Volume Six: Gadgetzan Feels Grand Event Chapter 716: Battle of the Undercity - Part 2

"Brill?" Xie Feng's face changed slightly and he stopped charging.

Except for the northwest coast of Silverpine Forest, the only place near the Undercity that can carry out large-scale landings is the northern beach of Tirisfal.  If you land in the former, you only need to block the canyon between Tirisfal and Silverpine, but in the latter, it is completely flat from the beach to the Undercity!

Kael'thas and others realized that something was wrong. Stormwind City's military strength was not unlimited. The largest recent mobilization was only the second batch of the main force of the Northern Expedition.

That¡¯s at least fifty thousand alliance elites!  The army that can sweep across the entire Tirisfal may also include the Eastern and Western Plagues and even the Silverpine Forest.

The tribe has 50,000 people, which is good, but they are divided internally. The Forsaken are a patchwork of ragtag troops, most of which are second-line troops. The blood elves are mainly Farstrider rangers, who can only be considered useful.  The only ones who can truly fight are the Frostwolf Orcs.

Will Thrall let the Frostwolf fight hard?  No more Alterac Valley?  The Thunder Spear Dwarves haven't been beaten out yet.  After thinking about this, Xie Feng couldn't help but look at Varian. Sure enough, he dared to rush into the Undercity with hundreds of people without Jaina's company. It wasn't that he was out of his mind, but that he had something to rely on!

"Stop it, everyone!" Next to him, Kael'thas also figured out the link, and with a wave of his hand, the flame storm suddenly exploded in the center of the field!

The blazing flames were burning, forcing the Alliance and Horde warriors who were hedging to retreat and give up temporarily.

The hard stone floor could not withstand the bombardment of the flame storm and was cracked and broken. The corners of Sylvanas' mouth twitched as she watched.

Kael'thas did not stop and continued to keep the fire going to separate the two sides.  Although this only stops warriors like Varian and Windsor.  It had no effect on Thrall and Old Vol'jin, but they still stopped, turned their heads and waited for what Prince Kael'thas would say

What surprised Xie Feng was that Varian, who was originally furious, stopped happily.  His eyes are deep and reserved.

"Something's wrong!" Obviously Varian is not as impulsive and belligerent as he appears. Maybe this is just his disguise?

On the contrary, Thrall, who has always been committed to the peaceful coexistence of the Alliance and the Horde and worked hard to maintain the fragile relationship between the two parties, has obviously behaved very radically!

You must experience the true power of the tribe!  Is this what the hell the always kind and kind warchief should say?  Xie Feng recalled every speech Thrall had made in his memory. Except when facing absolutely evil forces such as the Burning Legion, Ahn'Qiraj, and the Scourge, Thrall always showed a peaceful image.  But now

You must know that the tribe is absolutely dominant in the current situation!  They could have forced Varian and others to retreat on their own, but Thrall chose to fight head-on without any hesitation.

Lonktarogar!  With the words "win or die" coming out, doesn't it obviously encourage the tribal warriors to fight to the death?  As for sending Varian back to Stormwind alive, that's even more of a joke.  If they really do this, will they have the nerve to continue to hang out in Azeroth if the Alliance doesn't massacre Stormwind City?

While he was thinking about it, Prince Kael'thas next to him had already stepped out of the crowd, with a solemn expression on his face: "Varian, do you really want to go to war with the tribe?"

"Karl, you forced me to do this!" Varian waved the king's swords with an angry and sad expression: "The existence of the Undercity has seriously threatened the safety of mankind, the Alliance, and even all the living! The blight potion can fall on Dusk  Winter Fortress, how can you guarantee that one day you won¡¯t fall into Stormwind City?¡±

"If the Forsaken are allowed to continue to exist, what's the point of the Northern Expedition even if it's a victory? Are the undead allowed to walk in Azeroth with integrity?"

Sylvanas stepped forward angrily and shouted angrily: "Humanity has done a lot of damage to the Forsaken by natural disasters. All we want is revenge!"

"Is your revenge just to wipe out all humans and natural disasters?" Varian said tit for tat, his eyes blazing with anger: "Sure enough, Putres's so-called betrayal is just an excuse you found for your evil behavior. He can betray today, but tomorrow?  It¡¯s Faranir¡¯s turn?¡±

As soon as these words came out, everyone in the tribe couldn't help but change their colors.  Including the blood elf generals and even Xie Feng were no exception.  Could it be that Sylvanas was secretly instigating it, or was she aware of Putreis' actions but not stopping him?  Even Xie Feng couldn't help but doubt it.  Although it was quickly suppressed.  but

"Don't make ridiculous excuses for your despicable behavior, Varian, no one here is a fool!" The atmosphere changed, but Varian's words were replaced by Sylvanas's explosion of energy arrows.  In the blink of an eye, he put it on the war bow: "Lordaeron has been destroyed long ago, and it is not your turn to rebuild it!"

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Out of pain, maybe because she was arrogant and unwilling to explain, Sylvanas directly raised all issues and put them in the open.

Thrall and Vol'jin also looked at each other again.Turning back to Varian, the blood elves supported Sylvanas without hesitation.

Everyone knows Varian's thoughts.  A wise leader will not sabotage the Northern Expedition just for personal grudges, even if his positions are different.

Sure enough, the king who revealed his idea showed no embarrassment or hesitation, and took advantage of the situation and swore loudly: "That's right! The rebuilding of Lordaeron is imperative!"

"This ancient kingdom should not be replaced by evil forces. This will be my lifelong wish. In the name of the Kingdom of Azeroth!"

Kael'thas sneered: "As expected, Varian, it makes no difference to you whether Putreis rebelled or not. All you want is an excuse."

"But you gave it to me!" The hawk king has no scruples. Although he seems domineering and brutal, he has won the fanatical support of the soldiers behind him.

After all, she is not doing it for herself, but for the entire human race and the Alliance!  Moreover, his aboveboard behavior and image make him even taller.

"The Undercity is my territory and no one will be allowed to invade it!" Sylvanas shouted flatly: "Abandon your unrealistic illusions, Varian!"

Ask, Faranir and other Forsaken generals, along with the Royal Knights and Royal Terror Guards, drew their weapons and stood behind the Queen without saying a word.

Seeing this, Varian sneered disdainfully: "The brave and fearless Stormwind Army will make my fantasy come true! The evil banshee."

Behind him, Marshal Windsor and Broll stepped forward neatly with hundreds of Lordaeron royal guards.  An indomitable momentum rushed towards him.

"Are you really going to provoke an endless war between the Horde and the Alliance? Varian, don't let your anger consume your mind!" Thrall's eyes flashed with fierce struggle, and there was even a trace of trembling and hesitation in his tone, which was far less than before.  So peaceful yet full of confidence.

Kael¡¯thas, Sylvanas, and even Varian didn¡¯t feel anything was wrong.  I just think Thrall is feeling helpless because of Varian's stubbornness and the upcoming large-scale conflict between the Alliance and Horde.  But Xie Feng, who had fought and befriended Sal many times, clearly felt something was wrong!

In the midst of doubts, Varian has already given an uncompromising answer: "Thall, I will do whatever it takes to regain Lordaeron!"

Sylvanas could no longer hold back her arrogant words. The bowstring trembled, and a violent arrow of darkness shot straight into Varian's eyebrows.

The king's swords were spread out in front of him, and the dull energy explosion only made him take a step back. Varian showed no weakness and stared at the queen.

The faces of the blood elf generals also changed, and they couldn't stand Varian's arrogance. Only Lor'themar stroked his beard, thoughtfully.

Kael'thas's anger had been aroused. He held his right hand emptyly, bright red flames jumping crazily in his palm, and sneered in a deep voice: "Alliance Northern Expedition? Do you really think they can defeat us? Varian, Quill  Salas is never afraid of a fight!¡±

As soon as he finished speaking, Sal suddenly interrupted: "That's enough, Karl, don't let anger control your will."

Turning to look at the human king: "Varian, get out of here! If you don't want your army to be buried under the Undercity."

No!  Sal's words made Xie Feng's heart beat fast, and he quickly stood up and added: "Humans, all grievances will be settled one by one after the Northern Expedition!"

"It's a pity that Varian didn't like him at all, so he ignored his words and stared at Thrall with gritted teeth.

The warchief waved the Doomhammer and shouted an order to the blood elf army surrounding the alliance's rear: "Let them leave!"

The Farstriders did not accept the order immediately. Halduron looked at Prince Kael'thas, waiting for his decision.

Although his anger could not be suppressed, Kael'thas still nodded slightly to indicate that a conflict at this time would definitely not be a good thing for the blood elves and the Forsaken.

Facing Thrall¡¯s calm and determined gaze, Varian took a deep look at him, suddenly sneered, and turned away without saying a word.

Hundreds of Lordaeron's royal guards, also led by Marshal Windsor, followed Varian while holding their breath, and left the elevator openly.

In the crowd, Luo Lin was wearing a robe and left without any resistance under the hidden threat of Valela's dark green dagger.

Wait until everyone in the alliance retreats.  Sylvanas immediately ordered the Forsaken to build fortifications and form a defense line in the ruins of Lordaeron.  Blood elves and orcs, led by Halduron and Drek'Thar, also entered the ruins of Lordaeron to help the Forsaken garrison.

Compared to the Alliance's Northern Expedition, the disadvantaged tribe could only be forced to defend, while Brill was abandoned and the personnel and materials inside were withdrawn to the Undercity.

Half an hourLater, while the tribe was actively defending, bad news came again from the north.  Varian did not stop advancing after he returned. Instead, the 60,000 Alliance army accelerated and headed towards Briar without any scruples!

"We can't wait any longer, Queen, we must bring back the Tarren Mill garrison and the Defilers!" Faranir rarely said in a solemn tone.

Aske looked ugly and shook his head: "It's too late! If the alliance launches an attack, it will be difficult for us"

Before he could finish speaking, Thrall and Old Vol'jin, who had just gone up to prepare their troops, walked in at the same time and interrupted: "Give the outermost line of defense to my children!"

Under the surprised gazes of the two Forsaken officers, Thrall said in a deep voice: "With the cooperation of the blood elf mage, we can at least delay the attack for a day and a night."

"I'm happy to oblige!" Kael'thas followed him into the Queen's Hall, followed by Aesas and Pasareon. Under Sylvanas's slightly expectant eyes, he nodded and said, "I have sent Luo  Therma and Alex return to Silvermoon City to mobilize their troops."

Looking at the north with a sneer: "The Alliance is not the only one preparing the second batch of expeditionary force! Before sunrise tomorrow at the latest, the Kingdom's Unicorn Legion and 40,000 Sunfury, Flame Blade, and Morning Front troops will land on the northern coast. I believe  Varian will make wise choices."

"I hope so!" Sylvanas was not so optimistic.  His eyes flickered and he didn't know what to say.

With everyone in the tribe either angry or anxious, the Alliance army marched straight in, unceremoniously toppling the ruins of Lordaeron and occupying Brill.

The lifeless town, full of Forsaken style, has become somewhat more vibrant with the arrival of human troops.  His Majesty the King's determination to regain Lordaeron has made his soldiers enthusiastic!  Most of the lower-level soldiers only know that they are sworn in with the Horde, but Lordaeron is the benefactor who selflessly helped the Kingdom of Azeroth and Stormwind City during the most difficult times. Not only did they not reject the fierce battle that may come next, but they also have no morale.  On the contrary, it is unprecedentedly high!

But when they were cheering and excited.  Varian, who was in the town mayor's room, was frowning and thinking hard, feeling a little lost.

The noise of the soldiers outside did not affect him, until the crisp knock on the door woke him up from his meditation

Pressure to suppress the obediently cooperative therapists Rowling, Brower and Valela walked in at the same time: "Varian, are you looking for her?"

The king nodded, holding the out-of-body sword in his left hand and turning it gently, looking at the master: "Blood Elf, you are familiar with Ms. Proudmoore!"

When mentioning Kevna, Luo Lin's eyes suddenly burst with green light, and the corners of her mouth were habitually raised: "Of course, King, I do not object to confrontation in person."

"Very good!" Varian didn't waste any time and went straight to the point: "I need you to tell her everything that happened in the Undercity today."

Next to him, Broll opened his mouth and looked at Varian in disbelief.  The army has pushed down the city. Are you looking for Jaina?

Rowling regained consciousness immediately, and her lecherous expression disappeared in the blink of an eye. She habitually raised her hand to support her chin, and looked at the hawk king in front of her: "I am impressed, His Majesty Varian Wrynn." In Broll  Er and Varela sat on the chair opposite Varian with surprised eyes.

Varian was not impressed by this and glanced at her with a hint of meaning: "It seems that I don't need to say more. You surprised me too, ma'am."

Soon, a ninth-level human wizard walked in, nodded to Varian, and silently cast a spell to guide a portal out.

Varian pushed a lion emblem over: "This is the fastest way to Dalaran. Although it is somewhat dangerous I wish you good luck, madam!"

Picking up the emblem, Luo Lin walked into the portal without hesitation. In the blink of an eye, she was swallowed up by the changing space and disappeared.

In Yangfan Port, Xie Feng and Lor'themar stood side by side on the tower beside the dock, watching the ships rushing on the sea.

The army is almost taking shape, but it is still difficult for the two of them to accept it.  Xie Feng couldn't help but turned around and asked, "Varian really dares to attack the Undercity?"

Lor'themar's brows were about to twist into a frown, a sharp light flashed in his one eye, and he hesitated for a long time: "If it were the former King of Storms, he would never do this. But now, we are facing the ghost wolf!  "

After a pause, he hit the guardrail in front of him with some reluctance: "The Northern Expedition will probably be ruined because of this!"

Xie Feng smiled bitterly and laughed at himself: "I have never missed Gianna as much as I do now. She is not useless~"

Varian came here alone or with a few hundred people.  Xie Feng definitely had the guts to keep him directly.

If you were buried in the sewer and died without any evidence,This can all be blamed on Varimathras. Even if the alliance is not in agreement, there will always be a warchief to support him!

But if you count the tens of thousands of alliance elites, there is something else to say.  He tried his best to prevent the blood elves and the Forsaken from confronting the Alliance. Even if a war was to begin, he would have to bring the three tribes of the Western Continent together to fight!  But now he is still forced to confront the alliance's elite.  If Varian gets hot-headed

With a shiver in his heart, Xie Feng did not dare to continue imagining: "Lor'themar, will the appearance of the army on the coast of Tirisfal directly trigger a war?"

The regent thought for a while, shook his head and said: "No. Although the alliance army is powerful, it only has 70,000 to 80,000 people at most." Pointing to the port below: "The first batch of reinforcements is 50,000. And more can be added one after another.  Transport thirty to forty thousand, and there are still fifty thousand troops in the Undercity, and Varian will not provoke a fight!"

Xie Feng nodded in agreement. Judging from today's performance, Varian is not a foolhardy fool.  But I always feel like something is wrong

Seeing that the army had been assembled, Xie Feng had no choice but to suppress his secret worries, bid farewell to Lor'themar, boarded the battleship, and set off with the utmost vigilance.

The elite troops originally prepared for the Northern Expedition changed their route to the southwest, driven by the dual power of magic and sails, and went down the wind.

After all, sea ships are no better than flying beasts. The sun has already set when they pass through the Land of Ghosts and begin to enter the coast of the Eastern Plague Land.  Night fell. Although it was somewhat dangerous, Xie Feng still ordered to rush through the night. After all, if Varian was ruthless, it would not be impossible to invade the Undercity overnight!

After a night of sailing and at the cost of three warships running aground, the squadron finally entered the northern waters of Tirisfal at dawn.

The Alliance Expeditionary Force fleet waiting here immediately discovered the arrival of the blood elves and sent warships to monitor them.

Xie Feng knew his own abilities and had no intention of fighting a naval battle with them. He quickly found a beach and forced the troops to land.  Fortunately, the alliance warships were only monitoring from a distance and had no intention of attacking.

Soon, the sky turned white in the distance.  Most of the blood elf army has also landed.  Just when Xie Feng had just lost a mouthful, a shocking shout and explosion suddenly came from the direction of the Dark City in the north!

"Is Varian crazy?" Xie Feng, as well as Sangunar and Mattis who were traveling with him, gasped at the same time.

The blood elf army that was landing was also a little overwhelmed and slightly panicked.  The Alliance warships not far away are also beginning to move

The three people quickly restrained the troops and asked them to speed up the landing.  Then they tidied up the troops and headed towards the Undercity.

But before the formation was completed, a plague bat fell from the sky. The Farstrider ranger knelt in front of Xie Feng and reported angrily: "General, the Frostwolf orcs suddenly attacked Brill in the early morning! Then the entire army retreated.  , blocking the valley leading to Silver Pine Forest."

Xie Feng¡¯s eyes went dark(To be continued)
