Roosevelt led the U.S. North Atlantic Fleet all the way south, heading towards Hawaii. This time Roosevelt went to sea with a determination to win to find the Chinese Pacific Fleet for the main decisive battle.  %%()

In the vast ocean, Roosevelt stood high-spirited on the deck of the flagship USS Connecticut, his clothes fluttering, and the telescope in his hand kept scanning the blue sky and blue sea.

Behind him, a huge fleet followed closely in a cruising formation. The American officers and soldiers in the fleet were all in high spirits and concentrated on sticking to their respective posts. Once Roosevelt's order was issued, they would be ready in the shortest time.  Enter their respective combat positions within the time limit and participate in naval battles.

"Where are we now?" Roosevelt asked.

"Reporting to the Minister, we have now reached the sea near Hawaii, and are less than fifty nautical miles away from Hawaii." Major General Marshall replied.

"Let the fleet be on alert. The activity range of the Chinese Pacific Fleet is near here, and we are very likely to encounter the Chinese patrol fleet. Immediately dispatch a reconnaissance team to conduct enemy reconnaissance fifteen nautical miles in front of our formation.  "Roosevelt ordered, putting down the telescope.

"Yes, Secretary!" Marshall slowly stepped back and then entered the bridge command room of the USS Connecticut. Soon after, the flag carrier of the USS Connecticut waved the flag and issued Roosevelt's order.

Five minutes later, a reconnaissance team consisting of three light cruisers and two destroyers sped out from the main formation of the U.S. North Atlantic Fleet, sailed to the front of the main formation, and finally disappeared under the vast horizon.

An hour later, news of the reconnaissance team immediately came from the Connecticut bridge command room. Marshall ran out of the bridge command room and came to Roosevelt's side on the deck, with a face full of joy: "Minister, reconnaissance team.  The detachment discovered traces of the Chinese Pacific Fleet!"

"Okay!" Roosevelt was overjoyed. He didn't expect to find the Chinese Pacific Fleet when he went to sea to look for enemies for the first time.  "Let me investigate again immediately to find out if it is the main force of the Chinese Pacific Fleet."

"Yes, Minister!" Major General Marshall responded.

    ¡¡¡¡

"Minister, it is not the main force of the Chinese Pacific Fleet, but one of their patrol fleets!" Soon, the reconnaissance team performing reconnaissance missions in the waters ahead reported intelligence.

"How many battleships are there?" Roosevelt asked with a frown. It was not the main fleet but a Chinese reconnaissance squadron?  If this reconnaissance team is wiped out, it is very likely that the enemy will be alerted and Tang Jian will be prepared.

However, if this reconnaissance team is completely wiped out, the strength of the Chinese Pacific Fleet can be greatly weakened.

"There are two high-speed dreadnoughts from the Chinese Pacific Fleet, one is called Yongchang and the other is called Tianchang. The others are light cruisers, and their speed exceeds 22 knots." Major General Marshall replied.

Hear this.  Roosevelt was in a complicated mood. This Tang Jian was indeed not simple. He knew that the U.S. North Atlantic Fleet had arrived in San Francisco and was likely to raid Pearl Harbor, so he sent all these ships that were known for their speed.  Once they encounter the US North Atlantic Fleet, they can quickly escape and inform Tang Jian.

Roosevelt thought again and again and said: "Let the Chinese reconnaissance fleet go, and we will sail directly to Pearl Harbor!"

Marshall advised: "But, your Excellency, the Minister, according to the intelligence office in Hawaii, Chinese President Tang Jian has been personally patrolling the sea on the Yongchang recently. Therefore, Tang Jian is very likely to be on the Yongchang of the Chinese battlefield fleet in front."  On board."

    Roosevelt asked: "Are you sure?"

Marshall shook his head: "I'm not sure, but the intelligence from Hawaii shows that Tang Jian was on board six of the ten times the Yongchang went to sea. In other words, there is a 100% chance that we will encounter Tang Jian.  Sixty out of ten.¡±

Sixty percent?  When Roosevelt heard this, his heart moved. Roosevelt was originally an adventurist. In his life creed, every success was hidden in danger. The higher the risk, the more benefits he would get from success.

"It was Roosevelt's long-cherished wish to have a naval battle face to face with Tang Jian, and it was his dream wish to be able to kill Tang Jian with his own hands.

Even at the risk of alerting the enemy, Roosevelt would not give up this golden opportunity. If Tang Jian was really on the Yongchang, then this battle would be settled once and for all. Without Tang Jian, the Chinese Pacific Fleet would be leaderless and simply incompetent.  For fear.

After all the calculations, Roosevelt is sure to make a profit from this transaction.

¡°Order the reconnaissance squadron to seize the Chinese Pacific Fleet¡¯s reconnaissance fleet, and order the Third Squadron ¡®ConnudyThe USS Minnesota, the USS Maine, the USS Maine, and the USS Missouri sailed out from the left wing of the formation to outflank the Chinese Pacific Fleet's reconnaissance fleet, the Fourth Squadron "Erie"  The North class Alabama, Illinois, and Killshark class Kentucky and Killshark sailed out from the right wing of the formation, outflanking the Chinese Pacific Fleet reconnaissance fleet.  Right wing!  Be sure not to let this fleet escape. Tang Jian is very likely to be on it.  ". Roosevelt ordered.

"First Squadron 'Connecticut', 'Kansas', 'Vermont', 'Louisiana'; Second Squadron 'Virginia' class 'Virginia', 'Georgia'  ' blocked the Chinese Pacific Fleet squadron from the rear, don't let them break out, take action immediately!" Roosevelt began to issue various orders in an orderly manner.

After receiving Roosevelt's order, the large and luxurious U.S. North Atlantic Fleet immediately split into three. The three squadrons sailed away from three different directions, preparing to surround the Chinese Pacific Fleet's reconnaissance fleet and annihilate them.  .

China Pacific Fleet reconnaissance fleet, bridge command room of flagship Yongchang.

"President, the scout squadron of the U.S. North Atlantic Fleet has been discovered at ten o'clock on our left front!" In the bridge command room, news came from the starboard lookout.

"President, I didn't expect that the U.S. North Atlantic Fleet would arrive very quickly. It seems that they are eager to find our main fleet for a decisive battle!" Cheng Biguang said from one side.

Tang Jian put down the telescope and said with a smile: "It is indeed a little faster than I expected, but it is just a little faster. Since we have lost the opportunity, let's make a preemptive strike."

"Inform all ships to full starboard rudder and change course. Our goal is Midway Island!" Tang Jian ordered.

"President, didn't we just send Hawaii to Roosevelt without any defense?" Cheng Biguang asked puzzledly. Midway Island is located northwest of Hawaii. If the Chinese Pacific Fleet is concentrated on Midway Island, then only  The Hawaiian Army on the Hawaiian Islands was not enough to withstand the powerful naval guns of the U.S. North Atlantic Fleet.

Tang Jian shook his head and said: "Soldiers are deceitful. Roosevelt is a combination of caution and risk-taking. The more undefended the Hawaiian Islands are, the less he may dare to fight. After all, the North Atlantic Fleet is the foundation of the U.S. Navy. Fighting  It¡¯s over, and I guess he wouldn¡¯t dare to take the risk.¡±

"Reporting to the President, two fleets were spotted on our left and right flanks at the same time. Look at their flags. They are the squadrons of the U.S. North Atlantic Fleet!" Suddenly, two exclamations came from the port and starboard lookouts at the same time.

Tang Jian's mind was trembling, and he suddenly felt bad. He didn't expect to be surrounded by Roosevelt so quickly. This Roosevelt was really not a fuel-efficient lamp.

Tang Jian ran out of the bridge command room and came to the observation deck of the ship building. Sure enough, at the nine o'clock and four o'clock directions of the fleet, two fleets flying the American Stars and Stripes were speeding towards this direction.

Cheng Biguang said anxiously: "President, we have now penetrated into Roosevelt's pocket!"

Tang Jian said calmly: "Don't worry, the fastest speed of most American battleships is only 18 knots. Among them, the fastest speed of two dreadnoughts and Longwei-class battleships is only 20 knots. And here I am  The two high-speed dreadnoughts brought out at one time have speeds of more than 22 knots. As long as they are not completely surrounded by them, we can rush out! Order the fleet to speed up and turn, and we must not be surrounded by the U.S. North Atlantic Fleet."

Tang Jian's words had just finished when the main guns of the four battleships "Minnesota", "Ohio", "Maine" and "Missouri" of the Third Squadron of the U.S. North Atlantic Fleet in the direction of four o'clock opened fire at the same time.  I saw flashes of muzzle fire from the main guns on the four battleships, and then several loud noises suddenly sounded on the calm sea.  More than a dozen shells fell directly on the Yongchang where Tang Jian was located.

"Boom" A series of shocking explosions sounded on the sea near the Yongchang, setting off waves several feet high. Two of the shells were less than five meters away from the starboard side of the Yongchang. The huge explosion force shook the huge hull of the Yongchang.  The big one swayed violently in the waves.

Tang Jian was almost knocked down by the huge impact. If he hadn't grabbed the railing in time, he might have fallen to the ground.

At this time, the Chinese Pacific Fleet reconnaissance fleet had turned around and headed towards Midway Island.

Cheng Biguang supported Tang Jian and advised, "President, it's better to enter the bridge command room. It's too dangerous outside."

Tang Jian did not expect that Roosevelt would attack so sharply from the beginning. After being shocked, he hurried to the bridge command room and ordered the fleet to fire back immediately.

So, China Pacific Ship? The reconnaissance fleet fired back while firing at full speed, preparing to rush out of the encirclement that was about to be formed by the U.S. North Atlantic Fleet.

For a time, artillery fire roared from both sides, and you came and went. Smoke floated on the sea, and the waves were turbulent. From time to time, warships were hit by bullets and caught fire. However, these were only a very small number of warships. After all, the distance between the two sides was far, and they spent most of their time in the air.  Although the sound of the artillery bombardment was loud, the damage caused was very small.

PS: This one was posted in the early hours of yesterday morning. Sorry, it was too late. It was my friend¡¯s birthday and I came back drunk. There was a power outage early in the morning and I only received a call in the afternoon. There was another update from 1 to 2 in the morning. Now this one is to make up for last night¡¯s update.
