Chapter 117 Flame Dragon Breath, the true face of the dragon Drak

But Isabel didn¡¯t catch up.  The environment here is too weird. If you encounter another trap in a hurry, it will not be a blessing.  There is a second team guarding the entrance of the temple. These bereaved dogs cannot escape easily.

A guard picked up the dying torch on the ground and carefully fiddled with it with the tip of his sword.  The flame gradually grew stronger again, and the light returned to its original brightness.

At the other end of the altar, the Mimic's body was like a broken box that had fallen apart, lying on the ground in a helter-skelter manner.  Arati was trying to pull back the scimitar and giant sword that were stuck to the box.  With the death of the Mimic, one of the weapons it relies on for hunting - the transparent mucus secreted randomly from all over the body gradually loses its viscosity and becomes dry and broken bit by bit.  After shaking and pulling a few times, the sword easily detached from the surface of the wooden box.

"Well done, Mr. Arati." Isabel clapped her hands in approval, and the girl's eyes were full of sincere admiration. "There is no doubt about the power of your martial arts."

"My lord, thank you." Arati just nodded slightly, but he was not too humble.  If he didn't even have this self-confidence, he would never be able to practice to this level.

Raising the giant sword that he had snatched from the strange place in his hand, Arati examined it carefully under the firelight. He gently brushed the blade with two fingers of his right hand, then bent his middle finger and flicked it gently on the spine of the sword.  .

    ¡°Buzz¡ª¡ª¡±

With the crisp sound, a satisfied smile appeared on Arati's face.

"Sir, this is really a good sword. Maybe it was made by a famous master craftsman." Arati turned the hilt of the sword over and handed it to Isabel, "Can you see if it fits your hand?"

"This is your trophy, and it should naturally belong to you." Isabel waved her hand and refused with a smile.

"I'm used to using scimitars, so I can't use this sword. But for you, if you plan to continue to develop in martial arts, a good main weapon is indispensable." Arati shook his head and kicked the ground  The corpse of the mimic monster said, "With all due respect, your current sword is only good at cutting people. If you encounter strange and weird creatures like these, I'm afraid it won't be enough. I won't tell you how far away it is, can you?  If the dragon scale is damaged, I don¡¯t have much hope.¡±

"Okay, let me take it first." Isabel thought for a moment, then stopped insisting and reached out to take the giant sword, "Maybe it will come in handy in a while."

"You two, go there and search carefully." Arati turned around and ordered two guards.

The two of them responded and immediately moved behind the altar, touching and knocking on the left and right.  Soon, there was a friction sound, and someone exclaimed: "Sir, the secret passage is a staircase going down."

"Down hereis the red dragon's lair?" Isabel and Arati stood in front of the stairs, exchanged glances, and looked down.

This is a dilapidated passage, and most of the steps are broken.  Far below, one can vaguely detect the glimmer of some torches.  As the secret door was fully opened, the air coming out from below was mixed with a pungent smell, which seemed to be sulfur and soot.

"The windows in the hall were sealed and pitch-black, but there are torches lighting up the secret passage?" Isabel suddenly smiled, with the corners of her mouth raised slightly, "It's a bit interesting"

The guards behind the girl were not as relaxed as their hostess. The pungent smell of fireworks seemed to remind them all the time of the fire dragon's burning breath that burned everything.

"Let's go down and have a look." After saying this, Isabel stepped down the stairs first and walked towards the unknown underground secret passage.

Arati held the ancestral magic scimitar tightly and closed his eyes.  In an instant, countless thoughts seemed to be passing by, but they were all thrown away and cut off by him.

"Everything is empty, everything is allowed" He murmured in a low voice.

Opening his eyes, Alati followed the girl into the secret passage without any hesitation.

Seeing his mistress and instructor entering the secret passage one after another, the remaining guards looked at each other with a wry smile. After hesitating for a moment, they finally quickly chased after her.

The stairs were actually not as long as they thought. While the guards were still hesitating, Isabel, who was the first to go down, had already spotted her target in the distance.

Under the stairs is an open platform, with four carved stone pillars as thick as two people hugging each other, distributed in a square shape, connected to the ceiling above the head.  A large cloud of thick black smoke was dispersed in the center of the four stone pillars, and inside the black smoke was a huge red body.  Its eyes were blood orange and shone strangely.  cigaretteEmerging from its nose, it rose from the platform at its feet.

Isabel couldn't fully tell how big it was, because the only thing she could see clearly was its triangular head, which looked like a viper magnified countless times.

"Who broke into the great Drac's lair?" A huge voice roared, as if the whole room was shaking.

Isabel said nothing, her eyes fixed on the huge figure below, her eyes flickering.

Arati, who came later, crossed Isabel with a single stride and silently stood in front of the girl.  The huge body brought about the same huge pressure. This powerful warrior suddenly felt that all his previous inferences were nothing but baseless nonsense.  He firmly grasped the handle of the knife and crossed the two knives in front of his chest, as if only doing so could bring him a little sense of security.

The energy and spirit of the whole body increased to the extreme, and Alati's attention was completely focused on the giant dragon surrounded by black smoke.  The young monarch behind him seemed to say something in a strange and familiar language, but he no longer paid attention to it.

"Reptiles! Do you actually want to challenge the great Drak? He devours the city! He is a punishment from the sky! He is the master of everything he sees!" The huge triangular head turned slightly and faced the two of them.  The roaring voice roared, as if mocking the two weak people at their feet, "Intruders, surrender yourselves to the great Drac! He promises you that death will come so gently."

Just as the dragon was speaking, the guards had already arrived in front of the platform.  Compared with Arati, these young men who have never seen the world are even more miserable.  The shadow cast by the huge body shrouded them, and the inexplicable fear brought by the ancient legend pressed them to death, unable to move.  If anyone could speak at this time, they might immediately beg their eldest lady to turn around and run away.

"Great Lord Drake, I'm sorry, there is no death in my schedule today." Isabel suddenly smiled brightly and said loudly.

Before the dragon could react, the girl gently raised her right index finger and said something quickly in a low voice.  A finger-sized ball of light suddenly appeared at her fingertips, and then shattered and disappeared in the next moment.

In the eyes of others, this may be just a fleeting beauty, but in Isabel's eyes, this is the dawn of victory.

"That's it, that's it." Isabel suddenly laughed happily, and actually took a step forward past Arati and strode towards the dragon, "Then, Lord Drake, just as you asked, I surrender.  "

??Everyone present was stunned unconsciously, and their minds could not turn around for a moment. What kind of behavior is this that makes the thunder loud and the rain small, but ends in an anticlimax?  Only Arati's heart moved, and the hand that was half stretched out to hold the girl quietly retracted.

The giant dragon named Drak might have been a little confused by Isabel's actions, but he didn't react at all, and just let the girl approach it step by step.

Isabel¡¯s footsteps were steady and light, but each step was extremely large. The original distance between the two sides was tens of meters, but there was only less than ten meters left between breathing.

The guards' hearts seemed to be in their throats. They couldn't help but hold their breath and stared at the brave girl in front of them, for fear of making any noise.

It was only then that the giant dragon seemed to suddenly come back to his senses.  With an angry roar, the huge triangular head suddenly pressed down, and with the sound of fierce flames burning, a huge ball of flames spurted out from the dragon's mouth and went straight towards Isabel.  Almost the entire staircase was covered in it, and it seemed inevitable to avoid it.

As if she had been prepared for it, Isabel instantly changed from forward to retreat, and suddenly turned upside down. Her movements were light, but she could barely escape the scope of the flames.  The swinging long skirt was ignited by sparks in a few places, but it was just swatted away by the girl.  After taking a deep sniff of the smell left after the flames burned out in the air, Isabel suddenly burst out laughing.

"Look what I found? A dragon whose breath is alchemical fire glue?" The girl seemed to be laughing so hard that she was almost out of breath. The guards behind her looked at each other. They had never seen this before.  The young lady who smiled so happily.  However, the next second, the girl stood up suddenly, as if she had returned to the solemn and majestic female monarch in the blink of an eye.  She hit the giant sword with a wave of her hand and ordered loudly, "Alati, don't give them time to reset the mechanism!"

Isabel didn¡¯t need to say anything, Arati rushed out early in the morning.

The huge thing in front of me turned out to be a fake dragon!  !  !  And he didn't discover the flaw immediately!  It was only after he was reminded by his young monarch that he finally came to his senses!  What a shame!  In Arati's heart at this moment, there was a raging fire licking his soul.  Unforgivable!  It¡¯s unforgivable!  I will never spare those guys who are pretending to be gods and ghosts!  !  !

With a strong force under his feet, Arati jumped up from the steps like an eagle spreading its wings, stretched out his arms, and rushed towards the dragon head that was still glowing with light.  A suit of steel armor seemed to be nothing on his body, and his tyrannical strength and superb skills were undoubtedly displayed in this full-strength leap.

The length of time this leap lasted was contrary to common sense to some extent. Arati felt vaguely that he seemed to have inadvertently touched some traces of his predecessors' master assassins.  But before he could fully comprehend it, the huge dragon head was already in front of him.

At this moment, the distance was very close. Alati looked intently and saw clearly the true face of the dragon hidden in the black smoke.

This is a huge hollow statue made mostly of wood. Its appearance has been carefully modified, and it does look somewhat like a giant dragon.  There are several simple lever mechanisms around it, which can make its head make some basic movements.  There were several piles of coal pits placed near the four pillars, burning messy debris, billowing out bursts of thick black smoke.

The anger burning in his heart seemed to inadvertently increase Arati's strength. He suddenly spun strangely in mid-air, and the scimitars in his hands spun around his body, creating strips of light.

In the blink of an eye, countless light strips quickly formed a cold ball of light.  Arati's own body seemed to be wrapped in a ball of light and disappeared.

This ball of light suddenly paused when it came into contact with the faucet, and then slowly fell down, as light as a goose feather and silently.  Just like water droplets thrown into the sea, all the surrounding black smoke is avoided, revealing the physical form of the statue.

The light of the sword dissipated, and Alati¡¯s feet landed firmly on the platform.  He exhaled softly and put his swords back into their sheaths.

It was only then that a huge crashing sound came from the direction above.  Wherever the ball of light passed, the head, neck, and chest of the giant dragon statue exploded almost at the same time. The front half of the statue was shattered into tiny pieces of wood under Alati's full blow.

Everyone present, including Isabel, was shocked by the huge destructive power of this blow. They stopped involuntarily and stared blankly at the wood chips flying and falling all over the sky.
