The girl's eyes were calm.  It was as if Leo's reaction was just an exaggerated performance.

    "Is something wrong?" she asked.

Leo sighed and put the long sword back into its scabbard.

"The blade is immaculate. It was not made by alchemy."

At this time, Leo's mood was extremely complicated.  He saw the most gorgeous scabbard, but it had a plain blade.  It was like a drama that had just reached the climax but ended abruptly, which made people sigh.

"I don't think it looks like a matching sword in the sheath." Leo continued, "It looks ordinary, but I always feel a little doubtful. There should be something special in it, but I can't catch that.  inspiration."

"I know." The girl nodded.  Leo's statement was no different from others.  Although she had already guessed such a result, there was still unwilling disappointment in her eyes at this time.  She stood up.  "Please give me the sword back. I should leave."

"Please wait." Leo stopped the girl who was about to leave, "Can I ask another question?"

    The girl nodded.

"What about the material of the sword body? What is it? I can't identify it."

Leo doesn¡¯t think it looks like steel.  Although the sword body has the characteristics of metal in terms of luster and feel, when he placed the blade in his palm, he felt that it was as warm as jade, and the sword body gradually became hot.  However, when he felt it carefully, it became as cold as iron.  He didn't think it was an illusion.

An alchemist should trust his intuition.  This is what his father always warned him.

The girl shook her head, "I don't know. This is a family heirloom." As she said that, she buckled the sword into her belt and covered it with her cloak.  "Thank you for your help." She nodded lightly to Leo and walked out.

Leo didn't seem to notice her leaving.  He had fallen into deep thought.

¡°Can you let me take another look?¡± He asked without raising his head, but received no response.  When he looked up, he heard the jingling of the bell hanging on the door lintel.  He chased after her and shouted to the girl who put her hood back on, "Miss, can you give me another hour?"

The girl was sitting in the living room, the steaming black tea in front of her no longer steaming.  She stared at the porcelain cup from the east, slowly picked it up and took a sip.  She frowned slightly. She was not used to adding milk, sugar cubes, honey and lemon juice to her tea.  She likes the original fragrance of tea.  The kind of taste that comes after all the hardships.

She put down the porcelain cup regretfully and looked at the closed door.  That's Leo's study.  The other party politely turned her away.  She knew that there must be a secret inside that Leo didn't want to reveal.  Having dealt with many alchemists, she could understand their caution.  She sat patiently, like a statue, waiting for the answer.

Leo locked himself in the room, took out the scroll containing alchemical knowledge from the fireplace flue, and spread it out on the table.

Before, Leo felt familiar with the exotic-style magic circle on the scabbard, but it wasn't until the girl left that he remembered where he had seen them.  He vaguely remembered that there was a passage in the scroll specifically about the Eastern alchemists known as "Alchemists".  Their methods are completely different from the alchemists of Ayinbulo, and their thoughts are as unconstrained as the imagination.

He carefully searched for the cryptic words on the scroll.  From head to toe, not a single corner is missed, a line drawing.  His eyes soon became dry and painful. He closed his eyes for a while, but they didn't get better, so he had to put a magnifying glass in front of his eyes.

When the hourglass dropped halfway, Leo finally found what he wanted.  He read the secret text above word by word, tried to figure out the meaning, and kept it in his heart.

After a long time, at least more than an hour, Leo walked out of the study, rubbing his stinging eyes.  The girl is still there.  This made Leo feel that his efforts were not in vain.  He gave the other party a tired smile and nodded.

"You found something, right?" The girl understood Leo's smile.

"Both good and bad." Leo sat down opposite her and poured himself a glass of water from a kettle filled with water.

    "I don't like your tea."

"Whether the owner likes it or not, it is always used to entertain guests." Leo poured another glass of water for the girl, and then drank all the water in his own glass.  He breathed a long sigh of relief and smiled wryly.  "Do you want to hear the good news or the bad news first? I really don't know how to start."

"I can probably guess what you want to say." The girl said, "So, please feel free."

Leo looked at each other in surprise, suddenly feeling like a clown.  Her eyes are as wise as mirrors, reflecting the thoughts of others.  The attempted trick seemed to herThey are all full of flaws and useless.  Maybe that's why Andreessen kicked her out?  He suppressed his divergent thoughts, organized his words, and said in a deep voice:

"I know how to repair your sword, but"

    "Not yet, right?"

Get Leo's answer.  The girl didn't look disappointed.  As she said, she had already been mentally prepared.  Since there is no hope, there is no disappointment.  Instead, Leo was irritable and angry.  The solution is right in front of you, but you can't do anything about it.

"It requires huge magic power." Leo said, "This is the biggest obstacle."

    "Are there any other problems?"

"Special magic circle, alchemy materials" Leo did not expect that repairing a long sword that had lost its power would be so complicated, but this also showed how precious the sword in the girl's hand was.

"It can only be done by your own hands?" The girl's words are always to the point.

¡°Not all alchemical knowledge will be made public.¡±

"Hmm." The girl lowered her gaze.  The room fell silent.

It was already evening, but the sky outside the window was as dark as night.  Thick dark clouds swept in from the distant sea at some point and occupied the sky above Aiyinbulo.  Thunder and lightning shuttled across the sky like twisted flying snakes, and the rumbling thunder shook the window frames.  The sudden light of thunder was like the light of a sword being quickly unsheathed, flashing with cold light like an arrow of judgment.

After what seemed like a long time, the girl spoke again: "When do I need to wait?"

Leo is torn between truth and lies.  His funds could no longer support his expenses and he urgently needed to attract business; but if he chose to lie, what would be the difference from Andrewson.

He finally chose to tell the truth.  "When the five-pointed star on the coat of arms was replaced by a constellation."

He originally thought the girl would get up and leave angrily.  After all, changing the badge will take a long time.  She couldn't wait that long.  But the girl wasn't even the slightest bit surprised.  She calmly said what Li Ou had not said:

"Maybe one year, maybe five years, maybe ten years." She said, "You are not the only one in Ayinbulo who knows how to repair."

Leo could only nod and admit.

"It seems you have made a decision." He said with regret.

    The girl nodded.

"I am willing to be your escort." She said.

"What?" Leo was extremely surprised.  He could hardly believe his ears.

The girl explained her reasons.  "As far as I know, real alchemists - not merchants on Silver Maple Street - will hire guards to protect them in completing dangerous exploration activities and collecting rare alchemical raw materials that cannot be easily purchased." She said in a calm tone.  , "I think you should be one of them. You will need me."

Leo was deeply influenced by his father.  He agreed with the girl's words: Alchemists are not businessmen.  But Leo still felt that her reasons were not sufficient.  She seemed to be hiding some unfinished words.

"Why did you make such a decision? Why not find the alchemist master?"

The girl thought for a while and gave the answer.

"I don't have enough money as a reward for repairing the Hongluan Sword." She didn't find it embarrassing, she just made her difficulties obvious.  This alone made Leo look at him differently.  "I can't provide the alchemy circle or rare materials. I can only repay them with this. They will look down upon my returns."

This is destined to be a costly transaction.  But Leo thought more.  However, in a short period of time, he was not at a disadvantage.

"Have you decided?" he asked with a hint of expectation.

The girl directly extended her hand to Leo.

    "Lu Yuewu."

    "Lu"

"My name is Yue Wu, and my surname is Lu." She corrected, "According to your grammar, my name should be Yue Wu Lu."
