are most densely packed with the Tai Chi Palace, and the lights become sparse as you go outwards. Looking at it the other way around, doesn't it seem like the lights from all directions are moving towards the Tai Chi Palace? What if the cold wind tonight is not like this?  It¡¯s freezing cold. If the moon and stars are sparse tonight, it will be so beautiful when the sky and the earth shine together.¡±

"It's a pity that the wind and snow are blowing tonight, so we can't see the bright moon and stars. But the wind and snow will eventually fall." Yuan Tiangang said.  Having said this, he, being mature and prudent, already understood Huang Junming's worries.

After this snow, the first year of Zhenguan will also come to an end. In the next two years of Zhenguan, Huang Junming made a big bet.  For example, predicting locust plagues, Turkic wars, or Shandong clans.  These are all major events, and basically all of them will be backlogged in the second year of Zhenguan, and they are one step after another. If there is any mistake, all the previous efforts will be basically wasted.

And these three factors all rely on Li Shimin. If the locust plague had come as scheduled, he would have been notified long ago and had already been dealt with. The people who have been prepared will not be dissatisfied with Li Shimin, and will even support Li Shimin more, making his throne more stable.  After the locust plague, the high pressure brought by the locust plague to the people was used to create a hole in the direction of the Turks to let the people release the pressure.  Defeat the Turks in one battle.  Once the Turks are destroyed, Huang Junming's plan to bring Taoism out of the country will basically be successful.  And because Taoists played a great role in planning the Turks.  It will definitely leave a deep and excellent impression on the officials and senior officials of Datang.  These two points are a win-win situation for both the royal family of Chang'an City and the Taoism led by Huang Junming.

And these two points are based on the external contradictions of natural disasters and foreign enemies.  Once these two matters are dealt with, the internal conflict between the power of the aristocratic family and the imperial power, and the contradiction between the monopoly thinking of the aristocratic family and the open thinking of Taoism will be put on the table again.  If the first two things are handled properly, then the reputation accumulated by the royal family and the Taoist family will definitely not be taken advantage of by the family. If the first two things fail.  The loss of the royal family and the decline of the Taoist sect are inevitable.  Now, the Daomen and the Royal Family are the areas with the most densely lit lights in Chang'an City. Natural disasters, foreign enemies, and internal troubles are the external wind and snow.  It seems like a metaphor, but it is very vivid.

"I hope so." Huang Junming turned around, raised his hands, let the wind and snow blow on his body, and made an embrace gesture with his face toward the sky.  He narrowed his eyes and said, "Old Yuan, you know, ever since he came to the Tang Dynasty, Pindao always thought he owned the whole world!"
