    Chapter 105 Gyeongju 1

The leader of the Killing Cow Clan has a surname of Tuoba and a given name of Xiong.

The Niu-killing tribe is one of the Dangxiang tribes, and the Dangxiang belongs to a branch of the Western Qiang. They originally lived in the upper reaches of the Yellow River in the Qingtang Dynasty. They took the tribe as their surname and formed the famous eight Dangxiang tribes, among which the Tuoba tribe was the most powerful.  Later, the Dangxiang people moved inland several times, including due to the defeat in the war against the Tang Dynasty and the rise of Tubo. The Dangxiang people spread out and now have hundreds of clans, large and small, with thousands of tribes in the big ones and no more than a hundred tribes in the small ones.

At the end of the Tang Dynasty, the Dangxiang people participated in the Tang court's suppression of Huang Chao's army. Tuoba Sigong, the leader of the Pingxia tribe, was named a Jiedu envoy for his meritorious service, and was given the title of Duke of Xia, and was given the surname Li.  This Tuoba Sigong was the ancestor of Li Yiyin, the governor of Xiazhou's Dingnan Army. Li took advantage of the fighting in the Central Plains vassal towns and had no time to go north to form a separatist force with Xiazhou as the center. It has become an unstoppable force.

However, apart from having a common ancestor, Tuoba Xiong of the Niu-Slaying Clan and Li Yiyin of Xiazhou have no contact with each other now.  Tuoba Xiong is twenty-seven years old this year, he is in his prime, and he is extremely shrewd. Hearing that the army was conquering his enemies, the Pheasant Tribe, Tuoba Xiong took a group of cattle and sheep to work for the army.

Tuoba Xiong took the initiative to come here to show his goodwill to the officers and soldiers. In addition to having a feud with the Pheasant Clan, he also had another motive. He wanted to get a share of the Pheasant Clan's destruction and occupy the Pheasant Clan's territory.  He sometimes thought that if all the party members could unite and end their vendetta, the world might be a different place.

Riding on horseback, Tuoba Xiong had no intention of looking at the scenery of the wilderness and mountains. He was thinking about what to do if he saw Zhe Congruan.  The last time the government troops gathered in Qingzhou was a long time ago in the memory of the Dangxiang people. Although this time it was due to the rebellion of the Pheasants tribe, for them, most of them were at peace with the Han government.  It is also a knife hanging over the head. Maybe after the Zhou army has wiped out the pheasant tribe, they will have their hands free to deal with themselves.

"This world is dominated by the jungle. Maybe Tuoba Xiong can create a great foundation like Tuoba Sigong. If Li Yiyin's ancestors could do it, he might be able to do it too!"

    Whoosh, whoosh!

This is both the cry of hunting and the clarion call of battle.  Tuoba Xiong heard the familiar chirping sound and quickly took the horn bow at his waist into his hands.

At the other end of the mountain, ten riders suddenly appeared behind a clump of pine trees, followed by nearly a hundred riders who appeared in everyone's sight.

"The clan leader is our enemy, the Pheasant clansman!" the clansmen exclaimed.

"Why are you panicking!" Tuoba Xiong cursed, "Enclose the animals outside, let the warriors shoot arrows in the middle, and fight back hard!"

This time Tuoba Xiong came out with only fifty strong men from the tribe, because he brought a lot of cattle and sheep, which undoubtedly attracted the attention of the Pheasant tribe.  Tuoba Xiong's order gave the tribesmen a backbone, and they reacted instinctively, quickly using cattle and sheep as shields to resist on the spot.

Enemies are extremely jealous when they meet each other.

The leader of the Pheasant Clan is Li Qimi. Since he captured Li Chuyun, an important figure in the army, Li Qimi has tasted the sweetness of guerrilla warfare. He has made many gains, and his prestige in his family seems to have increased a lot.  He saw the figure of his enemy Tuoba Xiong from a distance, and was ecstatic in his heart.

But Tuoba Xiong used the arrow in his hand to give Li Qi a disastrous attack, and seven of the Pheasant Clan warriors fell when he met him.  The cattle-killing warriors hid behind the cattle and sheep and fought back skillfully.

    "Shoot the cow first!"

    Li Qimi roared like thunder.

At the command, the pheasant warriors¡¯ arrows rushed towards the cattle.  The big bulls were hit by arrows one after another. Although their skin was dry and their flesh was thick, their bodies were in pain and they immediately went crazy and broke free.

The situation on the battlefield immediately took a turn for the worse.  Seeing this, Tuoba Xiong had no choice but to order his tribesmen to mount their horses and look for an opportunity to break out.

¡°Warriors, those are our enemies, don¡¯t let them escape!¡± Li Qi Mi was determined to win.

"The warriors who killed the Niu clan, they are our enemies, avenge our clansmen!" Tuoba Xiong held up the bloody long knife.

The cruel hand-to-hand combat began. Tuoba Xiong slashed with his sword, and the bullying warrior of the Pheasant Tribe was cut into two pieces by him. The flying blood ignited the fighting spirit of all the Cow-killing Tribe warriors. Fighting with numbers was not what they thought.  Yes, but they have no choice.  As for the origin of the grievances between the two clans, they have long been submerged in the blood of previous battles.

Tuoba Xiong led his clan members to fight and retreat at the same time, losing many of their best soldiers and not allowing the other party to take advantage. However, Li Qimi had already regarded him as his prey and would not allow him to escape easily.

    "Ha ha!"

Li Qimi rode his horse independently on the hillside. Looking at the cow-killing tribesmen running like wolves and pigs down the hillside, he felt extremely proud:

¡°Tuoba Xiong must be my prisoner, Li Qi Buri, this time.¡±??!  The leader of the Cow Killing Clan was captured alive. This was a feat that our ancestors had not been able to accomplish!  I, Li Qimi, will definitely become the number one hero of the Pheasant Clan!  "

Hahaha, Li Qimi looked up to the sky and laughed again.  However, he vaguely heard the sound of horse hooves coming from behind him, and he turned around sharply. At some point, fourteen horsemen descended from the high slope and quietly surrounded him from both sides. They were so close that he could even see clearly that the other party was not interested.  A well-intentioned smile.

ah!  Without time to think about it, Li Qi grabbed the horse's belly and rushed down the slope.  Whoosh, fourteen arrows flew in, and each one hit Li Qi Mi's mount. None of the fourteen arrows missed. This level of ability to control arrows on horseback was unique among the Tibetan tribesmen who were good at riding and shooting.  It's rare, not to mention that these fourteen cavalrymen cooperated perfectly and occupied favorable terrain, making it difficult for Li Qi Mi to fly.

The people were shot first, and the horses were shot first. Li Qi Mi's mount was shot into a hedgehog. Li Qi Mi immediately fell to the ground, and his body rolled far away on the slope like a horse dung egg.  Enduring the huge pain, he jumped up from the ground, only to feel a sudden blow to the back of his head. The scene in front of him immediately turned black and he collapsed to the ground.

These fourteen riders are Han Yi and his men.  Han Yi planned to go to Qingzhou today, and later heard that Zhe Congruan was going on an expedition, so he went to look for Zhe Congruan's camp. Unexpectedly, he met Li Qimi unexpectedly in this barren mountain.  He didn't know why the two troops were fighting, but when he listened to the accompanying Tibetan guide explaining the differences in the costumes of the two troops, he decided to be the oriole behind. It took no effort at all.  All I know is that this prisoner has a high status.

The Pheasant Clan warrior who was fighting with the Killing Ox Tribe was about to start fighting when he suddenly saw that his master was being attacked by someone. He immediately left the Killing Ox Tribe and came over to kill him.

"How dare you stroke your beard even from a small tribe?"

The Thirteen Riders of Chai Feng did not retreat but advanced, charging head-on head-on. They were condescending and their momentum was astonishing.  There are only thirteen knights, but the momentum they contain is a fatal blow that no one can stop.

The pheasants roared and attacked frantically, trying to tear every enemy they encountered into pieces and snatch out their young master.

Suddenly, the opponent disappeared, as if disappearing out of thin air. Zheng Bao and others jumped off the horse to hide. At the moment of engaging the enemy, the spear in their hand pierced out from the gap between the horses like lightning.

Thirteen spears were thrust out, thirteen bloody arrows burst out, and thirteen Pheasant Clan warriors fell on their backs.  The Pheasant Tribe warriors behind were stunned. In the blink of an eye, the galloping horses carrying the Thirteen Gods of Killing collided head-on. In their incredible eyes, their bodies had been lifted up in the air.

    ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

The cattle-killing clan reacted, turned their horses¡¯ heads one after another, and covered up the killing force.  The young master became a prisoner, and his life and death were unknown. The surviving Pheasant warriors were frightened and were killed like falling flowers. Only a few of their horses escaped.

"Dear warrior, Tuoba Xiong, the leader of the Niu Killing Clan, would like to express his sincere gratitude for your generous action. Your great kindness will be generously rewarded."

Tuoba Xiong bowed gratefully and said.

"Oh, it turns out he's the leader of the Niu Killing Clan. I've admired him for a long time!" Han Yi jumped off his horse and went to meet him.

Tuoba Xiong looked at Han Yi carefully, and Han Yi said: "My surname is Han. I want to sell horses in Huanzhou. I happened to meet the clan leader. This is just a small effort and not worth mentioning."

Tuoba Xiong saw that although Han Yi was plainly dressed, his face was full of dust, and the beard on his face was not neatly cleaned and grew randomly, but his temperament was extraordinary, and the thirteen knights just now were so murderous, he didn't believe Han Yi at all.  He is a horse dealer, not to mention that the territory of Qingzhou is not peaceful, so no businessman would dare to set foot there easily.

However, thanks to Han Yi¡¯s righteous action, he could not show his doubts on his face and said:

"It's not peaceful here. The army is currently fighting against the Pheasant Clan's rebellion. It's better for my benefactor to stay in Qingzhou temporarily. When the road is clear, it won't be too late to go to Huanzhou."

"Although this is my first time in Qingzhou, I have heard that the Sanniu Clan has lived in Sanniuling for generations. Since Qingzhou is not peaceful, why did the clan leader take the risk to come here?" Han Yi asked.

Tuoba Xiong pointed to the tribesmen who were gathering scattered cattle and sheep and said: "I originally took the cattle and sheep to reward the army in front of Zhe Ling Gong's army, but I didn't expect to meet the Pheasant tribesmen, the feudal enemy of our tribe."

He then pointed at Li Qimi, who was unconscious on the ground, and said to Han Yi: "If my benefactor can give this person to me, I am willing to offer it"

Probably feeling that this request was too much to express, Tuoba Xiong blushed: "Although my clan is small, I am still willing to offer two hundred horses, not only to repay your kindness, but also to kill this pheasant man and avenge the clan.  Blood hate.¡±

Two hundred horses are by no means a small number.  Although Han Yi didn't know much about these tribes, he also knew that few tribes could easily produce two hundred horses.

Han Yi had no answer. He thought that the status of this prisoner must be high, otherwise an ordinary Pheasant tribesman wouldHow can it be worth two hundred horses?  The leader of the Niu Killing Clan named Tuoba Xiong is very young, with a pair of slender eyes showing shrewdness, and he is quite fluent in Chinese.

"Oh, this is a bit difficult to handle. The territory of Qingzhou is under the rule of Zhe Laolinggong. He is currently suppressing the rebellious Pheasant tribe. I was about to dedicate this prisoner to Zhe Laolinggong. This prisoner does not seem to be  An ordinary Pheasant tribesman should be a little chief or something like that. You know, if I can make Mr. Zhe happy, my horse selling business will be much easier in the future." Han Yi was confused.

Tuoba Xiong¡¯s expression changed because he happened to be thinking of Han Yi. Han Yi didn¡¯t know who the prisoner was, but Tuoba Xiong did.

    ¡¡

At the foot of the mountain, Zhe Congruan's army temporarily stopped and took a rest.

Li Chuyun was captured. In Ruan's rage, he ordered the entire army to break out of the city and search the Pheasant Clan's territory for ten consecutive days. Except for occasional small battles, nothing was found.

The mountain road was difficult, and the Pheasant clansmen took full advantage of their familiarity with the terrain and sent more than ten small teams to harass the official army. They wisely did not confront the main force of the official army, which made Zhe Congruan unable to start.  Zhe Congruan braved the cold wind to inspect the camp, asking for help. Although the troops were tired, their morale was still there, which gave Zhe Congruan a sense of comfort.

"Uncle, the leader of the Niu Killing Clan wants to see you!" A young officer hurried over to report.  This officer, with thick eyebrows and big eyes, had a surname of Zhe and a given name of Deming. He was one of the nephews of Zhe Congruan.

"Killing the cattle tribe?" Zhe Congruan asked doubtfully.

"Uncle Shushuai, there is a feud between the cattle-killing tribe and the pheasant tribe. They came here this time and brought some cattle and horses, claiming to be here to welcome the army." Zhe De Ming said, then paused and said, "But  They all have injuries on their bodies, and according to them, they were ambushed by the Pheasant tribe on the road.¡±

When Zhe Congruan heard this, he said joyfully: "Hurry up and open the camp gate. Zhe will be there to greet you personally. My dear men, please be alert and don't be underestimated."

With an order, the gates of the army camp were opened, and Ruan Cong personally came out to greet them.

The Sha Niu tribesmen looked at the well-organized military camp of the officers and soldiers, whispering, and saw a group of officers and soldiers walking out of the camp gate. Among them, a veteran general wearing a purple cloak was Zhe Congruan.

"Where is the leader of the Niu Killing Clan?" He followed Ruan Hongliang's voice, not angry but proud.

"That's it for me! Your Majesty is above, just call me Tuoba Xiong." Tuoba Xiong saluted respectfully.

Zhe Congruan heard the sound and looked at the other party, and suddenly saw Han Yi standing behind the Niu Killer tribe member smiling at him. Zhe Congruan was surprised and cursed angrily:

"Which song did the Marquis of Beihai sing?"

    The subordinates were shocked.

Han Yi strode forward to greet him, bowed and said:

    "Please forgive me!"

"The majestic Marquis of Beihai, a general under the emperor's command, I am just a vassal general, how dare I offend you?" Zhe followed Ruan Dao.

"Your Majesty, please calm down and calm down your anger. No, I have a big gift to give to your Majesty today." Zhe Congruan didn't give him a good look, but Han Yi didn't take it seriously.

Zheng Bao took Li Qi Mi over. Li Qi Mi had already woken up, but after Cao Shisan and others took turns taking care of him, he was beaten half to death and had no strength to resist.

"This man is the only son of the patriarch of the Pheasant Clan, and his status is no small matter." Han Yi smiled and pointed at Tuoba Xiong, "It was with the great help of the patriarch of the Tuoba tribe that Han succeeded."

Han Yi took Tuoba Xiong by the way and sold him a good one. Tuoba Xiong was very happy, but he didn't know that Han Yi just wanted the Pheasant tribe to know that their young master was captured by the army. Tuoba Xiong was also one of the accomplices.  Let them increase their hatred.

"As the leader of the clan, I wonder if you have any advice?" Zhe Congruan was overjoyed and kept a calm expression on his face.

"Your Majesty, you're welcome. When the little chief heard that the army was attacking the pheasant rebels, he led his people to reward the army with cattle and sheep, and begged your Majesty to accept it!" Tuoba Xiong said quickly.  After saying this, he ordered his tribesmen to bring cattle and sheep to offer them.

"Haha, the patriarch's kindness is hard to deny. I would like to thank the nobles for their kindness on behalf of the generals." Zhe Congruan said with a smile, then turned around and ordered Zhe Deming to say, "Today, we will hold a banquet in my tent to entertain the Tuoba patriarch and his party!" He looked at Han Yi again and said:

"Also for the Marquis of Beihai to receive the wind!"

Zhe Congruan affectionately pulled Tuoba Xiong toward the camp, deliberately snubbing Han Yi. He had all the generals accompanying him, and Zhe Congruan also wanted to take this opportunity to boost morale. This was also a rare opportunity after days of advancing troops without success.  Naturally, Tuoba Xiong was also respectful and scolded the Pheasants tribesmen for being ungrateful.

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Showing your love for nothing is either adultery or robbery.  With the wine in his ears, Zhe Congruan deliberately said:

"The pheasant rebelled, and we came from afar. The tribes in Hengshan sat on the mountain and watched the tiger fight, and everyone's minds were unpredictable. What can Chief Tuoba teach me?"

"No?I asked you about it.  In fact, although our ancestors were originally from the same tribe, our descendants have extended so far that it is difficult for the tribes to be unified. Originally, the tribes lived in peace with each other and were engaged in livestock production. Although they were not rich, they were comfortable.  Now that the government and the army are here to start a war, everyone will inevitably think too much about it.  "

Tuoba Xiong¡¯s meaning is more euphemistic. In fact, he means that the previous dynasties were busy with internal fighting and could not spare any effort to intimidate the Tibetans. Although the Tibetans pay attention to the weak and the strong, they can still be considered as checks and balances on each other and each has its own territory.  Now in the great Zhou Dynasty, the arrival of the official army seems to have broken the balance of power among the various ministries. It is inevitable that the rabbit will die and the fox will be sad, so they all sit on the mountain and watch the tiger fight.

??Zhe Congruan has already thought of this.

"The Tuoba clan leader is dedicated to good deeds and is respectful and courteous. I will go to the court to show my merits to the clan leader. If the clan leader can send warriors from the clan to help me, when the success is achieved, the court will inevitably reward the whole clan for killing the cattle."  ." Zhe Congruan said seductively.

Tuoba Xiong blinked, so he said, "I'm afraid this is a bit difficult. Regarding the matter of assisting the army, the little chief also has the same intention. It's just that I have just taken over the clan power, and the people in the clan are not convinced."

Zhe Congruan secretly scolded Tuoba Xiong for being cunning, wanting to get favors but not trying to do anything, and he didn't force anything.  After Tuoba Xiong and others were placed to rest, Zhe Congruan and Han Yi sat opposite each other.

"Could it be that Zizhong has a prejudice against me?" Zhe Congruan came to the point straight to the point.

"Why did your Majesty say this?" Han Yi pretended not to know.

"I am an envoy and a military governor, and I am in charge of the troops and horses of Huan, Qing, Ning, and Ping. In addition, I have a thousand children of the Zhe family who can charge into the battle. Zizhong only has one tooth guard in the capital. Is it because he is afraid of me?  Do you act arbitrarily and depend on me, just waiting for me to waste my time and get no results, or hope that I will make some mistakes and lose my energy before you are willing to work with me?"

Zhe Congruan points directly at people's hearts, but talks about China and South Korea's worries.  Han Yi quickly acted like a prodigal son turning back and said:

"Your Majesty must be aware that I was temporarily fascinated by the old Taoist Chen Tuan of Huayin and wanted to learn the secret of immortality. Unexpectedly, I delayed important matters. When Your Majesty was angry, I suddenly realized that, well, I think Han was so proud and complacent when he was successful in his youth.  , lost his original intention. Please punish me!"

"Really?" Zhe Congruan didn't believe it. He secretly thought that the nominal deputy in front of him was not something he could punish. He said in a gentle tone, "When you and I work together in the future, we must be honest and honest and not hide it. You and I are both generals.  , don¡¯t learn the habits of those corrupt literati, your life is the most important thing!¡±

"That's what your majesty taught you!" Han Yi quickly climbed up the pole and said, "Hearing that Li Chuyun was unfortunately captured, Han thought that it would be better to exchange Chuyun back with Li Qimian."

    "Is this worth it?"

Although Li Chuyun was loved by Zhe Congruan, after all, Li Chuyun was just his own tooth guard. If he exchanged the son of an enemy chief, Zhe Congruan would be worried that someone would say that he was seeking personal gain.  Han Yi took the initiative to bring it up and took it from Ruan Xiahuai.

"On the way here, I talked with the leader of the Niu-Slaying Clan and tried to find out what he had to say. It was said that Li Qimi didn't have much ability, and it was said that he was at odds with a man named Noah in the tribe."

"I know this Noah. I have fought with him many times in the past few days. This man is very skilled in the art of war and is extremely difficult to deal with"

The conversation between the two gradually became quieter. Zhe Deming was standing outside the tent and could only hear a burst of suppressed laughter from inside the tent. Zhe and Han had put their previous unhappiness far away.
