Not far to the south of Giant Insect Canyon is an unnamed mountain plain with a lower altitude, but the terrain is relatively open and very flat, and there are no dangerous beasts in it.  This is a rare and quiet area in the vast and dangerous chaotic land.

At the southern end of the Wumingshanyuan, there are more than a dozen peaks about a thousand feet high, arranged in the shape of the word "one", like loyal guards, guarding this beautiful and peaceful mountain plain.

At the end of autumn, the sky in the morning was a little gloomy, but it didn't look like it was going to rain.

???????????????????????????????????????????? out out of a quiet valley mouth under the green mountain peaks, Bian Yao and the boy in gray walked easily, and then ran towards the southeast along a winding narrow road.

Near noon, the two climbed up a long and lonely hill. When they stopped and looked south, they both had a look of surprise on their faces.

Looking from a distance, what comes into view is a strange "black" scenery.  If you really want to say it, it is a strange and strange forest. There is not a single leaf in the boundless forest, but only bare trunks and branches.

There are many famous places in Chaos Plains. Some are spread because of "chaos"; some are directly labeled as "dangerous"; some are famous for being "mysterious", but when it comes to weirdness, this is not it.  This is the "leafless forest"!

In the afternoon, the weather suddenly turned sunny, and the autumn sun appeared in the sky.

Bian Yao and the young sword cultivator were walking on the deserted road. The two jumped over a dry ravine and stopped at the same time.  Less than a mile away in front of them was the "Leafless Forest".

"Actually, it only takes an extra four or five days to avoid this forest. Haven't you heard the rumors about this place?" When Bian Yao asked this, his eyes were staring ahead, with tears on his face.  He showed an expression that was difficult to explain.

"Of course I've heard of it. It's nothing more than ghosts and savages. Are you scared?" The boy in gray casually put the sword on his shoulder and looked forward coldly.

"I'm not afraid!" Bian Yao subconsciously raised his voice and argued loudly: "I just think that if we avoid this forest, we can avoid some unnecessary trouble."

"What does the legendary savage look like? Don't you want to take a look?" The young man in gray clothes said and suddenly stepped forward.

"Those savages can even kill Dream Maniacs! What's more, it seems that there are not only savages here." Bian Yao frowned and said, then curled his lips and followed him with a murmur.

There is only one kind of tree with a very special appearance growing in the leafless forest - the claw tree. This is a tree with a completely black trunk and branches. It is strange and weird!  Each claw tree is about three to four feet high. It branches out from the root about seven feet upward. Five thicker branches branch out from each branch, and five branches are regenerated from the branches.  Twigs, and so on.

There are no leaves on the branches of the palm tree. At first glance, the shape looks like the fingers of an old man, dry and thin. The difference is probably only in the color.  It's all bald and black, giving people a cold and weird feeling!

Not long after the two of them entered the forest, they faintly felt a cold air coming from all directions, intersecting and intertwining throughout their bodies, making it impossible to escape.

There is nothing special on the ground in the woods. Unknown weeds grow wantonly. Due to the season, the originally green grass leaves have already turned a withered yellow color.  In addition, there is a rather strange phenomenon. Within half a foot of each claw tree, there are almost no other plants.

Bian Yao walked slowly behind the young man in gray, with a very strange look on his face. After walking a few steps, he suddenly asked: "Do you think these trees are dead? How can any living tree grow like this?"  ?Will they all wither and die?"

"The whole forest seems to be filled with this kind of strange trees. They don't look like they are dead, and there is not a single fallen leaf on the ground." The boy in gray clothes spoke, turning his head to look left and right from time to time, obviously very curious about this place.

The two of them walked slowly through the forest. After a while, Bian Yao suddenly stopped, stared at a claw tree next to him for a few times, frowned and said to himself: "How can a living tree not grow leaves?  ?¡±

While speaking, Bian Yao suddenly opened his right hand, and Wusha Sword instantly appeared in his palm. He held the hilt of the sword with his backhand and waved his arm forward!

The cold light flashed past, and a cut mark about half an inch deep immediately appeared on the ink-colored tree trunk. A clear liquid slowly flowed out of the mark, colorless and odorless.  After a slight hesitation, Bian Yao stretched out a finger forward. When his fingertips touched the sap, he could feel a slight chill.

"It seems that these trees are indeed alive." The young man in gray suddenly stood behind him and suddenly said.

"It's weirder to be alive"?!  "Bian Yao put away the Wusha sword, stretched out his hand to touch the tree, and said with a sudden look on his face: "There is cold air in the sap. No wonder it feels colder inside the forest than outside.  "

The young man in gray clothes did not answer. He looked up at the blue sky and said lightly: "Are you still leaving?"

"Let's go, let's go." Bian Yao quickly turned his head and replied with a smile.

Since there is no obstruction by leaves, the view is pretty good.  Just like that, after a moment of delay, the two of them got up and ran south, one after the other.

Only half an hour later, the young man in gray clothes who was running in front suddenly changed his eyes. He quickly ran to an open space diagonally ahead and stopped.

On several claw trees around the clearing, a dozen crows that were originally resting were suddenly frightened. They flapped their black wings and flew up from the branches, making a peaceful noise of "croaking" in mid-air.

Bian Yao followed closely to the open space, and at a glance he saw many fragmentary bones scattered on the ground, a few here and a few there, almost more than twenty places.

"I'm afraid this man was killed by the 'savages'!" Bian Yao looked away from a long bone, his face looking a little abnormal.

The young man in gray frowned slightly, thought silently for a while, and said in a strange tone: "I'm afraid it's not just as simple as 'killing'! He might even eat it in his stomach."

Hearing what he said, Bian Yao couldn't help but roll his eyes and said seriously: "If I die, I don't want to be eaten by something."

"You're all dead, it's not up to you then!" The young man in gray gave a weird laugh, jumped forward, and continued on his way.

"You are unwilling to take a detour. If you really die here, it will be on your account!" Bian Yao hurriedly followed and shouted loudly from behind.

An hour later, the setting sun began to set in the west, and the golden afterglow shone slantingly into the leafless forest.  Two swift figures were running between the black claw trees. The figures of the people and the shadows of the trees were merging and diverging rapidly. The alternation of light and darkness painted scenes of mottled visions.

Time flies by, and when the late autumn sun sinks completely below the horizon, the light in the forest suddenly disappears, the color of the sky begins to darken, and the leafless forest has fallen into deep twilight.

Running to a small open space, the young man in gray suddenly stopped, turned around, looked around, and said, "Let's stay here for the night tonight, and we'll be on our way tomorrow."

Naturally, Bian Yao would not have any objections. It was already late and it would be unwise to continue on the road.  He nodded "Yeah", sat down on the spot, took out a few spiritual fruits from the space bag and started eating by himself.

The young man in gray clothes said no more. He put the sword and the baggage on the ground and sat down silently. There was a hint of concentration between his brows, and he didn't know what he was thinking.

I don¡¯t know when, but as if suddenly, a faint cold mist filled the leafless forest.  The twilight is getting thicker, the light mist is drifting everywhere, and the black claw trees are quietly blending into the approaching dark night.

Bian Yao swallowed the last bixiang fruit, turned around and looked around, and said slowly: "I'll keep vigil tonight. I won't close my eyes until I get out of this hellish place!"

"Whatever you want!" The young man in gray clothes said calmly, sitting cross-legged and closing his eyes.

After a while, the sky became completely dark.  The cold night was long and lonely, and stars began to twinkle overhead.

Under the starry sky at night, the leafless forest was surprisingly quiet, and no wind could be heard. There seemed to be a strange crow sound coming from the distance, intermittent, if there was no sound.

Time is passing quietly, and the footsteps of night are silent.

Since nightfall, Bian Yao has been keeping his eyes wide open and looking left and right from time to time to prevent being attacked by the rumored "savage".  In fact, if he was alone, he could hide his figure as before, and there would be no need to be as worried as now.  But now there is another person beside me. No matter what the reasons and considerations are, I can't do that.

Because it was a clear night and the special environment in the leafless forest, with the cool starlight, the situation within ten feet nearby could be seen clearly.

??Unconsciously, it has been more than half an hour into the night, and the crooked silver moon has risen not long ago.  When Bian Yao glanced around again, his body trembled suddenly and he couldn't help but shudder!

But under the melancholy moonlight, about ten feet away to the right and front of Bian Yao, a white figure could be vaguely seen floating, neither approaching nor far away.  I don¡¯t know when it appeared, but it didn¡¯t make any movement at all, and even the young sword cultivator didn¡¯t notice it.

"Hey! Look what is that?" Bian Yao rolled his eyes and shouted in a low voice.

Hearing this, the young man in gray clothes opened his eyes, his eyes moved slightly, and then he turned towards the white man.Looking in the direction where ? is.

Bian Yao moved to his side and asked in a slightly weird tone: "Is it a human or a ghost? Can you tell?"

¡°We¡¯ll find out if we go and see it!¡± The young man in gray clothes suddenly stood up, drew his sword in his hand, and walked straight towards Bai Ying.

Bian Yao was suddenly stunned. Along the way, he knew that the young sword cultivator was very courageous, and compared with it, his own caution seemed inferior.  Shaking his head helplessly, he stood up immediately, holding the Wusha Sword tightly in his hand, and walked towards Bai Ying.

However, when the two of them walked less than two feet away, they saw the white shadow starting to move into the distance.  Both of them felt a little surprised and couldn't help but pause.  However, what surprised them even more was that the white shadow also stopped.  Bai Ying's strange behavior seemed to be teasing them, or luring them to catch up.

The gray-clothed young man locked his cold eyes on the white figure and stood still, meditating.  Bian Yao took two steps to his side, glanced at him a few times, and said nothing, as if waiting for him to speak.

"You are on the right and I am on the left, outflank him!" As soon as he finished speaking, the figure of the young man in gray suddenly moved and turned into a black shadow, quickly going around to the left.

Bian Yao kicked off his toes, then quickly rushed out, forcing Bai Ying from the right side.

¡°Perhaps they did not expect that the two of them would act like this, but Bai Ying froze on the spot and did not move for a moment. In just a few breaths, the two of them had already rushed to Bai Ying.

Suddenly, the white shadow whirled around and mysteriously disappeared from the sight of the two young men.  The next moment, a figure appeared again ten feet away, very strange.

Bian Yao and the young man in gray sluggishly stood there and looked around vigilantly.

"Did you see clearly? It seems to be a woman." Bian Yao stared at the white figure not far away, then suddenly turned his head and said.

The boy in gray didn't answer. After thinking for a moment, he suddenly turned around and walked back, ignoring the strange white figure.  Bian Yao was slightly confused, then smiled again, looked back at Bai Ying for a few times, and then walked back behind the young man.

Soon, the two of them returned to the place where they originally stayed. The young man in gray thrust his sword into the ground and continued to meditate with his legs crossed and his eyes closed.  Bian Yao sat quietly aside, turning his neck from time to time and glancing in the direction of Bai Ying.

Bai Ying did not leave. He was still moving back and forth around the area, trying to attract the attention of Bian Yao and the other two. However, the two men just sat there and never got up again.

Half a moment later, the white shadow suddenly stopped and quickly drifted away into the distance, disappearing in the blink of an eye.

Seeing this, Bian Yao slowly let out a breath and was about to speak, but saw the young man in gray suddenly opened his eyes, with a trace of surprise and suspicion on his eyes and face.

"There's something approaching!" The young man in gray said, with a few cold gleams flashing in his eyes, and he pulled out the sword with a flick of his hand.

In the blink of an eye, dozens of swift figures were seen, jumping from all around and approaching, making strange "beep" sounds from their mouths.

In the leafless forest, under the cold light of night, some of the furry figures are half-crouching on the ground, while others are climbing on the claw trees, but all of them are holding various weapons, including knives, swords, and spears.  , hammer etc.

"Is this the rumored savage? It turns out it's true!" Bian Yao whispered to himself, and he couldn't help but tighten his grip on the Usha Sword in his hand.

In the darkness of the night, facing those cold-blooded eyes, the two young men each held swords and stood leaning on their backs, assuming a posture of facing a powerful enemy.

??Shu Xing and Leng Yue, a seemingly inevitable killing battle is about to begin!
