    Chapter 2 Encounter 1

    Author: Zhang Yang

On the way home, a drizzle fell in the sky, like a light curtain of water, like a graceful girl.  Mingzhu opened the car window and looked out.  Isolated fields and hills stand quietly, as well as cows eating green grass in the fields.  Mingzhu admired and tasted it to her heart's content, gradually forgetting the humiliation she suffered at the "Shadeway Food Company" in the morning, and indulged in the embrace of nature.

After driving along Haizhen for more than two hours, the car finally arrived in Liancheng.

After getting off the bus, she took her bag and stopped in front of a small grocery store opposite the station. She found a stone that was not exposed to the rain and sat down to rest.  Just as she lowered her head to sort out the things in her bag.  At this time, a familiar voice sounded in my ears.

¡°Boss, do you have any ¡®Hongmei¡¯ brand cigarettes here?¡±

Mingzhu slowly raised her head and saw an old-fashioned Phoenix bicycle. A pair of slender legs wearing white jeans were straddling the bicycle, and she was wearing brown sneakers.  Looking up, she saw a tall, handsome boy wearing a black T-shirt with a crotch that looked like a tiger cub, looking at her with a smile.  When she met his deep eyes, she could not help but cheer in a low voice:

"Hei Zai!" Mingzhu stood up and looked at him.

"Pearl!" Hei Zai was even more surprised when he saw the pearl.

Hei Zai was Mingzhu¡¯s senior in high school. He was four years older than Mingzhu, and Mingzhu was only a freshman in high school the year she graduated.  Hei Zai is very handsome, with ancient skin, Chinese character face, high nose bridge, thick eyebrows, handsome eyes, and rosy lips.  He has a pair of talking eyes, full of masculinity, elegant temperament, and looks very much like Louis Koo in figure and appearance.  In her eyes, he was just like the Prince Charming described in fairy tales. The difference was that the black boy was not riding a white horse, but a black bicycle.

After not seeing each other for several years, Mingzhu has grown into a beautiful and charming woman.

"So beautiful! Her eyes are as clear as morning dew, a pure and beautiful girl!" Hei Zai admired in his heart, looking at the pearl intoxicatedly.

The sky is hazy, the rain is hazy, the scenery is hazy, and the people are also hazy. The two people's eyes are watching each other silently.

"Don't you want a cigarette? Why don't you answer the call several times? Are you possessed by evil spirits?" The boss's playful question woke up the boy and girl.

"How much?" Hei Zai asked with an embarrassed smile.

Looking at that touching smile, Mingzhu¡¯s heart kept beating like a rabbit, ¡°thumping! thumping!¡±, with a blush on her face.

"I'm leaving first!" After saying that, she turned around and headed home.  Seeing her leaving, Hei Zai hurriedly took out the money and put it on the counter. He quickly got on his bicycle and followed Mingzhu without caring about the change.

Along the way, there are trees on both sides.

That afternoon, it had just rained heavily.  The sky after the rain is exceptionally bright, and the afterglow of the sunset shines on the winding green forest, dancing with the colors of life.  The fresh and inviting air and the shrubs on the lawn formed an intoxicating picture.

Hei Zai walked around after school, admiring the scenery and wandering around.  After turning around, he found Mingzhu and her deskmate Liu Tingting walking in front of him, seeming to be talking softly, so he bit their tails out of curiosity and left.

When Mingzhu was chatting happily with Liu Tingting, she suddenly turned around and saw Hei Zai slowly following behind them.

"" Mingzhu suddenly raised her voice and said: "There are some things that shouldn't be involved now. If you say it randomly, you will be responsible for the consequences" She deliberately lengthened her voice and said with a pink face, deliberately  He glanced at Hei Zai unintentionally.  After hearing this, Hei Zai was even more ashamed and ran home as fast as he could escape.  From now on, I will never have any thoughts of taking any rash action again.

Time flies, and three years have passed since graduation.  Hei Zai dropped out of school on his own initiative and learned carpentry from a relative despite his parents' objections.  In just one year, you can make a complete set of stylish furniture yourself.

The mid-1990s was the peak period of development of China's stone industry.  The hometown of Heizai and Mingzhu is "Liancheng", a famous stone carving home at home and abroad.  It is a small peninsula standing on the west coast of the Taiwan Strait.  This charming little peninsula is a small town with no mountains and no fields for farming. There are twelve villages scattered on the island. Nine of them are near the sea and they make a living from the sea. The other three villages have their own long-standing traditions.  handicraft.  Xipu Village is good at mud work, Xihou Village is most famous for its woodwork, and Fengling Village is most famous for its stone sculptures.  From the Longshan Temple in Taipei, Taiwan during the Qing Dynasty to the ten major buildings in Beijing after the founding of the People's Republic of China, and later to the cemetery built under the leadership of Mr. Tan Kah Kee in Jimei, the craftsmen of Fengling Village have left their mark.

Growing up under the influence of the culture and art that has been passed down through the ages in his hometown, Heizi has had a strong interest in sculpture since he was a child.  After graduating from high school in 1995, Hei ZaiHe learned carpentry from a distant relative in a neighboring village. One year after he learned carpentry, that is, in August 1996, Hei Zai threw down his saw and axe, and followed a carpenter with hard work.  He studied stone carving from a well-known "head-skilled master" in his hometown.  In the Liancheng stone carving world, the completion of a work is roughly divided into three steps, the most important of which is "grabbing the blank", which is the shape.  The look and shape of the entire work come from the hands of the stylist, so he is called the "head-hand master".  Next, another master will perform the next step of detailed engraving based on the shapes and lines drawn by the "hand master", which is called the "second-hand master".  Finally, the apprentice chops fine lines on it, and the work is now complete.

With his good art foundation and hard study, Hei Zai soon graduated from the art school two years later.  Now he is a well-known technician at home and abroad.  The finished products carved by Hei Zai's own hands are always lifelike and lifelike in shape, so they are deeply loved by merchants.

"I have searched for her a thousand times, but I can't find her anywhere!" For more than three years, he has suffered from lovesickness.  Since graduating from high school, Hei Zai has missed Mingzhu eagerly. He has stopped in front of her house several times, hoping to see Mingzhu appear, but he always came back disappointed.  Hei Zai did not stop missing Mingzhu because of this. This time he decided to express his love to Mingzhu again, but will Mingzhu accept his courtship this time?
