    Queen Liliuokalani succeeded her brother Kalakaua on January 17, 1891.  In August of the same year, her husband Dominez died.  After taking the throne, she was determined to amend the constitution because the existing bayonet constitution planned and formulated by the Americans restricted her power.  Unfortunately, Hawaii at that time was basically controlled by the Americans, and reforms were difficult to implement.  After a brief reign of less than three years, Queen Liliuokalani was overthrown in 1893.  The Americans established the Republic of Hawaii the following year.  But until the 1890s, the Kingdom of Hawaii existed as an independent monarchy and was recognized by the United States, Britain, France, Japan, and Germany at that time.

    However, as the history of the kingdom evolved.  The Hawaiian monarchy was gradually threatened. However, this threat was not taken seriously by the royal family until 1887, when King David Kalakaiva was forced to sign the "Bayonet Constitution."  On January 14, 1893, Queen Lily attempted to promulgate her new constitution, although she was unsuccessful.  But the move eventually became the trigger for a coup.  On the same day, the opponents held a meeting and determined the ultimate goal of the action: to depose the queen, overthrow the monarchy, and seek support and even integration from the United States.

Wilson received information about the coup.  Wilson requested the arrest of 13 members of the dissenters' security committee and the declaration of martial law throughout the country.  But because members of the Security Committee have very close political ties with U.S. Secretary of State George L. Stephens.  The request for arrest was rejected by the top judge and cabinet ministers because they believed that an arrest would cause further escalation of the situation.

    Afterwards, Wilson negotiated with opposition leader Thurston, but the result failed, so Wilson began to recruit supporters to fight against the opposition.  In the end, they gathered 496 people, ready to protect the Queen's safety at any time.  On January 17, a police officer was shot and wounded while barring a weapons-laden wagon from the Honolulu Rifles, a unit of the safety committee headed by Lauren Thurston.  The beginning of the coup.  The Security Council was concerned that the shooting would reveal their whereabouts and that the Royal Government would take armed action, thus scuttling the coup plan in its infancy. Therefore, the Council initiated the coup.  They organized about 1,500 heavily armed soldiers from the Honolulu Rifles and marched to the palace.  Eventually, these non-Indigenous soldiers were stationed at Ariolani Palace, just a street away from the Royal Palace, and awaited the Queen's reply!

    At the same time, the committee sought help from U.S. Secretary of State George L. Stephens and requested U.S. troops to land in Honolulu, the capital of Hawaii, to ensure the personal and property safety of ordinary American residents without combat capabilities.  Finally??Stephens summoned an armed company of marines and two companies of sailors to Hawaii, and the 162 soldiers landed successfully on January 16.  Although this force is well-equipped, they have always maintained a relatively neutral position. They did not enter the palace, actually participate in the coup, nor occupied any territory, nor even fired a shot. However, their presence did further stimulate the local people.  The fighting spirit of the Americans has put a lot of pressure on the Hawaiian royal family.

    In the end, under the Queen's purpose of "avoiding bloodshed" and the strong advice of her cronies and ministers, Queen Liliuokalani announced her surrender.  The Honolulu Rifles occupied government buildings, disbanded the Royal Guard, and declared a provisional government.  The coup of 1893 was successful and the Kingdom of Hawaii was overthrown.  In 1895, Hawaiians who supported the queen, led by Wilcox, plotted to launch an uprising, but failed.  Nearly two hundred people were sentenced to severe sentences.  The unknowing Queen was also sentenced to five years of hard labor and fined $5,000.

    Because the Hawaiians reacted strongly and the public was angry, the authorities were worried about triggering another uprising, so they reduced the penalty.  After the United States acquired Hawaii, its strategic position in the Far East and Pacific became extremely favorable, and a new era of competition for hegemony in the Far East and Pacific began.

    The movement for Hawaiian sovereignty continues.

    Many real Hawaiians, they and their descendants have always been fighting for the democratic sovereignty of Hawaii. They refuse to recognize the rule of the United States. A free Hawaii is the lifelong dream of many of them.

    The world war brought them opportunities, especially after China and the United States had bad relations and declared war on each other, it gave them hope of restoring Hawaii's sovereignty.

    "A fully sovereign Hawaii will make countless contributions to the peace of the Far East and the world." In 1942, when meeting with Assano Davis Sadund, the leader of the Hawaiian restoration movement, Wang Hengyue, the President of the Republic of China  He said: "In order to restore the independence of Hawaii, China will exert its due power to support your just actions."

    With the support of the Chinese people, everything will be easier.

    On June 28, 1943, Assano Davis Sadund and his followers announced the establishment of the "Provisional Government of the Kingdom of Hawaii" in Nanjing, the capital of China. Sadund himself served as the "Chairman of the Acting Regent Committee of the Kingdom of Hawaii"  ¡± and ¡°Acting Secretary of the Interior, Kingdom of Hawaii.¡±

    This is a historic moment, which means that the United States' stealing of Hawaii is completely unjustified and illegal.

    On the day the "Provisional Government of the Kingdom of Hawaii" was established, it was recognized by China, Germany, Italy, and Russia.

    Now, the Chinese can devote themselves to competing with the Americans for hegemony in the Pacific
