"The kind goddess will save everyone"

The young man in a white robe spoke earnestly and distributed food to the refugees sitting on the ground.

However, no matter how hard they try, it is difficult to get a response from these numb-looking people.

    ¡ª¡ªWho are these people?

"If the energetic girl with smooth black straight hair and a pair of cherry blossom hairpins were there, I'm afraid she would sigh like this.

    ¡ª¡ªDesperate people.

And her partner, the girl with her hair in twin tails with a tacky red silk handkerchief, would undoubtedly answer this way.

    That¡¯s right.

Their gray eyes were lifeless, just staring blankly into the distance.

No, it can¡¯t be called looking, because there is no focus in the gaze.

However, even so, their eyes would never glance at the huge object in the distance.

Even here, close to the border, the majestic appearance of the giant white pillar passing through the clouds can still be clearly seen.

That was the beginning of all disasters.

With the ever-growing giant pillar as the center, everything gradually crystallizes, breaks, and finally turns into scattered salt blocks.

Because this disaster happened so suddenly and bizarrely, most people are still confused.

Of course, compared to the family, friends, colleagues, and strangers who turned into blocks of salt, those who can escape here in a daze are already very lucky.

It wasn¡¯t until the young man in white robe brought bread and water to them that most people¡¯s eyes became slightly brighter.

    "!"

A young man let out a short scream.

The bread in his hand was snatched away in an instant by unimaginable force.  The guy who was so indifferent a moment ago is so fast that he can compete with a monster with a wind stone in his body.

"Be careful, this is very hard"

The young man wearing glasses was stunned as soon as he spoke.

The guy stuffed the whole piece of bread into his mouth without any care and chewed it.

The hard black bread known as ¡°teeth cake¡± is definitely not a good thing. As a disciple of the Goddess Church, Galug-Wiseman himself has been dealing with teeth cakes for a long time.  The seniors of the church who originally invented this thing were probably hated by their juniors all the time.

¡ª¡ªI hope he has a good life in the kingdom of the goddess.

    "Is there any more?"

In a flash of thought, the man in front of him had finished eating a large piece of molar cake and raised his head to ask him.

"I'm sorry, this is a quota for everyone"

Wiseman said with a smile behind his spectacles and took a step back.

That smile contains three parts of apology, three parts of bitterness, and three parts of vigilance.

Only then did he realize that the man sitting on the ground before was so tall and strong.  If he stood up, he would be about a head taller and twice as wide as the thin apprentice monk himself.

He has dark skin that is almost brown and does not look like a person from Northumbria or other countries in the northern part of the continent of Semuria.  The contours of his face have a strange sense of integration, and his origins cannot be seen.

    ¡ª¡ªIs it a hunter?

There was something in the man's almost black, dark brown eyes that reminded Wise Man United of those cold, violent killing machines that regarded human life as nothing.

Although, being born in Northumbria, a prosperous and peaceful country, and serving in the Qiyao Church, Wiseman did not come into contact with many people who had no regard for the teachings of the goddess, but once was enough.

He hugged tightly the remaining pieces of black bread in his arms.

¡ª¡ªIf this person takes action to rob

?? Wiseman looked at his thin body under his white robe, and compared it with the man's muscle lines that could still be seen clearly even under the heavy coat, and couldn't help but despair.

??-But this is the only food ration for these refugees!

There is not much food left.

The same goes for medicines and water.

The Grand Duke and the army, who were supposed to be responsible for disaster relief, are now nowhere to be seen.

There are rumors that they have fled to the Empire to seek asylum.

There are also rumors that they have turned into salt blocks that can be seen everywhere.

    There are also rumors that

But Galluger-Wiseman doesn¡¯t have the energy to care about that.

More and more refugees are gathering at this station near the border.

? ?However, the supplies that the church hastily assembled are getting less and less.

    "Hello!"

If there is no more aid, I¡¯m afraid we will run out of food tomorrow no, today.

    "Hey you!"

At this point, we can only rely on the mercy of the goddessright?

    "!"

Wiseman jumped suddenly.  The stinging pain in his legs made the corners of his mouth twist.

He looked at the man who had stood up with an almost horrified expression.

    Sure enoughit's so big!

The man stood up, and the shadow seemed to cover him.

Wiseman hugged the remaining black bread harder.

"Aren't you going to take care of it?"

The words of the man in front of him were beyond his expectation.

    "¡ª¡ªsorry?"

The man didn¡¯t speak any more, and just pointed in the distance.

    "Do not touch me!"

The sharp female voice was as harsh as a steel needle.  His bloodshot eyes glared viciously at the young man wearing a white robe like Wiseman.

She was wrapped in a coat, but her legs and feet were exposed, covered with mud and wounds.  Under the dried blood, there was an unpleasant smell even in this chilly weather.

The monk and nun carrying the medical kit looked at each other, and the latter said in a gentle voice:

"Madam, we want to treat your injuries, and the child also needs to have a physical examination"

"You must want to take away my baby, right?"

The woman interrupted the nun¡¯s words, her voice hoarse, her blood-red eyes like a beast during its calving period.

There is an unnatural bulge on the coat that wraps her up, it must be her child.

¡°I don¡¯t know how much hardship she went through before she escaped here with her child in her arms.

    "we do not have¡¡"

    "That's you!"

    ¡¡

The young nun's face turned redder and redder.  She was not a good-tempered person to begin with, and after working around the clock for several days, her patience became even worse.  After saying a few words, she lost patience and was ready to take action.

The woman's intuition is as sharp as that of a beast. Her body under the coat is arched, and her blood-red eyes stare straight at the nun.

¡ª¡ª¡°Aren¡¯t you going to take care of it?¡±

The man in front of Wiseman said again.

    "Why do you care?"

The young monk cast a puzzled look behind his spectacles.

¡°Even if Aniya¡ªthat nun¡ªhad done anything violent, it was for the good of that woman.  If you are a little hasty in your methods, the kind goddess will forgive you right?

    ""

When he noticed the man's gaze, he couldn't help but take a step back.

There was something he didn't like in it.

    No, not the Chasseur.

The hunters will not show such empty and excited eyes.  It's just like¡¡

    It's just like¡¡

Before he could figure out how to describe that feeling, something strange had already happened.

The sharp scream was simply sharper than a steel needle.

    "!"

The woman was instantly subdued by Sister Aniya. She carefully opened her coat and tried to take out the baby.

However, the situation in front of her made this well-informed senior nun pale in horror.

The woman was only wearing a nightgown, and her sleeves were empty.  There is no flesh and blood under the exposed shoulder, and there is only a trace of white on the cross section.

And the baby on her chest

It was a baby with a complete posture, as if it was asleep.

It¡¯s just that the color is wrong.

The crystal white surface reflects the cold sunlight without a trace of stain.

The expressions of the monks and nuns suddenly changed.

As for the surrounding refugees, their cloudy eyes instantly turned into panic as soon as they came into contact with the crystal-white salt block.

People mingled together, shouting, shouting, crying, saying things that neither themselves nor others could understand, running, walking, and even crawling, just to get as far away from that woman as possible.

Like an explosion, a large open space opened up around it.

Noisy voices sounded among the refugees.

    "The cause of trouble."

    "Beat her to death."

    "right."

    ¡¡

It seems like only a moment? The refugees reached an agreement and picked up the stones on the roadbed.

"Kill her, or we will all die here."

A stone flew across the air, then another.

The woman shrank her body.  She was already thin, and the stones thrown by the refugees lost their target and made collision sounds on the empty ground.

    However, the stones kept coming.

Finally, a stone hit the woman, and blood-red liquid splashed out.

The woman did not cry out.

She stretched her body as much as possible to protect her child - the child who had turned into a block of salt.

A stone flew and hit her broken arm.  The glistening white salt layer splashed, the closed blood vessels opened, and the blood splashed on the babythe salt block that was once a baby, and quickly seeped into it.

? Crystal white and blood red, glaring pain.

    "you!"

The young priest roared.  When he reacted, Galluger-Wiseman, the always gentle and elegant monk, had already opened his arms and stood in front of the woman with wide eyes.

However, the refugees seemed to be in a frenzy, and stones were flying like raindrops.  In the blink of an eye, he was hit by a stone.

Blood spattered out and the glasses were cracked.  The young man's vision instantly turned into broken red.

    More rocks passed by.

But it was blocked in the air.

The air in front of Wiseman seemed to have turned into something as thick and dense as a liquid. The stone hit it, creating circles of water ripples, and then it exhausted its kinetic energy and was finally embedded in it.

    Wiseman¡¯s eyes widened.

¡ª¡ªIs it a tactical force guidethe wall of the earth?

Before confirming, he suddenly knelt on the ground and covered his ears in pain.

The stone made a sharp sound and cracked.  Then, there was a fierce sound and it broke into balls of gravel.

The thick air disappeared, gravel poured onto the ground, and clouds of smoke rose¡ª¡ª

    who is it¡¡

The sound of footsteps came, and a figure wearing a nun's uniform entered his field of vision.

She has a healthy complexion and is tall among women.

The most impressive thing is probably her eyes.

Under the cold sunlight, eyes radiate as brightly as red obsidian¡ª¡ª

    impossible¡¡

Wiseman is quite confident in his hearing.  The footsteps were very heavy, even for a thin man like him.  In the end it was a woman?

¡ª¡ªNo, this is not the time to think about such a thing.

The crowd has made some unkind noises.  Although they were frightened by the miraculous scene just now, most people still clutched the stones in their hands tightly.

The fluctuations of hostility and murderous intent can be felt here.

    "Back off!"

    A roar.

If he hadn¡¯t seen it with his own eyes, Wiseman wouldn¡¯t have believed that it was the sound a woman could make.

He dared to swear that at that moment he thought he heard the roar of a huge monster.

The refugees fell like wheat swept by a scythe.  The sound of stones falling to the ground came and went.

With a skip in his heart, Wiseman felt as if he had been hit by a hammer, and the wound on his head was in severe pain.

That roar was actually mixed with a direct impact on the spirit.

    Wiseman shook.

    Too tired?

    Or blood loss.

    Probably, there are both reasons.

Wiseman felt like he couldn¡¯t hold it any longer.

    "Um?!"

One arm lifted his body up like a kitten and stood upright.

Only then did Wiseman realize that the shaking was not an illusion, the ground was really shaking.

    "¡ª¡ª!"

Amidst the loud whistle, the heavy iron blocks made a harsh friction sound and slowly stopped.

There was the sound of cracking salt grains on the rails.

    It¡¯s a train.

It is a train used to evacuate refugees.

There were sounds of joy among the refugees.

"Queue up to get on the bus, women and children have priority!"

    The nun calmly gave orders.

People dropped the stones in their hands and started queuing up with various things, like?As docile as a lamb under the shepherd's whip.

And the monks and nuns who were just stunned started to move like busy ants, as if to make up for their daze.

Wiseman turned his attention to the woman.

Her skin has turned almost transparent white.  The glistening white traces spread upward along the body that had lost its blood at a speed visible to the naked eye.

    It¡¯s probably hopeless.

Wiseman thought he would feel sad.

    but none.

    die.

    There are already too many.

However, in the next moment, the young monk, who felt uneasy about his indifference, could not help but widen his eyes.

The tall man stretched out his right hand towards the woman, and the purple lightning coiled like the core spit out by a poisonous snake and suddenly exploded.

The air was suddenly heated to an unimaginable high temperature, and the crystal-white salt blocks emitted a dazzling light, eventually melting into a hot fluid with a strange blue-yellow flame.

"The woman's body, before she even had time to twitch, was dyed gray and submerged in the hot salt.

    "you!"

Wiseman felt the blood rush to his head.

However, before he could take any action, his vision turned black.

    He fainted.
