The Chinese Expeditionary Force Armored Corps and the 201st Division of the Youth Army advanced towards Kaoling and Xin'an. The Youth Army attacked from the front, attracting the attention of the Japanese army, while the Armored Corps detoured along the coastline towards Meidi and Xin'an, approaching Saigon.  -< >./-< >./

Three brigades of the Youth Army took the attached light tanks as the forerunners and took cars along the road from Saigon to Long Chuan to launch attacks on Meidi and Xin'an.  The 601st, 602nd, and 603rd Brigades of the Youth Army lined up in a row, broke through the Japanese outpost in Medi, and approached Medi.

The 104th Division of the Japanese Army stationed a regiment in Medi and controlled the city of Medi and its surroundings.  The three brigades of the Youth Army launched an attack on My Di from three directions. After the Youth Army, the Armored Corps directly detoured from the flank of My Di, successfully captured the town of Egon, and rushed towards Saigon along the coastline.

The artillery fire of Chinese tanks violently bombarded the Japanese army, and the Japanese position was a sea of ??fire.  The 603rd Brigade quickly deployed and attacked Midi from the front. The two brigades of the Youth Army that followed abandoned their cars and walked lightly from the left side of Midi to bypass the Miki defense line and storm the Japanese Xin'an defense line.

Only then did the Japanese Lieutenant General Dohashi Yuichi understand that the Armored Corps and the Youth Army of the Chinese Expeditionary Force, which had detoured from the high mountains, were the units responsible for the main attack mission.  The two armies of the Chinese Expeditionary Force bypassed the defense line from Meidi and attacked the Japanese army's flanks and rear, one on the left and the other on the right.  The battle plan originally drawn up by Lieutenant General Dohashi must be changed immediately. The Lieutenant General Commander made an emergency adjustment and ordered the main Japanese forces in Xining and Tumulong to turn around and go south to attack Xin'an.  The 104th Division of Xin'an held its position and must hold the Chinese Army in place.

A regiment of Japanese troops from Midi.  Relying on the strong fortifications in the city and surrounding areas, they resisted stubbornly.  The three infantry regiments of the 603rd Brigade surrounded the U.S. Japanese army and concentrated all artillery fire.  The artillery units, including the 601st and 602nd brigades that stayed in place, aimed at the Japanese positions and bombarded them fiercely.

The whistling shells, trailing white smoke, fell like raindrops on the Japanese positions.  The huge explosion shook the ground, and the strong shock wave arrogantly knocked down and shattered trees, fortifications, and human bodies within the area.  Many Japanese soldiers on the position were washed away by the shock wave of the artillery shells.  The clothes on his body were torn to pieces.

The Japanese soldiers hid in artillery holes and foxholes one after another. The artillery fire of the Chinese Expeditionary Force was too fierce, and many smaller foxholes and artillery holes were collapsed.  All the Japanese inside were buried in the soil.

After more than 40 minutes of shelling, before the Japanese soldiers recovered, someone heard the sound of tank engines. Gradually, the ground under the Japanese soldiers' feet continued to tremble.  The Japanese soldiers were horrified to find the gray figure of the Xiafei tank of the Chinese Expeditionary Force.

Having fought against the Japanese many times, I have roughly figured out the characteristics of the Japanese¡¯s defense. The Chinese Expeditionary Force is basically equipped with a large number of steel plates. The length of this steel plate is slightly larger than the width of the Japanese¡¯s outer trench.  The steel plates form a bridge, and the tanks can cross the Japanese trenches effortlessly.

When the gray steel fortress slowly climbed up to the Japanese position.  The tank's on-board machine gun kept firing in all directions, and the tank gun almost directly aimed at the Japanese fortifications and fired.  The Japanese soldier's nerves collapsed.  A large number of soldiers abandoned their positions and withdrew to the rear defense line.  With the cooperation of tanks, the Chinese infantry quickly advanced forward, broke through the Japanese defense lines one after another, and attacked the urban area of ??Meidi.

Xin'an, Lieutenant General Hammoto Kisaburo, commander of the Japanese 104th Division, deployed the two regiments in his hands outside Xin'an, leaving only a small number of troops in the city. His tactic was to fight with the Chinese troops on the outer defense line.  Try to keep your troops as mobile as possible.

The 601st and 602nd Brigades of the Youth Army only carry light equipment and only mortars as artillery. All heavy artillery is left in Meidi and is temporarily kept by the 603rd Brigade.  The troops of the two brigades lined up and faced off against the Japanese troops head-on, launching a strong attack.

The main force of the Japanese troops on the front lines of Xining and Tumulong had just been dispatched. The Second Group Army, which had been paying close attention to the movements of the Japanese troops, under the command of General Chen Mingren, suddenly launched a rapid and violent attack on the Japanese troops in front of them.  The 6th Army, 71st Army, and 20th Army attacked across the board and broke through the Japanese defense line in one fell swoop.

The 133rd Division of the 20th Army rushed to the front. One division separated from the main force of the corps and pursued the Japanese army.  Lieutenant General Dohashi Yugi stared at the blue arrow representing the Chinese Army on the map. A blue arrow on the western front penetrated the Japanese defense line for more than 40 miles and was more than 60 miles away from the Chinese Army on both wings.

The commander looked at the arrow and felt angry, "Baga! The commander of this China force underestimated the imperial army and dared to go deep alone." His fingers traced on the map, this Chinese army  The team is a day's journey from the surrounding Chinese team. A lot can be done within a day's journey.

Lieutenant General Dohashi Yongyi's little eyes were chattering around, and a bold idea suddenly came to him, "Encircle and destroy this Chinese army!" Thinking of this, the Lieutenant General felt a burning sensation in his body, and he became inexplicably excited.

Lieutenant General Tohashi Yongyi ordered the 92nd Division to retreat from the right side, the 55th Division to the left side, and the 21st Division to hold the front line of Tulongmu to withstand the advance of the 133rd Division.Attack, wait for the Japanese troops on both wings to be in place, and encircle the 133rd Division of the Chinese Army together.

The various departments of the Japanese army deployed in accordance with the orders of Lieutenant General Dohashi.  The 133rd Division, led by commander Yang Hanlie, charged all the way to Tulongmu.  The three regiments of the 133rd Division advanced in three parallel lines outside Tulongmu.

The scouts received intelligence and found a large number of Japanese troops on both wings of the division, and they retreated towards Tulong Mot.  After receiving the report, Commander Yang Hanlie suddenly remembered General Xue Yue's Tianlu tactics. In the battle of Changsha, General Xue Yue retreated in a counter-eight pattern with two wings, using Changsha as the core to gather and annihilate the Japanese army.

Commander Yang Hanlie immediately handed over to the Chief of Staff, "Chief of Staff, how far are we from our army and even the group army?"

The chief of staff thought calmly and replied: "Master, the distance between us and the main force of the army is 90 miles. The distance between the group army is about 100 miles."

Yang Hanlie chuckled, "So, we are at least one day away from the main force."

The chief of staff reminded the division commander worriedly, "Yes, division commander, we rushed too fast. Do you think we should suspend the attack?"

Yang Hanlie nodded, "The scouts just reported that we have found a large number of Japanese troops on both wings and are retreating. Currently, in the direction of Thu Dung Mok, the Japanese 21st Division is holding on. It looks like the little devils are going to make our dumplings!"

The chief of staff nodded, "Master, this is very likely. Our Sichuan Army is a miscellaneous army. In the eyes of the Japanese, our troops are simply beggars. Lieutenant General Dohashi Yongyi probably wants to take action on our Sichuan Army."

Yang Hanlie nodded in agreement, "Damn it, you kid got the wrong person. The current Sichuan Army is no longer the Sichuan Army of the Shanghai Anti-Japanese War. Our equipment is not even comparable to that of the Central Army in China. Besides, the commander of the group army, General Chen Mingren, treats the troops equally."  , no distinction between central government and miscellaneous brands.¡±

The chief of staff cautiously suggested, "Master, it's better to be cautious. We are the Sichuan Army, and Hui Gong only has this little wealth. If we are surrounded and Laozi Ge's Central Army doesn't care, then we will lose everything."

Yang Hanlie glared at him, "I'm a crow's mouth. Even if Chen Mingren doesn't care about us, Hanping can still care about us? Just in time, I'll use a trick for the little Japs. We stick to the inside and hold back three Japanese divisions, the main force of the group army."  Surround the Japanese soldiers on the outside in one fell swoop, and do it all at once."

Knowing the relationship between Yue Hanping and Yang Hanlie, the chief of staff gave a wry smile and said, "Master, Yue Hanping is no longer a member of the Sichuan Army. He is now the commander of the expeditionary force. I am afraid he has many things he cannot control."

Yang Hanlie sighed, "Hanxiu is my sister, and Yue Hanping is my brother-in-law. I believe in Hanping's character. Okay, quickly find me a place where I can fight a defensive battle, and concentrate the entire division's troops to let the Japanese surround me."  Let¡¯s see if the little devil¡¯s teeth are tough or if I¡¯m tough-boned.¡±

Teacher Yang Hanlie carefully selected and decided to go to a mountain 40 miles away from Tulongmok, which the locals called Niuduling.  The terrain of the mountain range is dangerous, 3 miles away from the highway. If we stand here, we can not only threaten Thu Dau Mok and Sai Kung, but also rely on the danger to hold on without losing the chance of fighting.

The three regiments of the 133rd Division reduced their forces to Niuduling, and at the same time telegraphed Army Commander Yang Hanyu and Expeditionary Force Commander Yue Hanping to explain the gist of the battle.  Yang Hanyu received the telegram and slapped the table, "Han Lie is so bold and courageous. He is worthy of being a general of the Yang family. He immediately ordered the 134th Division and the newly formed 49th Division to speed up their march and reinforce the 133rd Division. Yang Hanyu immediately telegraphed  Commander Chen Mingren, please order Commander Chen to order the troops of the group army to launch an attack on the perimeter."

General Chen Mingren received a telegram from Commander Yang Hanyu. The upright Hunan man patted the telegram happily and said, "This is the courage of the Chinese people. Good, good. A division commander can make a decisive decision and seize the opportunity."

Chen Mingren turned around and said hello to the chief of staff, "Come, take a look at Yang Hanyu's telegram." After he handed over the telegram, the chief of staff looked at the telegram and said, "Yang Hanlie is so brave and dares to come to the center to bloom. Commander, I think this battle will be successful.  Gotta fight."

Chen Mingren nodded, "That's what I think. Okay, you immediately give the order. The 6th Army attacks Niudu Ridge from the north, the 71st Army attacks from the middle, and the 20th Army attacks from the south. It's best to rush in again."  A division to enhance the strength and combat effectiveness of the defenders.¡±

When Chen Mingren gave the order, he immediately reported the battle deployment to Yue Hanping. After receiving Yang Hanlie's telegram, Yue Hanping could not directly bypass Chen Mingren's command and wait for Chen Mingren's telegram. He believed that Chen Mingren was not the kind of general who did not understand the general situation.  Sure enough, Chen Mingren's telegram was soon delivered to him.

Yue Hanping took a look at Chen Mingren's battle plan, and immediately called back, firmly agreeing with Chen Mingren's determination to encircle and annihilate three Japanese divisions on the Tulongmu front line.  (To be continued.
