Prince Barton knelt down.  Leo couldn't tell whether it was magic or fear that drove him.  He was lying at Aurora's feet like a pug trying to please his master, like a pile of fat on the ground.  He confessed to Aurora in tears, and kissed Aurora's toes as if reverently.

Looking into Aurora's shining eyes, Leo felt as if his soul was being pulled deep into them.  The golden eyes seemed to be as deep as the stars, and there was only deathly coldness in them.  He felt horrified and quickly looked away.

"Stop, Barton." Aurora did not hide her disgust.  She looked disdainfully at Prince Barton, who was shivering at her feet, and said in a cold voice, "The Mother of the Desert will forgive villains who sincerely atone for their sins. But your sinful behavior is unforgivable." She didn't care about her face, which was pale and sweating profusely.  Prince Barton shouted loudly, "Come here, put shackles on your prince and drag him behind the horse. We have to go back!" Aurora's guards hesitated and remained motionless.  She screamed sternly, "Don't you think it's enough? Do you still want to embarrass yourself here? Do you really have to do this if your relatives are among the people he kills?"

The guards of the Divine Envoy looked at each other, and finally they made a decision to follow Aurora's instructions.

"No, don't come over!" Barton shouted in panic. He waved his arms and tried to struggle, but an invisible force bound him tightly like a spider's thread.  "No, you can't do this, you can't do this to me! I am the ruler of Siris County, and I order you to stop-"

"How long do you want to continue this farce?" Aurora asked.  "Do it. He's just a prisoner now!"

"No, no, you can't do this!" Barton couldn't move. He was almost begging and threatening without any confidence.  "I promise, I promise to cut you all into pieces and send you all to hell!" However, the shackles were still around his neck, and a hemp rope tied his hands.  But when the magic was lifted, he fell to his knees on the ground.  "No, please, Miss God Envoy, please spare me"

He will be put on the back of a horse and dragged along, and a good parade will turn into a parade like a prisoner. He will no longer have any prestige at all. Even if he becomes more vicious, people will only remember the way he made a fool of himself.  Only now did he realize that it was too late to regret it.  If I had known this, why did I do it in the first place?

Aurora¡¯s eyes showed that her decision would not change.

So Prince Barton, who was like a short, fat pig, became crazy again.  He swore and cursed loudly, using all the venom he could muster.  He scolded Aurora, blaspheming the mother of the desert, which in Leo's eyes was just a forgery, but was real in the hearts of the Varians.  The crowd cheered with his every word.  However, in his madness, he couldn't see the hatred and anger on the faces of others.  He only knew how to vent his hatred, but that didn't help.

Leo was sure that Aurora also saw the madness with pure murderous intent in Barton's eyes.  But she simply ignored him.  In the face of absolute strength, all of Barton's machinations are like fragile eggs trying to break a stubborn stone.

"Let's go!" she said without doubt.

The parade was abandoned halfway, but the fun had just begun.

Some able-bodied believers came forward on their own initiative.  They lifted the sedan that Aurora was riding on, and Leo dragged Nianta, who was in shock, to sit next to Aurora.  The team began to march, and a bold rider got on his horse, holding a hemp rope in one hand, and their ruler was tied to the other end of the hemp rope.

The gongs and drums sounded again. Although the streets stunk, their faith was enough to make them forget their fear, let alone the stench.  The sedan slowly moved forward, and believers on both sides of the street knelt down wherever it passed.  They will definitely never forget Aurora's heroic appearance in standing up to the king, nor will they forget the miraculous thunder and lightning spell in their eyes.  Their faces were filled with unshakable piety and fanatical pursuit.  Leo had no doubt that they would be willing to sacrifice their lives for Aurora's word.

The rider followed behind the sedan, tugging hard on the reins.  Prince Barton staggered for a while. In order not to fall down and be dragged along the ground awkwardly, he had to keep up.  It wasn't long before he was unable to hold on, almost weak.  However, he kept yelling all the way, and his curses became more and more unpleasant and unpleasant to listen to.

Finally, someone couldn't bear it anymore, and a shoe flew over everyone's heads, drawing an ugly parabola, and landed at the feet of Prince Barton.  The latter obviously did not expect that his people would cheer in the streets with such an affectionate gesture.  He was stunned for a moment and staggered by the rope.  There was a brief silence on the street, but then another smelly shoe flew out, completely igniting the citizens' powder keg.  They threw everything they could, including shoes, leather buckles, stones, and bricks from the streetall towards Prince Patton's head. The bag was hit like a downpour, making jingling noises all the way.

Leo quickly got tired of this scene. He looked away and couldn't help but sarcastically said, "This is really a good show."

    "what are you saying?"

Is she pretending to be stupid?  "Didn't you do this?" He sneered, "So many people are cheering for you, willing to lick your toes to make you smile, and even draw knives to kill each other."

"I am not one of those witches in history books who brought disaster to the country and the people."

"As far as I'm concerned, it's not bad." The shouts of mountains and tsunamis could be heard on both sides of the street.  "They are more religious and more fanatical than before. It's all because you put on a good show."

Aurora looked at him with wide eyes. After a while, she suddenly burst into laughter and leaned forward and backward on the cushion.  "Am I sick or are you sick?" She laughed loudly, but her expression changed at every turn.  She snorted with a straight face, "I don't need to be like this at all. I don't care about their three kowtows and nine bows. Their faith is like worthless food to me. It's tasteless to eat, and it's a pity to throw it away."

Leo shook his head.  Faith is not just about pleasing the gods, it also allows her to sit on the throne.  "Are you going to depose Patton and make yourself king?" he said. "Perhaps everyone in this city will cheer for this."

"Your enthusiasm is unusual." Aurora stared into his eyes, "Why should I do that?"

"This is extremely easy for you." Leo replied.  "You can just abandon the obstructive puppet. You are not an idiot, Aurora. You know what kind of measures will make you popular and allow you to do whatever you want-"

"Of course I know, I don't need you to teach me." Aurora narrowed her eyes.  Her veil obscured her face, and the black concealed her expression well.  So much so that Leo couldn't see even a little bit of her thoughts at this moment.  Leo suddenly discovered that a piece of black gauze was a simple and perfect way to cover up.  People say that eyes cannot deceive, but Leo knew that for magicians, eyes are easier to deceive than any other part of the body.  Even when they are galloping in bed, their eyes can still do all kinds of tricks.  There is one beside him now, and Leo believes that the other one will do the same.

It suddenly occurred to him that I had better wear a mask.  The wife wears a veil and the husband wears a mask.  This is truly a match made in heaven, a perfect family.

"Are you listening to me?" This time Leo heard it.  She is angry.

"Of course, beautiful lady, I'm listening."

Aurora tilted her head and looked at it for a while, as if to confirm whether what he said was the truth or outright perfunctory.  But does it make any difference?  Or does she really regard me as her husband?  That is losing his wife and losing his troops.

¡°¡This is far less endearing than chaos.¡± She continued the previous topic.  "Don't forget which demon god I believe in."

How could he forget?  "Craig," he said quietly.

"What do demons like?" She asked and answered herself, "Chaos and destruction. This is their favorite pastime. My faith is not a short-lived ghost who died early, but gods of glorious justice and a scale that promotes justice."

Leo couldn't help but interrupt her, "So are you satisfied with your demon leader today?"

"Is cynicism your profession? Or have you forgotten your job and can't even make a potion that makes people unable to speak?"

"There is a medicine that can make people deaf and blind."

"So you always hear lies and see illusions." She pointed out unceremoniously.  Leo just pretended not to hear.  Unexpectedly, Airola stretched out her hand and pulled over his shoulder.  "You'd better be less suspicious and less presumptuous. In my opinion, it's not only meaningless, but also completely wrong and ridiculous."

    ¡°I think it¡¯s absolutely correct every time.¡±

Aurora stared at him angrily, "I promise, one day you will know how ridiculous your self-righteousness is. It is enough to kill you, skin you, and draw your bones."

"Then I'll wait. I'm eagerly looking forward to it." Leo said without flinching, "You must think so too."

There was a moment of silence in the sedan chair covered with flower petals.  Aurora took a few breaths, her chest rising and falling violently.  "Can we stop arguing? You are my husband."

"This time my ears did not make a mistake. I heard it clearly. It was a lie, just like me admitting that you are my wife. Do you believe such words? Words are like the wind. I can't hear or see anything.  Sincerity.¡±

"Sincerity? What kind of sincerity do you want?" Aurora asked shyly, "Take off your clothes to show you?"

It will be a matter of time.  He snorted coldly, "No need now."

"Listen, today was just an accident." Aurora suppressed her anger and said word by word, "Do you understand? An accident. It was not my special arrangement, and I didn't expect it at all. Who knows?  How did that idiot become like this?"

    "He's possessed."

"That 'devil' is not me!" Aurora screamed, "Don't blame Sang and Huai!"

"Mr. Li, Mr. Leo¡ª¡ª" Nianta beside her suddenly spoke timidly. She glanced at the angry Aurora and quickly lowered her head in fear.  "Then do I still have to marry him?"

"Why don't you marry?" Aurora said quickly, "You can't go back on what you said. You have to marry him, even if he becomes a wax figure!"

"Why? This is not only difficult, but also meaningless." Leo could hardly suppress his anger, "You gave up your puppet and plan to push Nianta into the ring of fire?"

Aurora narrowed her eyes and looked at him, and said with a sneer, "Whenever you apologize to me for your words, your unfounded speculations and delusions, and your slander against me, I will tell you the truth."
