The sun was shining brightly outside the main hall, and the yellow-orange sand reflected the dazzling sunlight.  Leo squinted his eyes to reduce the glare of the sun. He found that Thales's brass chest armor was like a mirror, blinding him.  He avoided looking and glanced around.  He saw an inexplicable look of encouragement in Monk Mario's eyes.

"Just here, don't go too far." The red-robed monk said.

On both sides are the gazes of silent monks hidden behind hoods, and behind them are desert warriors holding swords tightly.  Leo took a deep breath and said, "Let's hurry up. If my friends see us dueling in an inappropriate manner, we will be in trouble."

Sir Thales snorted coldly, "A coward who is afraid of women."

"Your divine messenger is also a woman," Leo raised his eyebrows, "Didn't you give her a toe tip?"

"White devil, I swear, I will definitely break your tui, make you kneel in front of me, and stuff your mouth full of shit."

"Swear? To whom?" Leo looked at him with a sneer, "Watch your tongue, I think it is more suitable for convincing women. And as far as I know, I am not the only low-class person who is rude and unqualified.  Even the gods hate it.¡±

"It's you who should keep your mouth shut, white devil." Viscount Arnoldko shook his mouth, with deep hatred in his eyes.  "If it weren't for a duel, you would have been arrested. You digging rat. You should be grateful, instead of having a snake-like heart and putting the mouth that fell into the smelly ditch on your face.  superior."

"You didn't allow me to fight back in the duel, and now you don't even allow me to say what the dying man wants to say?" The alchemist chopped up the soft gravel under his feet and rubbed the sand with the soles of his shoes.  "Or is it that when a person is about to die, his words are good, and I happened to tell the truth? Now that I think about it, I have the gift of a prophet, right?"

"Stop selling your words." Arnoldko shouted, "You monkey."

"I will definitely cut off your head and stuff it into your crotch and into your own ass!" Thales became more and more irritable.  This is just right, Leo squinted his eyes and thought scornfully, it would be better to get more angry until he completely loses his mind.

"Stop your insults." The red-robed monk said, "You are warriors. Please at least have some dignity as a warrior."

"Sorry, I'm just a devil in your eyes." Leo coldly declined the red-robed monk's kindness.  He stepped closer to his opponent, drawing the runesword.  The blade of the sword gleams, attracting attention.

"No," Arnoldko also pulled out his long sword, "you can't duel with your witchcraft weapon. Use my sword."

Leo shrugged, took the Viscount's long sword, and waved it in the air a few times.  "It's very heavy." He said coldly, "We'd better use iron picks or mining hoes."

"Thales used the same sword. Equal opportunity."

    "You are so funny. Arnoldko."

The soldiers formed a semicircle with their spears raised, and the desert warriors gathered behind Leo.  Thales and the Alchemist stood facing each other.  Leo could feel the gazes of the desert warriors behind him.  It contains hope and confusion, as well as some guilt and uneasiness.

"Sir, don't you want to say something?"

The distinguished noble gentleman pursed his lips, squatted half-crouched, held the sword in both hands, and made a fencing gesture, motionless.  "I will cut off your tongue and gouge out your eyes." He gritted his teeth.

"That's all?" Leo smiled, "I thought I could hear something else. What a pity."

"Just say what you want to say, white devil, you will never be able to say it later."

"I want to know" The alchemist said with a bad smile, "Has your back been enjoyed by your prince?" Before he finished speaking, he had already rushed out, the sword fell, and he saw the h¨²n on the other person's face.  Angry and frightened expressions.  He smiled contemptuously, deflected his sword, and grazed the opponent's ear.  Then he took a step back and stood again holding the sword.

Thales rubbed his ears and found that he was unharmed.  He suddenly laughed loudly, "You don't dare to kill me, you don't dare to hurt me at all¡ª¡ª"

Leo shook the heavy sword and said, "Great Sir, I thought you knew how to ni¨¤ok¨´."

"White Devil, don't you dare take action." Thales smiled sharply, "Today is the day you die."

Mr. Jazz took three steps forward and launched an attack.  His action was so obvious that Leo didn't even raise his sword to block, but just made a light and half spin to avoid his slash.  The opponent's moves were wide open and closed, and the sound of a long sword breaking through the wind sounded in Leo's ears.  "You should use an ax instead of an embroidery needle." The alchemist sneered,He tapped his toes and jumped to the side silently. With a wave of his long sword, Thales' rhythm was interrupted.  "You reckless man, a brainless slime monster."

"You are the monster with a mind full of scum." Thales screamed sharply, "The devil who brings disaster."

"If your mistress tears off the veil, you will know who is the real source of fear." Leo retreated continuously to deal with Thales's continuous whirlwind blows.  I have to say that his basic skills are solid, at least better than him.  "But it's obvious that you took good care of her, especially in bed."

"Shut up! You're a bed bug with ulcers on your private parts."

"A vicious curse." Leo curled his lips, raised his long sword to block Thales's slash, and drew the sword's edge to the side, while he nimbly stepped out of his attack range.  "I really want to prove it, but unlike you, I don't have a habit of violence. You'd better wait to put on the dog leash when you go back, and crawl out to hang out with the woman leading you."

"I swear," Thales said, his face flushing like an inflated pufferfish.  "I will definitely pull out your tongue, let you taste all the pain, and die in silent wailing-"

"Thales," Arnoldko reminded loudly, "don't talk nonsense to him, he is trying to anger you¡ª¡ª"

"Your Excellency, Your Majesty the Viscount," Leo looked away from Thales, who was panting and showing fatigue.  He was in no rush to attack.  He stared at Arnoldko coldly.  "Please shut your mouth, otherwise I don't care about the agreement - the reason why the devil becomes the devil is that we don't keep our promises. Anyway, as far as you are concerned, we have no glory at all - I will kill you like a pig.  Drain your blood. Yes, maybe we will die, but you will be the first to die."

    Arnoldko¡¯s face turned pale.

"Okay, Sir Thales, are you not going to attack? Why are you standing there like a wooden stake?" The alchemist sneered disdainfully, "Or, coward, are you praying to kill me with this blazing sun?  But the iron bucket, I think you will be roasted first. Ah, I'm hungry."

"Damn it!" The young knight jumped up angrily and rushed towards the alchemist.  "You are the one who should be ripped apart!"

He quickly swung his sword several times, bringing up a sword curtain. Leo resisted for a while, and then retreated continuously. A soldier quickly stepped away behind him to make more space.  Leo bent down to dodge the sweep of the long sword. The long sword danced in a circle to block the opponent, and then opened a wider distance.

"Coward, fight back!" Thales shouted while slashing, "Cut me, kill me!"

"You are so thick-skinned." The alchemist sneered, "I would like to kill you with a sword, but those spears will pierce me the next moment and pin me to the ground. It would be such a miserable death, and I don't want to do that.  Ridiculous death.¡±

"So you are a complete softie."

¡°I¡¯m just smarter than you, idiot.¡±

Thales moved his steps, and the heavy sword swayed, bringing up a reflection of the sun.  Leo squinted his eyes. His back was to the sun, while his opponent was facing the scorching sun.  He calculated the distance silently and remained alert, sweat dripping from his forehead and rolling down his chin.  But he knew that Taylor was hotter than him and more tired.  He couldn't hold it anymore.  His steps were shaky and he was breathing heavily.

Jazz's long sword slashed at Leo, "Devil! Come and kill me!" Thales shouted angrily.  Leo was convinced that his blind concessions and verbal exchanges had caused the young knight to lose his calm judgment.  So he raised his heavy sword to block the knight's long sword, and then swung his sword to slash the sword's blade.  The impact caused the opponent to stagger.

Thales¡¯s eyes burst out with fire.

The alchemist took time to adjust his breathing and raised his fingers provocatively at him, "Come on, you idiot."

A roar of hatred came from Thales's throat.  However, he was tired, and his offensive was slow and full of flaws.  And Leo is still waiting for the opportunity.  He used a step back to distance himself, and used his long sword to resist the sword attack. He took one step back, one step, and another His feet suddenly became soft, and fear seemed to grasp his heart tightly with an invisible hand.  The alchemist knew what was under his feet - he finally understood the information that had leaked out of Mario's monk's eyes before - fortunately, he quickly took out his left foot and rolled on the spot facing the sword.  Although he was embarrassed, he was still unscathed.

"What's the matter, did you lose your strength so quickly, soft-footed shrimp?" Thales mocked wantonly and insulted loudly.  "Be obedient, so that I can rip out your tongue."

"I think you will be disappointed." Leo told him clearly.

Thales snorted coldly, and the long sword suddenly attacked the alchemist from the right side.  He moves silently, dodging attacks, and calculating distances.  He bent down to avoid the blow, took a step back, and took two steps to the left.  The gravel beneath my feet was loosening.  He stepped forward to meet him, and at the same time raised his sword to attack.  The body's instinct to sense danger forced Thales to raise his sword.  He quickly sheathed his sword and jumped past Thales.  They resume their confrontation, and the Alchemist goes all out.  He shook the sword, bringing up a bright and extinguishing light.  Thales raised his hand to shield himself from the blinding light.  However, Leo roared and stabbed his eyes suddenly.  The long sword was like a sharp arrow, and its decisive momentum made the opponent feel the threat of death.  He waved his sword wildly in an attempt to resist, while stumbling back.  One step, two steps Leo gave another threatening shout, turned around, and stabbed Thales's eyes with the sword at a faster speed.  Jazz retreated faster.  By the time he took the fifth step back, his feet had already stepped onto the soft sand; by the time he took the sixth step, his right foot had been swallowed up by the yellow sand from the ankle down, and then he screamed in horror.  He lost his balance and fell on his back on the quicksand

"Tales!" Arnoldko ran over quickly.  He tried to pull the other person out, but Quicksand showed no mercy to the aggressor.  They don't care how noble the Viscount's status is.  The Viscount pulled out his tui in a panic and stumbled to the ground.  "Soldier, pull him out, quickly!"

The soldiers hesitated.  Thales struggled as he called for help, only to sink deeper and deeper.

"Idiot, use a spear." Arnoldko snatched the spear from a soldier's hand.  He held the tip himself and handed the tail shank to Thales.  "Thales, hell, calm down and grab it! Grab the spear and I'll pull you out."

But Thales¡¯ fear spread like wildfire.  Several times he missed the spear.  The constant twisting and struggling resulted in an accelerated sinking.  The quicksand covered his body, and then quickly reached his chin, leaving only his mouth, nose, and eyes.  He let out a desperate sob, and his eyes were ashen.  After a while, there was no trace on the quicksand.

"You killed him. It was you, white devil!" Arnoldko strode towards Leo, pointing the spear in his hand directly at the alchemist.  "You killed him and you have to pay for it."

Leo calmly opened the spear in front of him with his long sword and said with a sneer, "I acted according to your request, Lord Viscount. I didn't even touch him. He fell into the quicksand by himself."

"You forced him to go in."

"He's not an idiot. If I tell him to die, will he commit suicide at my command?"

"Shut up, soldier," Arnoldko shouted angrily, "get him!"

"Don't move! Stand still!" The red-robed monk returned Leo's sword to him and shouted.  The desert warriors who still obeyed his orders stood up from behind him.  They held hatchets and scimitars with a unique military indifference, the kind of indifference that did not care about life or death.  The soldiers remained motionless.  The alchemist noticed that there was joy in their eyes.

"No, Your Majesty the Viscount. You'd better not move." Ashbourne said slowly, "If my ears weren't deaf, what I heard was that you didn't allow Leo to fight back and start a duel. That's exactly what he said  Did it. The duel ended. Extraordinarily well. As for death, I think you have seen a duel in which no one died? For a warrior, death in a duel is the proof of glory. Unless you deny his glory, for it  Revenge him as a shameful thief.¡±

Arnoldko snorted coldly, staring at the red-robed monk with hateful eyes.  There is an eerie calm on the quicksand.  "Ashbourne!" the viscount grabbed the spear and shouted to the red-robed monk, "I swear, you will regret this!"

The alchemist touched the rune sword, feeling the pulse of magic power, and coughed twice, "Oh, Lord Viscount." There was blatant joking in his voice, "Please remember your oath. We cannot tolerate false oaths.  God can¡¯t stand lies the most. The lessons are right before our eyes¡ª¡ª¡±

"Of course I will remember it!" Arnoldko, who was about to explode with anger, shouted, "You guys colluded and it was you who killed Thales. None of you can escape! Ashbourne, please wait for His Highness the Prince  Let¡¯s judge!¡±

"Collusion?" the alchemist sneered again and again, "Didn't you pass through the sea of ??quicksand? You should be familiar with where there is quicksand and where there is not. How could he fall into the quicksand? As far as I can see," he pointed to his own  Head, "There must be something wrong with him here."

"¡ª¡ªIf Duke Barton had even a little bit of sense, he would not have convicted us." Monk Mario said disapprovingly, "The White Devil did not break his oath. This is a fact that everyone has seen with their own eyes.  Oh, it¡¯s just that kid¡¯s luck is really bad.¡±

    "Does he deserve to die?"

"No one deserves to die, but this is the way you choose."

"Don't you think??Don¡¯t know what it means to treat each other with courtesy?  "Leo stared at Arnoldko. He noticed that his hand rubbing the sword made the viscount extremely uneasy. The shining runes on it were the greatest deterrent. "You taught me a way to deal with you.  : That¡¯s an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.  "

"The same is true for His Royal Highness the Prince's order?" Arnoldko tremblingly took out a piece of paper from his arms, as if it was his amulet.

"First of all, I have dealt with the prince, seen the world, and am their guest, so don't use the prince's name to scare me." Leo said disdainfully, "Secondly, I am not a Valian, nor a  The prince's decrees have little effect on me, fellow citizens of Shires County - it all depends on my mood."

"By order of Prince Barton," the Viscount read aloud to the piece of paper, "I declare that Celestine Leo, the alchemist of Ainbro, enjoys our respect and assistance. His companion, the beautiful  Lady Nyanta, Heiress of the Riverlands, is my honored guest. Anyone who dares to be rude to her will incur our wrath¡ª'"

"Aha," the alchemist interrupted him with a mocking look, "The gap between orders and actions is really wonderful, don't you think so, Lord Viscount Arnold? It's too hard, so you changed to sincerity?"  ?¡±

The soldiers had anger in their eyes.  The Viscount of Siris County blinked nervously and rubbed his hands on his clothes unconsciously.

"Barton is not considered a waste." The red-robed monk commented, "But his men have too many wastes."

Arnold's face instantly turned pale. He took a step back and looked left and right.  The soldiers did not avoid his eyes at all. Like the desert warriors, they looked at him with contempt.  Monk Mario spat with a half-smile.

"I originally thought you would command your soldiers to attack, but now it seems that you have always been arrogant. I really don't know where your courage comes from." Leo suppressed his smile.  "What would you do if, Arnoldko, I mean if, I felt that your attitude throughout this whole thing was an insult to me, and I challenged you to a sword fight? Do you think I'm worthy of you?  Pull out the sword? Or will you refuse, even though you know that I will look down on you, spit at you, and kick your ass in front of everyone? Ah, forget it, I know the answer from your eyes."

    The Viscount's face became paler.

"Your appearance makes me feel guilty." Leo shrugged and put away his sword.  "I'll just do it and agree to your request. We accept the invitation from Duke Barton, no, Prince Barton -"

    "Leo¡ª¡ª" Ashbourne shouted.

"I think we should take our leave, Ashborn. We have disturbed you long enough. It's time for us to set off." said the alchemist. "Otherwise, there's no telling when we'll get home, don't you think? Darl.  Mr. Ma."
