About half an hour later, Mingzhu rushed to the lobby door of Xiamen Star Hotel without stopping and panting.

This is a 24-story building located by the lake with a pleasant scenery. There are many tall buildings, the wind is beautiful and the sun is warm, the egrets are chirping, and the winding paths lead to tranquility. It is a charming place.

Mingzhu took out the hotel address from her bag, checked and confirmed it was correct, and then breathed a sigh of relief.  She reached out and took out a white silk handkerchief, wiped the sweat from her forehead, and straightened her clothes a little.

A tall, handsome security guard outside the door was directing the incoming and outgoing buses in the driveway.  At this time, a fat security guard of medium height, nearly 40 years old, and with a kind face walked out of the lobby. He was wearing a dark blue uniform.

"Uncle! Where is the personnel department going?" Mingzhu stepped forward and asked.

"Which position are you applying for?" the fat security guard looked at Mingzhu with his round eyes and asked.

"I, I'm here to apply for the job at the main station!" Mingzhu said politely.

"Sorry! The hotel stipulates that employees are not allowed to pass through the lobby. Please come this way!" the fat security guard said, leading Mingzhu through the security post at the back door of the hotel, and then took the employee elevator along the underground passage to the personnel department on the 13th floor.  department.

Arriving on the thirteenth floor, Mingzhu looked up and looked around, only to see several applicants already waiting on the guest sofas outside the office door.

The fat security guard led Mingzhu into the office. He said to a young woman with a ponytail and a blue uniform: "Xiao Zhang, this girl is here for an interview at the reception desk. I leave it to you!"

"I'm busy, let her wait for a while!" Zhang Lili raised her eyes and nodded to Mingzhu and the others, and then immersed herself in sorting out the information. She was Zhang Lili, the clerk of the hotel's human resources manager.

"Just wait here for a moment!" said the fat security guard.

"Okay, thank you!" Mingzhu replied, standing in her original position and waiting for her resignation.  The fat security guard turned and left the office.

Zhang Lili is a fair-faced woman in her twenties. The only drawback is that she has freckles all over her face.

¡°Please sit aside for a moment, I¡¯ll call you later!¡± She looked at Mingzhu and said.

"Okay, thank you!" Mingzhu responded and walked out of the office and sat down on the guest sofa at the door.

In the blink of an eye, it was almost twelve o'clock in the afternoon, and the candidates finally left the office one by one.  In the end, only Zhang Mingzhu, who was anxious and embarrassed, and a little boy who arrived later than Mingzhu were left sitting for the interview.

"Next!" Mingzhu stood up hurriedly, but unexpectedly the boy next to her moved faster than her and got ahead of her: "I'll get there before you!" He turned around and said to her in a cooing voice, and then walked away.  Entered the office.

Mingzhu was stunned and had no choice but to sit on the guest sofa and wait.

Finally at twelve o'clock, the boy came out with a smile on his face and whispered to Mingzhu in a triumphant voice: "Great, I'm admitted!" He waved his hand and made a graceful gesture to Mingzhu.

"Congratulations!" Mingzhu congratulated him with a smile.

"I also wish you good luck!" The boy said, shook his head and left.

At this time, the sound of high-heeled shoes "Pap-tat! Pap-tat!" came from the house, coming closer and closer.  Mingzhu raised her eyes and saw Zhang Lili twisting her water snake waist and appearing in front of Mingzhu with her lotus steps: "Come in!"

"Okay!" Mingzhu stood up from the guest sofa calmly and followed her into the office.

The office was already empty, only Zhang Lili and Zhang Mingzhu were left.  Zhang Lili motioned Mingzhu to sit down on the armchair opposite her, and then asked her, "What's your name? Why can't I find your resume here?" She asked, carefully flipping through the resumes on the table.

"My name is Zhang Mingzhu, from Liancheng."

"How did you learn that our hotel is recruiting employees?"

"Oh, that's it. I saw in the newspaper yesterday that your hotel is recruiting front desk staff, and I wanted to seize this opportunity, so" Mingzhu was a little nervous, and her tongue was a little tied when she spoke.

¡°This is my resume!¡± She handed her resume to the HR lady.

After Xiao Zhang read it over, he smiled slightly and said: "You are late, the staff has just been filled, so be it! Since you came all the way here for the interview, I will help you ask which positions are still lacking in the hotel.  Staff, I will reply to you in three days. You put your resume here first, and we will keep it safe for you. This is my contact number. In three days, you can press the number above to call me!" After she finished speaking,  He slowly took out a business card from the business card holder on the brown desk and gave it to Mingzhu.

"Thank you! I'll take my leave now," Mingzhu stood up and answered politely.? Put the business card in his pocket, bid farewell to Xiao Zhang, turned around and left the office gracefully.

After leaving the hotel, Mingzhu was a little disheartened and worried about whether she could pass this test.  If the hotel doesn't hire any more people, she will have to return to her hometown, which will make people laugh.  Although Ms. Zhang from the HR Department said she would get back to her in three days, but where would she stay during these two days?

"Son, here is a thousand yuan. You should keep it with you just in case. If the employer is not sure that they want you, you can stay in the Bayi Hotel first and wait until the next day to find another job. If not, go home immediately.  Come. Be more careful when you go out" Mingzhu thought of her father's warning before leaving, so she decided to stay and wait for the news.

Mingzhu carried her luggage and found the "August 1st" hotel her father called.

This is an old building with only three floors. Although it is called a hotel, it is actually no different from an ordinary guest house.

"Excuse me, are there any rooms here?" Mingzhu asked the receptionist.

"Hello! The room is available. Miss, would you like a room or a suite?" the receptionist said.

    "Are there any single rooms?"

    ¡°Single rooms are available!¡±

"How much does it cost per night?"

"50rmb per night, plus a 50rmb deposit for incidentals, we will refund it to you when you check out!"

"Well, give me a room!" After Mingzhu said this, she touched her handbag with both hands, and her beauty suddenly turned pale. The wallet she had put in the bag had disappeared without knowing when.  The zipper is open.  All of Mingzhu's money and the phone numbers and addresses of some of Hei Zai's close friends were in the wallet.

"It must have been stolen by that kid!" She suddenly remembered the scene of being hit near the station, "Damn thief, if I catch you, I won't cut you into pieces!" Mingzhu was so angry that she clenched her fists and spoke with jade teeth.  Grind.  Mingzhu, who was in a foreign land without any friends, was stunned for a moment, not knowing what to do.

¡°Miss, could you please show me your ID, thank you!¡± the front desk lady urged.

"I'm sorry! I'll think about it again!" Mingzhu said hurriedly to the waiter.  Only then did she remember her ID, so she hurriedly looked in her bag, "Fortunately, I didn't lose my ID!" Looking at the ID card in her hand, she couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief and secretly rejoiced.

The boarding failed, so Mingzhu had no choice but to leave the "August 1st Hotel" with her luggage dejectedly.

After leaving the "August 1st Hotel", Mingzhu walked aimlessly southward along the lakeside on the stone road that had been eroded by wind and rain. Just now, the sun was shining brightly and the sky was clear. Suddenly, there were dark clouds, and then there was a huge thunder.  There was a loud noise, followed by a heavy downpour.
