Volume 7: Swordsman Chapter 12: San Gong

Outside the town, there is a small forest.

The midsummer wind, carrying a hot breath, became cooler after passing through the shade of the trees.  In the cool breeze, the leaves made a rustling sound as they swayed, and the grass also danced with the wind.  The summer wind came in waves and soon stopped.  Xiaocao stood up straight, and the sound of the leaves gradually stopped.  At this time, the figure of the old monk appeared beside a very large banyan tree.

He stood quietly by the tree, facing the direction of the road, as if waiting for something, motionless, as if his heart was as calm as water.

After tea time, Yue Buqun and others caught up with them. They had already surpassed countless masters in the world, but the old monk's seemingly slow but actually fast movements still kept them out of reach. At this time, they were able to rush here and saw  The old monk also knew that he was staying for something and did not dare to disturb him. The four of them stood at a distance.

The old monk turned his head and "looked" at the four people, then continued to turn around, facing the direction of the road.  Neither chased them away nor said anything.

He quietly felt the changes in the sunshine, and sighed secretly in his heart, thinking of that year, this day, and this hour.  Even the place was the same, but at that time, it was hard to say how good his martial arts was.

The girl¡¯s eyes were like his sister, so when he took action, even though he knew he would die, he had no regrets.

He was forty years old that year, and in that battle, he lost his eye.

The old monk stared straight into the distance.  Time passed little by little, and the shadows left by the trees on the ground changed little by little.  The old monk knew that time passed and she did not come.

    He sighed, feeling relieved.

He once thought that he would not suffer from the pain of love, but when he broke through the Arhat Formation, the first thing he thought of was this place.  He thought he would never come, but he came anyway.

When he first came here, the girl didn't appear. At that time, just like now, he seemed to have let go of an invisible burden, but he felt unspeakable regret in his heart.  From then on, he came every year. He knew that the girl had lied to him. She would never go to the appointment. Maybe she forgot, maybe she just talked casually, but every time he came here, he would not feel love in his heart.  The suffering was made even more peaceful because of this unreal feeling.

But this time it was different. The old monk turned around, put his already somewhat old hands on the trunk of the banyan tree, and stroked it gently.  This tree is very old, and the lines on the trunk seem to come from the same root as the old man's hands.  The old man felt the vicissitudes of this tree and thought that perhaps this was the last time he came here.

So, unlike any other time in the past, he hoped that she would appear this time.

But like every time before, she still didn't show up.

The sky was getting dark. After a long time, the old monk removed his hand from the tree, knowing that it was time to say goodbye.  But at this time, I remembered the sound of horse hooves.

The old monk¡¯s ears twitched and he turned his head to look over.  Yue Buqun and others also followed the call. They all guessed that the old monk was waiting for someone, so they were very curious about who could make him wait so patiently.  The man drove his horse to a stop on the side of the road, tied the horse casually to a tree on the side of the road, and walked over here.  Everyone showed a look of disappointment. A young man came, dressed in bright clothes, riding a horse, and carrying a sword, but his steps were frivolous. He was a playboy.  The young man came over and saw the old monk standing motionless by the tree. He was also very puzzled. He was stunned for a few seconds and called out: "Master?"

The old monk nodded and said, "The donor is polite."

The young man scratched his head and said, "Please give way. It's unlucky for you to stand here."

The old monk smiled, and without asking why it was unlucky, he said, "Okay." Then he walked slowly towards the main road. This karma was over, and he was leaving.

The young man looked at him strangely for a while, shook his head, and thought to himself: "Weird." He squatted on his bed and unpacked the baggage he had brought with him.  When the old monk heard the sound, his heart moved, he stopped and turned around.

The young man took out the things in the bag one by one, but they were some fruits. He placed the fruits one by one next to the stone tablet in front of him, arranged them neatly, and then he breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Auntie, don't blame me.  Ah, I was originally here at noon, but those guys said that a god came to the town and took me to see it. But no one saw it, and they dragged me to the casino again I was wrong, aunt, don't entrust me with dreams.  Dad, he dreams of you hitting me just once. It doesn¡¯t make sense, I¡¯ve never seen you before" The young man was talking nonchalantly, and suddenly he looked up and found the old monk squatting next to him with a complicated look on his face.  , and gently touched the words on the tablet with his hand.

The young man was disturbed by the old monk¡¯s strange behaviorHe jumped a little and stammered: "You, what are you doing?"

The old monk did not answer him, but kept moving his hands, but his body was obviously trembling.

He muttered softly: "How could it be? How could there be a stone tablet here? It's impossible, I've never seen it before!"

The young man was dumbfounded. He was a blind man and said that he didn¡¯t see it. Of course you couldn¡¯t see it Yue Buqun and the other four people in the distance were also surprised and slowly came closer.

The old monk stretched out his hand, starting from the top of the stone tablet, word by word, touching the stone tablet that had never appeared in his "eyes", and finally stopped at the end of the stone tablet. His expression was dull, and his hands were  But her lips trembled a little, and after a while she turned her head and asked, "How did she die?"

The young man swallowed his saliva and said: "No, I don't know. I heard that he seemed to have been poisoned and died." After he finished speaking, he found that the old monk had fallen into deep thought. This strange old monk, coupled with the gradually darkening  The weather made the young man very nervous. Everything in front of him was like what the old man said was taboo in the cemetery.  The young man looked at the old monk nervously. Seeing that he didn't speak, he slowly took a few steps back. Seeing no reaction from him, he turned around and ran wildly to find his horse.  After a while, the sound of horse hooves sounded and soon faded away.

The old monk raised his head and looked in the direction where the young man left. That day, people from the Shaolin Temple came over and rescued him, who was already very toxic at the time.  When he was in a coma due to poisoning, he had a beautiful dream for the first time in his life. He dreamed that the girl he rescued kept kissing his cheek.  The most beautiful thing of all.  But when he woke up, he could no longer see anything due to the poisonous invasion.

With trembling hands, he held both sides of the stone tablet, as if holding the girl's cheek, and a line of dirty tears fell down.

"It turns out that I can't really see How could I be delusional? I can really see. I can't see your heart. What I see is just the ** in a dream." The old monk trembled.  , "If you can't even see the true heart, what's the use of such 'eyes'?" After he said this, he burst into tears and his whole body started to tremble.

At this time, Yue Buqun and four others came behind the old monk and saw this figure who was simply a god in their eyes, crying and extremely weak.  Yue Buqun and Mr. Mo Da quietly took a step back.  Juefei was silent for a moment, then stepped forward and clasped his hands together and said: "Form is empty, thoughts are empty, actions are empty, feelings are empty, consciousness is empty, everything is empty. The body of this female donor perished due to fate, but she has already started another journey of life.  Your Majesty, you don¡¯t need to be too sad, let alone be trapped by emotion to the point of ignorance.¡±

The old monk lowered his head, and it took a long time to gradually calm down. He was silent for a long time, and then he said: "Jue Fei, Lao Na's Dharma name indicates it."

When Jue Fei Jue Xing heard the old monk claiming his identity, they all hurriedly knelt on the ground and said happily: "Uncle Master."

The old monk still lowered his head and said, "I have something to tell you to do."

Jue Fei said: "Master, uncle, please tell me."

The old monk took out a book from his arms. It was old-fashioned and seemed to be an antique.  The old monk handed the book forward, and Jue Fei quickly stepped forward to take it.

"Juefei, I took this Shurangama Sutra out of the Sutra Pavilion and kept it on me for decades. Now I am old and frail, and the separation of the five aggregates is approaching. Can you help me?  I will take this sutra back to the temple." The old monk paused for a while, and then said, "Unfortunately, when I was in Shaolin, I was dull and could not gain anything from practicing meditation every day. If I had recognized my stupidity early and devoted myself to reading the sutra, I might be able to  Be enlightened soon.¡±

Jue Fei said in a trembling voice: "Uncle Master, aren't you going back to Shaolin Temple?"

The old monk nodded slightly and said, "I won't go to Shaolin Temple."

Jue Xing said in a low voice: "Uncle Master, you have great martial arts skills. If you are willing to take action, with the Arhat Formation, not to mention blocking Dongfang Bubai, even if you keep him, it may not be impossible. But if you are not willing to take action, I'm afraid  Shaolin will do a lot of damage."

The old monk was silent for a moment, then suddenly clasped his hands together and recited a sutra softly in his mouth. The sound was difficult to discern at first, but the four people listened carefully and gradually heard the sutra he recited: "If you can see with your eyes, you are in the room. The door.  If you can see it, then you are dead. You still have eyes. You should all be able to see things. If you can see things, why is it called death? Ananda, and you have awakened the mind that can know. If there must be a body, it will be one body.  There are many bodies. Now it is in your body. It is the whole body. It is not the whole body. If it is one body, then when you touch a limb with your hand, the limbs should feel. If you feel it, the touch should not be there. If there is something there.  . Then you are one body. You cannot become one. If you have many bodies, you will become many people. What body is you? If it is all over the body, it is the same as before. If it is not all over, when you touch the head, also touch its feet. The head.  You should be aware of it. You should be ignorant. Now you are not like that. That's why. You should know that wherever you are, your heart will be there. There is no place"

What he recited was a passage from the Surangama Sutra. Don¡¯t say that it is a matter of awakening but not of enlightenment. Even Yue Buqun is not the same.Once upon a time, after reading this sutra, the old monk recited a passage. Everyone thought about the starting point, and the sound of chanting in their ears gradually disappeared and became difficult to hear.

The old monk gradually stopped speaking and asked, "Juefei, what did you feel when you read this paragraph?"

Jue Fei said: "There is nothing outside the heart."

The old monk praised: "Very good." He lowered his head, and everyone couldn't see his expression clearly. They only heard him say again, "Are you okay?"

Jue Xing thought for a while and said: "The horizon is the consciousness of the eye, there is no difference at all."

The old monk said again: "Good."

He still lowered his head, as if he was thinking about it, and suddenly said: "Are Master Mo and Master Yue still there?"

Hearing this, Yue Buqun and Mo Da took a step forward and said, "Master." They ignored it, feeling a little confused and a little strange. The old monk's current state seemed very different from when he was in the inn in the afternoon.  .

The old monk said in a calm voice: "It seems that the two masters are also going to Shaolin Temple?"

    Yue Buqun said: "Not bad."

The old monk said: "Then I would like to thank the two masters for their help."

Yue Buqun laughed and said: "To be honest, my two disciples are both in the Shaolin Temple at this time, and one of them has received life-saving grace from Shaolin. No matter what, Yue will be able to meet Dongfang Invincible.  "

The old monk nodded and said: "Very good. Then, please ask the two masters to answer the question that I just asked."

The two of them were surprised, and Yue Buqun said: "This"

The old monk smiled and said: "I don't dare to embarrass the two masters. If you don't want to answer, that's fine."

Mo laughed and said: "Master, where did you come from? It's just that Mo Da has been in the market for decades, has never read, knows nothing about Buddhism, and dare not make random comments."

The old monk said: "Master Mo, there is no need to be polite. If Buddhism is far away from the market, what is the use of it?" He paused and asked Yue Buqun, "I wonder if Mr. Yue would be willing to give me some advice."

Yue Buqun said: "How dare you give me some advice? I'll tell you the truth. Yue once had the honor to listen to an eminent monk's debate in the lecture hall. The true Buddhist philosophy is so profound that it is beyond Yue's ability to fathom."

But the old monk smiled and said, "Then Mr. Yue must have something to teach me."

Yue Buqun said: "Yue has little talent and little knowledge. I just realized that Xingjue is not what the two masters said. It is already a hundred times better than what I thought in my heart. However," he paused and saw the smile on the old monk's face became brighter and he raised his brows.  He said, "It's interesting to say that the evil disciple Tang Jinlou was once seriously poisoned, and later Master Fangzheng gave him lectures for ten days." When the old monk heard the word "Fangzheng", his expression changed.  Yue Buqun added: "When he came out of seclusion, Yue asked him to take the medicine prepared by Shaolin, but he refused."

The old monk raised his brows slightly, but before he spoke, Mo laughed and said, "There are other things like this. Since the medicine is prepared for detoxification, how can the toxicity be eliminated without taking the medicine?"

Yue Buqun said: "Tang Jinlou once said: 'It is not the power of medicine and stones to cure diseases and save people. If medicine and stones can save people, the deceased can also be cured if they are covered with gold wounds. Now that the poison in my heart has been purified and the demons in my heart are dead, there is no need.  Medicine and stone can heal naturally.'" After he said this, Mo Da, Jue Fei, Jue Xing and others fell into deep thought, but the old monk's old face showed a deep smile. Yue Buqun bowed and said, "Yue  I am stupid, I just feel that what the scoundrel said is slightly related to what the master said. Although I want to go far, I should ask the master for advice."

The old monk smiled and said: "If my prediction is correct, this Tang Shaoxia must be one of the Huashan disciples in Shaolin Temple."

    Yue Buqun said: "Not bad."

"Okay, okay," the old monk said repeatedly, stretched out his hand, and took out a thin piece of cloth from his arms, saying, "Sure enough, today is the time when cause and effect reciprocate. Mr. Yue, on this piece of cloth, I have written down  What you have learned over the years, please give it to your disciple."

Yue Buqun, Mo Da, and even Jue Fei and Jue Xing were all surprised. They had vaguely thought that this piece of cloth might have recorded the old monk's martial arts skills throughout his life, but they didn't expect that he would hand it over to a man who had nothing to do with the Shaolin Temple.  people.  Yue Buqun was so stunned that he forgot to pick him up. The old monk waited for a while but didn't see him coming, so he said, "Please."

Yue Buqun looked at him and saw the old monk holding the silk cloth in his hand and slowly raising his head towards Jue Fei in front of him. Everyone was still shocked and wondering why he gave Yue Buqun this silk cloth. When they saw  When he saw the old monk's face, he was shocked.  When I saw him before, although he was old, his face was ruddy and wrinkle-free. However, now, his face was like the big banyan tree behind him, full of vicissitudes of time.  What frightened them even more was that the pair of blind eyes that seemed to be able to see through everything were now really no longer able to emit any light. Just one glance, and the four of them knew that the old monk at this moment,  Already a truly blind person.  Yue Buqun was shocked and took the silk cloth from the old monk's hand in a daze.

? ?Fei stared at the old monk's withered face and said tremblingly: "Uncle Master, you, your eyes"

The old monk smiled slightly and said: "In the past, I relied on my martial arts and thought I could see all things. Unfortunately, everything I saw was an illusion, and only my true feelings could not be revealed. Today I finally see the person I love, and from now on I am determined to have great compassion.  The heart has begun to emerge. I want to practice here and resolve this karma." He also said, "Everything in the world has a cause and effect. You are involved in it, so don't worry too much. After you go to Shaolin, don't worry about the disasters in Shaolin, and don't be too worried about it.  I am sad about the number of life and death. I hope that when you act, just remember the four words 'no fear, no regrets'. I can't help anymore, so you can go ahead."

Hearing this, Jue Fei burst into tears and pulled Jue Xing to kowtow three times. Yue Buqun and Mr. Mo Da also sincerely bowed.  After the four people saluted, they left under the smile of the blind old monk and headed to Shaolin Temple overnight.
