Twenty-three Sulla Cancer Beast

Previous page        Return to Catalog        Next page

Archdruid Camilla stood on the balcony of the grand onion-vaulted palace in the world of Moria, looking down at her newest creation in the warm sunlight.

It was a giant mass of flesh and blood that was difficult to describe in words and was constantly pulsing.  It has no head, no tail, no hands, feet or limbs, and its whole body exudes a strong and nauseating impulse.

The giant thing frantically absorbed nutrients from the surrounding vegetation. Its size was close to half of the castle, but without the support of bones, it was quickly crushed by its own weight and split into several smaller flesh and blood objects.  But these split flesh and blood things did not die. Instead, they continued to draw nutrients from all around crazily. Pieces of exotic flowers and plants that were crushed died and withered until they were wrapped in flesh and blood.  The size of the new flesh and blood object slowly increases again at a speed visible to the human eye.

The grounds that house these creatures of flesh and blood are the gardens attached to the castle, as are many other natural beauties of the world of Moria.  It is filled with colorful floral vegetation and tall woody life like giant trees. In the warm season of the planet, when the flowers are in full bloom, the garden is like a colorful ocean.  Whenever the warm wind blows, countless hyacinths and pollen fly up, dyeing the wind purple, like a dream.

Now, these once-bright flowers have died one after another, turning into nutrients and being absorbed by these flesh and blood things.  In the sea of ????flowers, a large area of ??withered yellow appeared in the center of the flesh and blood objects, and then spread rapidly to the surroundings, as if a drop of dye dropped into the clear water In the eyes of Camilla and other Starhpenser druids, this is a human being.  The heart-stopping beauty, the new life that is stronger and more adaptable to the environment replaces the primitive and fragile old life, which symbolizes the vitality and prosperity of nature.

The Cancer Beast¡ª¡ªthe Druids of the Starhespense sect call it so. Although it is simple, this name cannot be more appropriate.

The Cancer Beast has no nerves, no brain, no muscles, nothing, just endlessly proliferating cancer cells.  From this perspective, the Cancer Beast is actually not an animal in the general sense, but a giant cancer tumor.  It is nearly impossible to kill, although it can be cut, pierced, burned, and frozen.  But even if only the tiniest fragment survives, the cancer beast can be reborn and continue to proliferate crazily Hundreds of Starhpenser druids racked their brains to combine druid magic and life chain  The potential of the transformation technology was maximized to create this incredible ultimate creature.

The Cancer Beast cannot attack and has no special abilities. Its only ability is to continuously absorb nutrients from the surroundings to proliferate.  But in the eyes of Archdruid Camilla, its significance is more important than those violent and ferocious beasts and powerful biological weapons combined.  Because the Cancer Beast defeated humanity's most powerful enemy as a species - famine.

It can survive in any environment - as long as there is organic matter there, it can use all kinds of nutrients, withstand any composition of air, and endure gravity ranging from barely noticeable to crushing the bones of a living person.  Plus - by the standards of the druids of the Starh spenser - it's edible, making it the perfect source of animal protein.

The cost of making this thing is also extremely high. Many outstanding archdruids have been testing various plagues and poisons in this experimental base for many years to induce various types of cancer.  Then intercept the potentially useful lifeline from it, and finally splice it together to form the first piece of code for this thing.

This process is long.  It was tortuous and dangerous, not to mention that it almost destroyed the important research resource of Parvati, the goddess of healing.

During the conquest of the world of Mystara, Parvati, the local aboriginal god of life and healing, was defeated and captured alive by the Witch King Malik and the Witch King Dlegos.  Malik had a very indecent way to make money from the defeated and imprisoned goddess, while Delegos advocated killing her, mummifying her body, and putting her on the front lines of the Great Holy War.

The two couldn't argue, and in the end the archdruid Camilla had to mediate.  As a compromise, Camilla gained ownership of the goddess.  She imprisoned the latter on Moria, a newly conquered frontier world, and implanted various newly created plagues and diseases into the body of the healing god.  Of course, she could survive these indescribable poisons and pathologies, but it took a great deal of energy and willpower.  By observing this process, the druids of the Starhespense can learn important knowledge about pathology and epidemiology.  This makes the goddess Parvati one of the most important research resources for the Druids of the Starhpensa sect, and the world of Moria has also become the fortress planet of the Druids.

There are many aboriginal people in the world of Mystara whose minds are filled with unrealistic fantasies. They want to rush into the fortress tightly guarded by the druids of Starhpenser and rescue the goddess.  These people have undoubtedly become research materials for the druids.

The sound of rapid footsteps came from behind Arch Druid Camilla, she couldn¡¯t help butWhen he turned around, he already noticed the identity of the visitor.

¡°Let me guess.¡± Camilla turned back gracefully, her movements filled with an indescribable sense of coordination.  The Great Conquest not only brought countless specimens of species for the druids of the Starhespense sect to transform, but also allowed them to transform themselves to a higher level.  "The mission to capture the Brainhunter failed again."

Witch King Malik stopped ten feet away from the Archdruid, took out a handkerchief soaked in precious perfume, wiped his forehead, and nodded.  "Your enemies are lucky enough to retain their brains for a little while longeralthough they still have to face the terrifying monsters and deadly plagues bred from the pool of hundreds of thousands of Starhespense druids."

Camilla did not leave the balcony, but simply shrugged.  "You call them monsters, which is not accurate. From the perspective of survival of the fittest, they are more tenacious and more adaptable to nature. In other words, they are more normal, while other species are monsters."

"Conversing with the druids of Starhpensaite always gives me wonderful enlightenment in wisdom." Witch King Malik said seriously, his double chin trembled with his words.  "But I'm not here to report a failed hunt to you, Lady Camilla. He's back. This has been confirmed from several different sources."

Camilla didn¡¯t respond immediately.  She looked at the cancer beast outside the castle. The flesh and blood fragments of the spawned offspring had also grown to huge proportions, almost as big as their mothers.  Prosperity and everlasting life, the druid thought.

"This is expected, isn't it." The archdruid said almost to himself.  "We have known for a long time that Mohadi will return sooner or later, just as the prophecy said."

"The prophecies concocted by Atki's psions hundreds of years ago were used to create a false leader one day that would take away the mages' dominant position in Athas You don't believe in those as much as I do.  Prophecy." The Witch King shook his head.  "A tool used to fool the foolish people and women."

¡°It was indeed ancient psions who used deep suggestion and other psychic techniques to make the prophecies widely known,¡± Camilla agreed.  "But who says they themselves are not instruments of the First Cause?"

"It sounds like you have become a devout believer, a strange combination of a Druid and a believer of the Stahebense sect." The Witch King clicked his tongue and shook his head.  "Perhaps I should take a break? Give you some time to pray?"

"Each of us has a role to play, Malik. Don't forget that you are also a holy warrior under the only true God." Camilla said.  "So put away your sarcasm and let's talk about how to deal with Mohadi."

¡°Muhadi-Rajat,¡± the Witch-King corrected.  "There will be a price to pay for underestimating him. Many Witch Kings have learned this the hard way. But we have no retreat, there must be a battle."

"There must be a battle, you are right." Camilla said.  "At the end of the Purification War, the Taichu Warlock was defeated and sealed before, so he can be defeated and sealed again."

"All the Witch Kings joined forces and used the power of the black soul stone to barely seal the old guy." Malik said.  "Dregos can make the dead Witch-King into a dracolich, but it's not as good as the original version. The Arakoran Lasher Lalalip, the Goblin Death God Daskinor, and the Tarim Nemesis Kali  The three Demars are very different from us. As for the tenth warrior lizardman executioner Oronishe is even more hopeless. Rumors say he has gone crazy and wants to transform himself into a transcendent."

¡°Plus the biological weapons of me and the druids of Starhpenser¡± Camilla continued, raising a finger.

"It's still not enough" Malik shook his head.  "The old guy may not have a normal memory, but I'm sure he will still explode in a life-or-death situation."

"Add Danjar, Muhadi's spiritual crystal servant." The archdruid suggested again, raising a second finger.

"He can be useful, but it's a pity that his performance is unstable. After all, it's just a soul fragment and not complete." The Witch King still shook his head.  "We still lack strength, and we really can't find help."

Arch Druid Camilla clasped the side rail of the balcony with her left hand, turned around and approached the Witch King.  "Did you know that in the Green Age, when Athas still had oceans, there lived a species called Megalodon?"

"Just treat me as if I don't know, and then what?" Witch King Malik replied, taking half a step back.

"The megalodon has a very unique oral structure, and it only has canine teeth and no molars. It relies on a small marine creature called a scavenger fish to clean its mouth to avoid infection," Camilla continued.  "The scavenger fish lives on the residue in the mouth of the megalodon, a harmonious symbiotic relationship."??

¡°I don¡¯t see how this amazing paleontological knowledge has anything to do with the problems we face now.¡±

"The Megalodon had no natural enemies in the ocean, but it eventually became extinct. The reason was a plague spread by scavenger fish." Arch Druid said.  "Now you see the moral of the story."

¡°It is undoubtedly a warning to us to pay attention to oral hygiene¡± Malik shrugged.  "I'm not a three-year-old child. You want to say that we can start with the people around Muhadi? It's useless. Even if you capture the female elf who calls herself Saint Fatima and the chief magistrate together. If necessary,  The old man won't show mercy at all, that's the kind of person he is."

"I'm not talking about those pointed-eared humanoids," the Archdruid interrupted the Witch King and raised his third finger.  "I'm talking about the Coral Witch."

"Satili?" Malik finally became interested.  "She? How could the Coral Witch join forces with us?"

"She has already joined forces with the Witch Kings once, hasn't she? At the Pure Fortress." Arch Druid said.  "She can be our biggest help against the Taichu Warlock."

"Interesting suggestion, are you sure Satiri will join us in dealing with Muhaddi?" the Witch King tilted his head and said.

"The essence of these two people is in conflict with each other. The Coral Witch is an idealist and believes that all people are born equal. In her heart, she advocates egalitarianism and hopes to establish a rational and free golden age of mankind. No one will be affected by gender or race.  , be treated differently because of their origin or belief." Camilla said half-sarcastically.  ¡°Leaving aside Mohadi¡¯s personal wishes, the first reason is that the conflict between the church and this idea is inevitable.¡±

"Even if you are as childish as the Coral Witch, you still understand the gap between ideals and reality." The Witch King still had doubts.  "Even if the conflict of ideas eventually leads to them turning against each other, I'm afraid it won't be within a few decades."

¡°But it¡¯s not difficult for us to speed up the process.¡± Camila said.  "At least it prevents those two people from joining forces - which is the worst case scenario."

"Even if everything you said comes truethen what about the black soul stone? That thing is now enshrined in the First Inner Temple of Athas, and is used by countless psykers, fanatics, and people from all over the multiverse.  Pilgrim protects this. Without it, we still can't seal the Prime Warlock," Malik pointed out.

"Don't worry, we have a strong potential ally in Atas." Camilla said confidently.  "No one knows their existence except me We will set up a trap in Atas and seize the black soul stone easily."

    "This is quite exciting."¡ª¡ª

Mohadi chose to leave immediately and declined Ellern¡¯s invitation.  The Witch King Dlegos did not adopt a hostile attitude. It may be that it is not sure whether it is true or false, or it may be that the Witch King ran back to bring reinforcements.  In either case, there is no good in remaining in this world.

"If you insist on leaving, then do whatever you want." Carly Jean said to the psychic.  "But since you need a captain to help you pilot the magic ship, then I can help you."

"You killed my last captain, so this can't be called help, it can only be called compensation." Muhadi raised his eyebrows and said.

"Believe me, this is definitely a help. And the skills of the new captain are no less than those of the old captain, or they are exactly the same - I made that Simon Havarian an undead, you will find  This way he will be much easier to use." said the female mage and psychic.  "Also, we know that you were assassinated by a Face Dancer assassin not long ago. There is one of our sisters who can help you."

"I might think about it." Muhadi nodded casually.

¡°Her name is Khadijah, you can find her in the city of Tire.¡±
