Trial Mass Production Unity District Chapter 4: The Witch¡¯s Tea Party

"So, what's wrong with Hope coming to see me?"

At the small round table, Dorothy poured a cup of hot tea for everyone.  There are a few tea stems floating in the clear tea soup, swirling with the rising heat.

Hope reached out and took the white porcelain cup in his hand.  He said while feeling the heat coming from the cup.

¡°Well, this time I¡¯m here to say goodbye.¡±

    "Farewell?"

"Well, I told you before, I have plans to travel around the world."

"Dorothy can't remember things that are too far away?"

    "Really."

Hopeless took a sip of tea, and the slightly bitter liquid flowed through the taste buds on the tip of his tongue, making him frown slightly.

¡°So, I won¡¯t be able to bring you prey in the future.¡±

    "That's right."

Dorothy also took a sip of tea.  But I don't know whether it was because she was born with a unique taste, or she was used to this drinking method 'invented' by the hunter. When the tea soup entered her mouth, there was no wave on her face.

    ¡°Excuse me, prey?¡±

Snow White, who was listening on the sidelines and putting sugar cubes into the tea soup with a frown, raised her head when she heard this.

She raised one hand, first made a 'sorry' gesture, and then continued to ask with interest.

"Dorothy, did he help you find your materials?"

"Well, because Dorothy is not good at sports and her brain is not very good."

    "Oh, that's how it is¡¡"

Snow White glanced at the hunter with a subtle expression.

    "That's really awesome, Mr. Hunter."

    "you flatter me."

"No, I am also a witch. I still know how troublesome this kind of thing is."

    ""

The hunter narrowed his eyes and stopped talking, but Little Red Riding Hood beside him was already dumbfounded.

While maintaining a forced smile, she poked the hunter in the side.  It wasn't until the hunter looked sideways with a dissatisfied expression that she gritted her teeth and asked softly.

"Hey teacher, what's going on with the witch or something?"

"Huh? Isn't that what you heard?"

    "Can¡ª¡ª"

"It seems that this young lady is biased against us witches."

    "Eh?"

But the sound was still too loud. No, rather than saying that the sound was too loud, it was more of a self-deception, right?

Bai Xue interrupted the conversation between the hunter and Little Red Riding Hood with a smile, and then raised a finger.

¡°First of all, I don¡¯t know where you heard about ¡®witch¡¯, but if it¡¯s a bedtime story, I don¡¯t think it has much reference significance.¡±

Then, she raised a second finger.

"Secondly, although we don't know what other witches are like, for us, witches are just a 'secondary job' in life. Dorothy over there, her job is the manager of this prop shop - although  There are no guests at all. And I, as introduced just now, am the princess of this kingdom."

    ""

    ¡°Take Dorothy for example.¡±

    "Hey, me?"

"Do you think she is a child who can do bad things?"

    "Eh?"

    "Well"

Little Red Riding Hood glanced at Dorothy hesitantly, and met the child's innocent eyes.  She immediately turned her head away and muttered.

¡°¡Okay, but why are you telling me this.¡±

    "This is it~"

Bai Xue tapped her cheek and narrowed her eyes.

¡°I just don¡¯t want my own people to misunderstand me.¡±

"Little Red Riding Hood felt that she was not telling the truth, but because the relationship between them was just a first acquaintance, she didn't say anything.

On the other side, while the two of them were talking, the hunter had already finished what he wanted to say.

He drank the rest of the tea in one gulp and then stood up.

    ¡°Then, it¡¯s almost time to say goodbye.¡±

He just came to say goodbye. Since Dorothy had other guests, he didn't want to disturb her any more.

    "Well, see you then."

Dorothy stood up unsteadily, and then suddenly remembered something.

    "Oh, by the way, Hope."

    "What?"

"What you told me last time has been done."

      "What?"

¡°Things that will explode when hit are made for you.¡±

Hopless¡¯s expression instantly changed as if he had seen a ghost.

    "****?"

"I don't know what it is, but Dorothy made it for you."

As the girl spoke, she pulled out a big bag from the corner of the room.  Hopeless took it and weighed it. It was about a kilogram.

    "Thanks."

    "hey-hey."

Hopless untied the string and took a look into the bag.  There are some black powders inside, which exude a slightly pungent bitter smell, like some kind of Chinese medicine mixed with sulfur.

    "Will it explode if hit?"

Bai Xue sat on her seat and took a sip of tea - it seemed that she had finally put in enough sugar, her eyebrows were completely stretched.

    "Gunpowder?"

    "It's somewhat similar."

Hope put the bag away and saluted Bai Xue.

"Then, Your Royal Highness, let's meet again when we have a chance."

"Well, let's see you again when we are destined."

Bai Xue raised the teacup and watched the hunter leave the cabin.

Then, she turned her eyes to Dorothy and showed a very happy smile.

    "So it's him?"

    "What?"

"The person you told me about."

Bai Xue was talking about what happened a week ago. At that time, she and Dorothy had just become good friends. Although they had a strong relationship of trust, they did not understand each other.

During that time, as two witches who were not welcomed by the world, the two of them exchanged a lot of things.  During that period, Dorothy once said something that made Bai Xue very concerned, but it was difficult to ask in detail - that is, someone was helping her collect materials.

For a witch, this is really surprising news.  After all, no one in this world likes witches, sometimes even they themselves do.

Bai Xue cannot imagine anyone collecting magic materials for witches - unless they are controlled by witchcraft, like the 'black witches' in many bedtime stories.

    "Dorothy doesn't like riddles."

    "Really? Then forget it."

Does Dorothy really not know?  Bai Xue didn't believe it, but she wouldn't continue to ask.  If Dorothy wished she had stopped there, she had no reason to go on.

    ¡°Then let¡¯s continue our previous topic.¡±

Bai Xue turned her gaze to the corner of the room.  There, a white curtain covered something.

    "what is that?"

    "Dorothy's companion."

    "partner?"

"Well, because Dorothy can't do anything well, she can't do it without a partner."

Dorothy walked over and lifted the curtain.

There was a suit of armor, a lion, and a scarecrow.  They were motionless, but they exuded a strange aura, as if they were alive.

    "You activated them?"

Bai Xue stepped forward with great interest and played with the armor.  She opened the full-body helmet and carefully inspected the interior: there was neither a seal nor a magic potion, but there was a black smoke entrenched in the 'throat', emitting a faint red light.

Bai Xue recognized that thing: it was a dead spirit, something every witch was good at playing with.  Something that is not necessarily evil, but is definitely not good either.

Unlike ordinary living beings, undead souls will not die.  But just as life is afraid of death, they are also afraid of their own 'flaws'.

They will be obsessed with self-completion and use this as their motivation to ¡®survive¡¯.  And Dorothy put these things into her 'toys' and used this method to give them life.

    "This is really"

This is a very, very powerful method, but not worthy of praise.  In the past history, although there were many powerful witches who had done similar things, their endings were either on the stake or hunted by bounty hunters - in short, none of them had a good ending.

¡°After all, this is blaspheming life, and it is a crime that many witches cannot bear.

"What exactly are you planning to do?"

    "Go home."

Dorothy smiled, turned around, patted the lion on the head, and adjusted the scarecrow's arms.

"Dorothy was a lost child, and so was Hope.  Although he never said it, Dorothy knew.  "

That smile was a little crazy, as if something was broken, which made people shudder.
