Fifteenth Sulla Invitation

Long before the arrival of the Athas people, the native civilization of Kavana planet rose eight times and mysteriously disappeared eight times - were they destroyed by unimaginable disasters or exterminated by a terrifying plague?  Or have they gotten rid of the shackles of the mortal body and sublimated into some kind of higher existence?  No one knows all this.

The creators of these ancient civilizations have disappeared, but their traces are still everywhere in the world of Kavana.  The land is dotted with mysterious ancient buildings and machinery. Landmarks of staggering size show the glory of ancient civilizations. Devices with magical powers are dotted among them. Some are still roaring, but their owners have long since disappeared.

There are floating islands with crystal structures floating in the sky, the vitrified plains stretch as far as the eye can see, the huge machinery is wider than a country, and the climate changes strangely around it - in one day, spring, summer, autumn and winter.

The ninth civilization in Kavanagh's world is still very immature. It has just emerged from the era of ignorance, and the feudal country has gradually replaced the old system.  They worship the relics left by ancient civilizations but know nothing about the secrets of their operation.  The Kavana people look similar to the Athas people, slightly shorter and thinner, and can still be considered human by the standards of the multiverse.  But in the eyes of Athas humans, they are just a secondary race, a type of humanoid.

When the conquerors of Athas came to this world, its inhabitants belonged to many opposing nations, fighting against each other and knowing nothing about the coming enemies.

The druids of Starhespence paralyzed half of the world with a newly invented epidemic.  The blasphemer mages abused their spells wantonly, turning large swaths of fields into desert.  Psions use decapitation tactics to raid the world's leaders and replace them with mind-seed powers.  When elven horse archers from desert tribes, mercenaries from merchant families, former templars from city-states, and adventurers pursuing wealth descended from the sky, there was not much organized resistance left.

The process of conquest here was quick and smooth, just like it was on countless other worlds during the Great Conquest.

But after that, the Athas people found that this world was really tasteless and it was a pity to abandon it.  It is not rich in minerals, nor rich in wealth, and there are not even many Kawana people who can serve as laborers.  Not to mention that this place is full of dangerous ancient ruins, is full of dangers, and has a volatile climate, making it unsuitable for colonization.

The conqueror of Kavanagh, Yavos Pasha, only stayed here for ten Athas months, and he couldn't wait to conquer the new world.  Before taking it away, he wanted to auction off his pasha title, but unfortunately the price was too high and no one took it. In the end, it was bought by a little-known adventurer.  This adventurer took a fancy to the rich ancient ruins in the world of Kavana and thought that he might be able to unearth some ancient artifacts and sell them for money.  So he gathered a group of antiquities hunters to explore around the world of Kavana, and then mysteriously disappeared.

From the perspective of Sharia law of the Atas people, this adventurer is just missing but not dead, so no one can inherit his title of pasha.  Since then, there has been no ruler in this world, only many smugglers, adventurers and antiquities hunters gathered here.

When Simon landed here with the stolen magic ship, he hardly attracted any attention.  Strange people visit here every day. Some magic ships are so weird that they look like a living nautilus or a flying teacup. In comparison, the warships of Witch King Malik are a bit normal.

The landing site is similar to a garbage dump. There are dilapidated and various boats everywhere. Some boats have damaged hulls, and the boat owners just use wooden boards or tarpaulins to block them.  Occasionally there are new ships, and they are guarded by sailors with unkind expressions.

When the psychic followed Simon off the boat, a one-eyed old sailor came over. He was dirty and the clothes on his body were dark and greasy. He wiped his nose, took a sip and said: "The parking fee is one  One hundred disaster coins."

This man was lying. Muhadi noticed it without reading his mind. His thoughts were fluctuating as if he was declaring loudly that he was a liar.

The psychic opened his mouth to remind Simon, but when he saw that the latter didn't say much, he raised his hand and threw out a flying knife.  The rough-looking old sailor was stabbed in the neck and fell straight down without saying a word.  The red blood was quickly absorbed by the strange black land.  Some people wandering around the landing site looked at this place curiously, not knowing whether they wanted to go forward and loot the body, or if they had ill intentions towards these newcomers.

"This is a fake. There is no parking fee here." Simon picked up his throwing knife and hurriedly explained to the psychic.  "Some scammers deliberately pretend to be managers and charge like uninformed people."

"Listen to what you said, are you a knowledgeable person?" Muhadi asked him.

"No one knows this place better than me!" The selfish captain began to boast and talk.??How familiar are you with this environment?  And how safe it is here. Many notorious and wanted criminals have been hiding here for many years without being discovered.

¡°I am not a wanted criminal.¡± Muhadi said, realizing that the other party seemed to have a wrong image of his identity.  "This looks like a garbage dump. Are you sure this is a good place to inquire?"

    ¡°Extremely well-informed,¡± Simon assured.

"But it seems to me that there are not many magic ships parked here." Muhadi pointed out.  "And besides us, no one else has taken off or landed here for half a day. Is the world really as well-informed as you say?"

"There are indeed not many residents in this world." Simon admitted, "But there are many people who come here, including adventurers, smugglers, pilgrims who cannot afford the high-priced ship tickets, slave traders, antiquities hunters, mercenaries and fugitives  It¡¯s just that not many people come to this landing site. There are seven other major magic ship landing sites in the world.¡±

¡°If you¡¯ve ever been to Crystal Plaza in Endpoint City,¡± Captain Smuggler continued.  "You should know how busy the routes to and from here are. Where should be the relics of the seventh or eighth generation civilization of this world, a huge crystal plain stretches out like a mirror, enough to accommodate a hundred ships.  The Witch King¡¯s largest warship. And it¡¯s almost always more than half occupied.¡±

¡°In that case,¡± Mohadi said.  "Then why did you choose to land here instead of this Crystal Square you mentioned?"

"Uh," Simon was stunned for a moment, as if he was trying to hide something, but in the end he didn't dare to hide it in front of the psion and said it out.  "I had some issues with the gang leader in Endpoint Citya little financial dispute, plus some unfounded emotional entanglements, and maybe some regrettable bloody conflicts, but it's really nothing."

The Psion listened to his words, took a deep breath, and then turned his head to stare at the smuggler captain.  "You really want to say goodbye to your head, don't you."

"Ah, if a person's head is cut off, he should say goodbye to his body. After all, the mouth is on the head. But" Simon Havarian pleaded.  "But then you won't be able to find a faithful and capable captain to take the helm for you."

"Believe it or not, even if there is no magic ship. I can fly in the star realm for many years with my psychic powers. Even the Taotie Star that devours all things can't do anything to me." The psychic warlock threatened.

"This? This is too exaggerated. But I understand what you mean." The smuggler captain continued to plead.  "But the reason why I chose to land here is not entirely for my own reasons. Endpoint City is the largest settlement in the world. Although it is lawless there, there are no spies from the Witch King coming. They come and go in a hurry, what are they here for?  No one knows what¡¯s going on. Although it¡¯s remote here, it¡¯s much safer.¡±

Mohadi thought for a moment before giving up the idea of ??punishing Simon.  "This statement is barely acceptable. Now find me a safe place, and then start asking for information."

The smuggler captain Rumeng Dahe breathed a long sigh of relief and immediately agreed.  Then, he ordered his sailors to take turns guarding the magic ship. Although those people were unruly, they seemed to really obey Simon's command.

The sailors stayed on the magic ship for a long time, during which they encountered the Witch King's men and narrowly escaped death. As soon as they landed, they would definitely find some fun in their busy schedule.  In order to prevent these people from leaking their whereabouts in the hookah pipe, Muhadi simply dropped deep hints on them collectively, making them unable to say anything even if they wanted to.

It is not difficult for a great psychic to show the power of deep suggestion to so many people at once, but it is very difficult to do it in an instant like Muhadi without attracting any attention.

Simon is not bragging, he is really familiar with this area.  With the psion, you can travel between old and new magic ships with ease.  Among the vehicles parked here, the largest one is like a hill, and a large bazaar has opened in the shadow cast by it, selling various spacecraft parts and ancient relics collected in this world.  The smallest magic ship is connected from end to end, and there are a hundred of them, but it is not as big as the shadow of the big ship.

Along the way, Mohadi saw a wide variety of races.  In addition to the Athas, there are also residents of the star realm and the outer plane, aasimar from the wild wilds and tieflings with blood from the lower plane, as well as unnamed people from some distant half-lands.  Plane of non-human creatures.  Of course, the largest number are the natives of Kavana's world and humans from other main material planes.

Some people noticed Simon and Mohadi and got around to sell all kinds of strange products, while others tried to recommend them places to stay and have fun.  Some people even want to take a ride, and their reasons are varied. Some sayI came to this world for adventure, but not only did I not get rich, I couldn't even afford a boat ticket home.  Some said they were pilgrims and wanted to go to the holy star Atas, so they took a boat all the way here.  Others said that they were originally sailors, but their ship was destroyed by local gangs. Now they just want to find a job on a magic ship, which can go anywhere.

Simon ignored such people, but Mohadi gave some of them a few gold coins.  "I can't take you anywhere else, it's not safe with me," the Psion told them.  "But the money can help you."

¡°Don¡¯t believe what they say.¡± Simon was a little anxious when he saw Mohadi giving money to others casually.  "Most of these people's excuses are made up. If you give them money, they might go somewhere to drink three or two bottles."

¡°If they have the ability to deceive my psychic powers, then it¡¯s okay to reward them with a few gold coins.¡± Muhadi said, and the smuggler captain just shrugged.

After walking for a while, when they were almost leaving the landing site, several Atasi people wearing white robes and covering their faces came over.  They don't seem to be businessmen selling things, nor do they seem to be asking for help.  The psychics can clearly detect from the fluctuations in their thoughts that these people are not doing good.

They have a weird smell on them, and they seem to be dyed in strange colors in Muhadi's synaesthesia.  Generally speaking, only mages are like this, because they often carry a variety of spellcasting materials - many of which are rare spices.

The blasphemer mages and psychics realized that they carried various protective magic items with them.  In the past, Athas, powerful magic props and full-metal armor were relatively rare, but they can be seen everywhere after the Great Conquest.

Simon was startled. He glanced around quickly and found that he had no way to hide, so he had to confess to the psion: "They seem to be the gangsters in Endpoint City I really don't think so."  I know how they found this place, I swear I've been very careful."

"And you once again involved me in your own mess," the psychic said. "When this matter is resolved, I will"

The blasphemer mages seemed to be worried about the two of them escaping, so they cast instant portal spells directly to the latter.  There are two people at the front, back, left and right.

These people are quite capable, Muhadi judged, but they are far from enough to stop him.

"Dear guest." The leading blasphemer mage asked in a respectful tone without even looking at the smuggler captain. He saluted Mohadi respectfully.  "Our master invites you to be our guest."
