    Chapter 114 Warehouse

Captain Sock picked up a test tube from the box and looked at it for a long time.  He casually called a skeleton soldier next to him and said with his usual calmness: "Bring these things to Medical Officer Schmidt for examination. Tell him that I need to see the test results in the shortest possible time."

With that said, he turned sideways and leaned on the back of the chair with his arms folded: "I have to wait until the inspection report comes out before I can give you a final answer. Boy, we have to follow the rules."

The evening air was filled with the smell of death.  The gloomy dusk sun struggled to reveal the last ray of light from the concave corners of the mountains.  The walls of the house are covered with mottled spots, and dilapidated buildings blackened by smoke stand alone.  There were no living people, corpses everywhere.  They fell to the ground, rotten and bloated, their pus-covered surfaces swarming with flies.  There was no chirping of insects, no chirping of birds, not even the slightest sound of the breeze blowing through the belt.

The dead are not terrible.  What is frightening are the ghosts and ghosts that wander around the ruins of the village.  The west-slanting sunlight shines strangely on the surface of the dilapidated building, casting elongated hazy black shadows on the ground.  Those ghosts hide behind the sun, grinding their sharp teeth and peeping fiercely at everyone who passes by.  Their eyes were covered with a layer of dust and blood, and their gazes were dull and terrifying.

A thin woman slowly walked over from the depths of the ruins.  The worn linen robe on his body seemed to be torn even by the slightest breeze.  One breast, which was full of wrinkles and had turned black at the front, collapsed from the hole in the robe, shriveling like dried meat that had lost water in the sun.  She was barefoot and struggled to move on the road covered with thorns and gravel.  Behind him, a long trail of bright red blood trailed out.

Long gray hair covered her face, but this did not prevent Griffith from judging the true identity of this woman through other physical characteristics.  He opened his eyes hard, trying to get through the obstruction of dense hair and rediscover everything he was familiar with on that face, but he had no choice but to give up amid the back and forth blowing of the air.

Griffith's heart trembled.  Not because of fear, but because of sadness, pain, despair

The woman sat down about two meters away from him.  He took out a rusty knife from nowhere, gently lifted up his thigh that was covered by his robe, pointed the not-so-sharp knife tip at the base of his leg, and stabbed it in hard.

Her legs were very thin, like dead tree trunks.  The atrophied muscles are tightly attached to the bones, and the thin skin can be easily pulled up. There is no fat and no water. It is just a piece of thinner than paper, but it barely maintains the necessary firmness and toughness.  skin.

The knife was dull, and the incomplete blade cut back and forth in the withered muscles.  From time to time, the heart-stopping sound of metal and bone colliding could be heard.  With each cut, Griffith felt his heart bleed.  He stretched out his arms desperately, roared wildly with eyes wide open, and tried his best to rush forward, trying to snatch the knife from the woman's hand and completely stop this terrible behavior  In the end, it could only stay in place, like a larva bound by the egg membrane, struggling desperately to escape from it, wriggling in vain.

The woman cuts very slowly and hard.  I couldn't see her face, but I could clearly feel the pain she was suffering.  Griffith's mental state had already collapsed. He collapsed on the ground like mud, his face mixed with tears and sweat twitching violently, and his open lips murmured like a dehydrated tadpole: "Hurry up  Please, please, end this quickly!"

The blunt knife finally cut off a piece of meat the size of a palm.  It is very dry, the sauce-colored blood seems to be coagulated in the rough flesh, and the bright white meridians and ligaments tightly wrap every corner.  The woman held it high above her head. Her face could not be seen, but she could feel her smile.

The skinny and bloodless hands carefully held the meat to Griffith's mouth like a treasure.  Looking at the gray-white figure getting closer and closer, Griffith, who was almost exhausted, could only tilt his head feebly. In the deepest part of his heart, he prayed, screamed, and begged desperately in the most brutal and fiery language

The woman slowly stuffed the meat into his mouth, and gently wiped away a trace of blood on his lips with her fingers with great pity. Her voice was small but gentle: "Be good, eat it, and you can live. If  If it¡¯s not enough, mom will cut it again"

"No! Mom! Mom! You can't do this. I, I can't eat you -"

Griffith suddenly sat up from the bed like crazy, opened his eyes full of fear and eagerness, and glanced back and forth in the empty room.  His chest, which was covered with thick fat, was heaving violently. He was breathing heavily like an asthmatic patient who was deprived of oxygen. The surface of his eyeballs, which almost protruded out of the orbit, were covered with bloodshot eyes. His body, which was covered with thick hair, was trembling all the time.  The pointer of the thermometer hanging on the wall was fixed on the red line of the number twenty-eight, but he still felt a little nervous.Cold, as cold as if you were in an ice cellar.

A ray of golden sunlight shines in from the window and shines on the messy white sheets, reflecting countless light-colored projections with weird shapes.

Griffiths sat blankly on the bed with a blank look on his face, his eyes dim and lifeless.  As the brain's thoughts completed the transition between dreams and reality, the stiff body gradually softened.  He looked at his hands dejectedly, and then touched his lips, which seemed to still have blood stains.  Suddenly his head was thrust into the middle of his bent legs, his hands gripped the bed tightly, and he sobbed and whimpered like a child

Two dilapidated trucks slowly drove out of a low-rise bungalow in the western suburbs of Emma City.  In the dilapidated carriage, which was reinforced with several thick iron wires, there were neatly stacked bags sewn with linen.  They were puffy and puffy like cooked dumplings.  If you get closer, you can even smell the faint fragrance of barley or corn through the sturdy packaging.

The building itself is just a disguise. When you walk into the door, you can see a tall circular entrance that is opened from the wall and connected to the mountain.  It was a tunnel left over from the old days that was collapsed and sealed during the war.  After simple cleaning and necessary anti-seepage and drying measures, it has become Griffith's secret private warehouse.

In the eyes of the top management of Sosibia Company, the fat regional manager is a very capable guy.  There has never been a shortage or delay in the revenue transferred to the head office, and every measure can be implemented quickly and effectively.  Not only that, this fat man is also very good at being a good person. During the New Year, he will definitely give out red envelopes and other benefits.  That big, round head has an amazing memory and can make the most accurate and sophisticated analysis of the relationships between senior executives of the company.  Fawn over those who are useful, and cast aside those who are useless.  Even those personnel who are temporarily idle but may be used at any time will receive Griffith's unwavering support and help.  Coupled with that plump, round and cute fleshy face, whenever his name is mentioned, although not everyone will give him praise, at least no one will say a bad word about him.

The position of Emma regional manager is a very good job.  With independent pricing power, Griffiths will slightly increase the prices of various trading commodities based on comprehensive factors such as season, demand, population, etc.  Such a change is very small, but it can bring him a lot of benefits.  Buying and selling, hoarding, and trafficking back and forth between several cities Within the scope of his authority, Griffith quickly accumulated enough funds to strengthen his power.

This warehouse is very secretive.  Except for a few powerful confidants, Griffith himself rarely came here unless absolutely necessary.  The less contact there is, the smaller the chance of leakage.

The sudden purchase of a large amount of grain on the market will definitely attract the attention of Ferdinand and Sosbia.  Griffith would never use such a stupid and almost suicidal method.  He is a cautious person, and he will keep part of every transaction with surrounding cities as a secret.  As time goes by, the reserves in the warehouse have reached shocking figures.  Although it cannot completely meet Lin Xiang's cargo needs, it is not much different.

The location here is remote, and with the driver and the close guards scattered around the perimeter of the warehouse, there are only Griffiths, mercenary captain Locke, and two other armed personnel operating related equipment in the spacious warehouse space.

Locke was wearing a simple leather coat with the collar open as usual, revealing his strong chest muscles and thick and long body hair.  With an assault rifle slung under his shoulder, he crossed his arms on his chest, leaning sideways against the cold warehouse wall, holding a rough cigarette in his mouth, looking calmly at the person who was commanding the third party not far from him.  A truck slowly drove out of the center of the tunnel.

"Five times the price, you guy you're so damn black -" I couldn't tell whether it was sarcasm or reproach, Locke's voice sounded very flat.

Griffith tilted his head and raised his stubby middle finger at him angrily: "You know nothing. I am taking huge risks to do this. Ferdinand and Sosbia completely sealed off the entire food chain.  In the market, large-scale transactions must be approved by the head office. That kid got into a big trouble, how will he end up?"

"Don't say those useless nonsense. You are not the same, Faith. Don't I know what you are thinking? On the surface, you do look very dark, but you have helped that young man a lot.  Busy. Haha! I really don¡¯t know what to say to you."

Locke took a light puff of his cigarette, smiled and shook his head: "Compared to human life, money is nothing."

"That's enough! Can't you shut that fucking mouth?"

Griffith waved his fist angrily and made an exaggerated move full of intimidation and threats: "I know what I do, don't show off.Act like you know everything.  Who has anything to do with you if I want to sell this batch of grain?  Don't speculate on what the hell it means.  The price offered by that little bastard is high enough, and I also like colorful banknotes. It¡¯s that simple¡ª"

Locke looked at the blushing and thick-necked regional manager, smiled, and said nothing.

"You are absolutely right. Colorful banknotes are indeed the most lovable things in the world¡ª¡ª"

A harsh and sudden sound suddenly rushed into everyone's ears like thunder.  Following the direction of the sound, a tall, muscular man with a beard walked in from the open warehouse door with a grin.

He was wearing a pair of off-white trousers and a half-worn brown leather vest.  The naked skin is covered with all kinds of hideous and scary tattoos, and the thick arms and well-developed muscles exude a powerful oily color under the light.  His steps were very solid, as if the soles of his boots were stained with moisture, leaving a row of flat red marks on the flat concrete floor.

That is the color of blood.

The man was holding a head in his left hand. Judging from the uneven neck fracture, it was obviously torn from a living person.  A white spine more than half a meter long hung down from the center of the head, and was slowly dragged along with the blood that continued to seep from the surface of the wound.

Everyone pointed their guns at the man instantly.  Looking at the head in his hand, Griffith felt his legs become weak - it was a confidant he arranged to serve as a guard outside the warehouse.

Locke looked at the visitor coldly, suddenly jumped out from the ground, aimed at the target and pulled the trigger without any warning.  The tumbling body instantly flashed a distance of more than ten meters and landed lightly on the ground.  He adjusted his posture while he was still in the air. As soon as he stabilized his position, the rifle in his hand roared again. More than ten rounds of bullets fired from different directions, with the strange man's position as the midpoint, formed a line of fire as dense as a shower.  The net locked him tightly in it.

The man glanced at him indifferently, and his burly body suddenly dodged to the side at a speed that did not match his strong body, easily dodging Locke's attack.  His movements were astonishingly fast. Before anyone else could react, he had already rushed in front of the nearest armed man like lightning, and punched the panicked face with a powerful fist.

    "Bang¡ª¡ª"

The young soldier floated from the ground like a kite, flying upside down and slamming into the wall several meters away.  The hard skull was completely deformed by the smash, and the huge force shook the eyeballs out of their sockets, hanging on both ends of the nose, bouncing up and down like springs.

Locke didn¡¯t waste even a second, and immediately changed direction and quickly approached the opponent with irregular movements.  The assault rifle has been controlled by the right hand and fires continuously from all directions from time to time.  With his left hand, he pulled out the pistol and clicked it repeatedly during the shooting gap of the rifle. The dense stream of bullets connected back and forth and hit the unidentified mysterious man head-on.

There was no trace of panic on the man's face, with an undisguised cruel smile. He suddenly accelerated his speed and instantly moved from the muzzle of the gun with incredible agility.  This incredible movement is far beyond the fastest speed that Locke's vision can capture.  Unable to make any defense, the mercenary captain felt that his left arm was suddenly tightly grasped by something. A violent force also hit his tuck, and the sound of cracking bones was transmitted along the nerves to the brain.  Locke's eyes suddenly widened, his whole body went limp, and he suddenly fell to the ground on his bent knees. Breathing heavily and hard, he twisted his body painfully, rolling and twisting on the dry concrete floor.

    "No! Don't come over -"

The last soldier screamed and took off the grenade hanging on his chest as quickly as possible, unplugged the latch, tightly held the latch that controlled the detonation, widened his eyes, and looked at the man who was getting closer and closer with trembling eyes.  .

    "Hehehehehe! You idiot¡ª¡ª"

The man seemed amused by his actions. He pulled out a pistol from his waist and aimed at the soldier's head several times without any explanation.  The moment the bullet came out, his body also jumped out at the same time.  Just as the warhead exploded on the soldier's head and his unconscious fingertips released the latch of the grenade, the man's right leg swung back fiercely and kicked the metal sphere that was about to explode out of the door.

    "Boom¡ª¡ª"

The huge air waves and firelight reflected Griffith's face full of despair.

"Are you the regional manager of Emma City?" The man turned around, walked up to him, and showed a devilish smile.

"Youwho are you?" Griffith tried his best to act like a strong man, but his body was trembling involuntarily.

    "My name is Bill."

With a lewd smile, the man walked around the geese like an extinct animal.??Fitz turned around a few times: "Mr. Bergson is very dissatisfied with your recent work. He wants to have a good talk with you. As for the location, it is at Gargasoni Castle. Hehehehehe! You should be interested in that place  Not unfamiliar."

"Add add, Gargasoni Castle." Griffith murmured, his legs softened, and he collapsed to the ground like mud.

Bergson.  Luton was the actual ruler of Sosbia.  Under normal circumstances, he would never suddenly summon someone like the regional manager to return to Gargasoni Castle.  In front of this guy named Bill, Locke, who has the eighth-level evolutionary ability, can't even block a punch You can be sure that the person who comes is definitely a powerful parasite.

There is no doubt that the head office discovered the secret transaction between itself and Hidden Moon Town.

"The car is outside. Shall I help you? Or do you go alone?" Bill touched his chin, his wolf-like eyes staring at Griffiths.

"I, I can do it myself."

The regional manager was suddenly startled and ran out quickly.  When he walked past Locke, who was lying on the ground panting in pain, he subconsciously stopped.  Although he was too scared to control himself, he still summoned up the courage to plead: "Please, don't kill him."

Bill squinted his eyes, his ferocious gaze moving back and forth between the dying Locke and the poor Griffith.  After a long time, he nodded lightly: "I like money. As long as I have enough money, I can spare his life."
